Database Info

I need help..

Went to flash a rom and my dog ran past the PC and the cable got unplugged.Now all i can get on the phone is..
Firmware encountered an issue.Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again..
Wasn't using Kies was using Odin.and nothing will recognize the phone now..
Above the message i have a image of a phone Download triangle and a PC..
Any ideas?

does it look like this...
that is still download mode you can use this the one click to take it or reload it....
if you get that message it is still being recognized ok...

try diff usb port...try running it the odin

nothing is seeing the phone... Crappola..

keep trying...it does take a few tries...to go into dl mode, and then for the pc to id it...

Good..

Tried all the usb ports on my desktop. Every port says "Usb device not recognized"
Any workaround?

Try a different cord. Happened to me like that once.

I need help also. I was trying to put in a new rom on the computer (I know i shouldn't have done that) anyways after i was trying to install the rom my phone got stuck on the Samsung Logo and when I try using Odin and putting my phone in download mode my computer doesn't regonize my phone, it just says unknown devices. I need help on restoring my phone back to normal. I want to unbrick it to stock

Try with a new cable as I did & then follow my video tutorial Video Tutorial - Samsung Infuse 4G back to stock Froyo 2.2.1 (I997UCKD5+Root+3e)

[q] i need help!!

Alright, my phone is currently soft-bricked and i have had a lot of experiences in unbricking the phone. However, this time..i could not unbrick my phone
so what happened was. yesterday night i did nandroid backup of miui rom, and flashed a different rom, i didn't like the new rom so i was gonna do the nandroid restore to go back to miui. after restoring i rebooted the phone and it gets stuck on samsung logo bootloop.
So, as i always do, i went to my computer, got my phone into download mode, and flashed infusion1.0 kernel through odin so that i would get the cwm back. and it failed. so i took the battery out and did the volume down+up+usb combo to get to download mode, but this time it went to {phone (exclamation!) computer} and odin does not recognize the device anymore..
tried reinstalling drivers and everything..still no hope..i have also tried this on a diff computer but it didn't work either. my computer makes the sound thing when the phone is connected to it.. but phone does not show up in odin.
i think my phones hard bricked now.. what do u guy think?

Same thing happened to me...so I grabbed my wife's laptop installed drivers and Odin and it worked...make sure to try different USB cables and try also try different computers..Odin still won't recognize my phone on my laptop. But it works every time with the wifes

Well I have two laptops and one computer. And I still couldn't get odin to work, I guess I'll buy a new cable and see how it goes

I thought I was screwed...but after reading many people got it to work with different computers or cables or even trying different USB ports so like I said different comp. Worked for me....but still don't know why hope this helped

I recently read that the cable that comes with the phone is really only for charging and that they make cables specifically for data transfer

For me its great. Lol when i actually used my ipod in my battery case i would use the sammy cable to backup my ipod to the computer.

i think i broke my infuse :(

first of all it was working all good with jvu saurom port then out of curiosity i decided to go for jbparanoid,
after that everything is good but i decided to go back to gb(jvu saurom port) i cant seem to load it to red cwm after flashing the port of jvu,
so i tried formating /system/cache/data still no red nor regularbootup
stupidity strikes i decided to format boot :crying: there i got the samsung logo but wont even start to boot nor i cant access blue or red cwm :crying::crying:
now im on my laptop trying to go back to stock and Download mode it cant even show the option its just samsung logo and it cant even be recognized by my laptop tried uninstalling everything that relates to samsung and fresh install kies and samsung drivers but no luck tried heimdall/odin it doesnt go it cant even recognize my phone :crying::crying:
i need help im pretty close to darkness here :crying:

Try pulling the battery then put battery in and hold volume up and volume down then plug in USB cable and see if it goes into download mode. If it doesn't the ONLY two things that will possibly work is a USB jig or getting a memeber who can JTAG it and recover it for you.

been trying the download mode more than ever its not going thru ill look into usb jig and my laptop wont recognize my laptop :crying:

Did that sir a retractable one but no use

Sometimes it's just a matter of waiting and perseverance. Try disconnecting your phone from the computer, taking the battery out, leaving it for 10 mins. & then coming back and trying again.

Ok thanks will try that im taking every advice i can get my other option is go back to at&t if not ill get jig online ill take out the battery right now. Sad thing about it my laptop nor pc wont recognize it tried a bunch of drivers and removed a bunch too

do you get any kind of error message when you try to connect the phone.... I had a similar problem and had to redownload the drivers ..... then was able to get the computer to recgonize the phone... the other issue you might have is a bad USB cable.

Its installing as unknown device and sometimes it cant read it

Good that at&t send you new one bro, but mine before have a problem totally bricked samsung vibrant and my samsung infuse which has power button problem i send it to here http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/ is fast shipping and services are amazing, i can't complain to at&t since i bought phones from craiglists before.

yeah im still in warranty so no questions about it they said well rreplace it asap so yeah..lesson learned

[Q] PC & Odin not recognizing my INFUSE

I've got hard time with my Rogers infuse to get it back to stock rom. it just went completly dead.
I've got a USB JIB from ebay and YES!! my phone is into download mode now but when I plug it into my PC it does not show up. and neither on ODIN. The phone is not working at all I need to remove the battery and put the usb JIG to get it into download mode and that the only thing that I can see or do with the phone. can anyone help me with that please? :crying: All I want is to get it back to stock rom and re-use again my phone

The cable is a longshot. I've had this happen a bunch. It has to do with your drivers. Find the right ones and you will be golden.
For a longshot quickfix, this happens to me if i have my phone plugged into my USB 1.1 port on the front of my PC, as opposed to the USB 2.0 on theback (only when doing a back-to-stock/Download Mode operation).

I've tried with at least 5 cables, none of them works.
As for the drivers I've installed kies, this should be enough I think?

If you plugged it in to your pc and you get a non-recognition or unkknown usb device, your usb port may be bad.

yeah..if you can send data to the pc or get it to recognize, it MAY be your port

Try that jscotts Odin to stock guide, but this will change your Rogers infuse to At&t infuse GB 2.3.6
And you'll lose all your contacts.So make a backup!

Yes,a lot of effort required ,to make our own one because of the USB. It's not the same position pin as the guide. Better buy the right one would be. :good:
