[SOURCE] [UNOFFICIAL] CM7 for Infuse (Updated: 2011-09-29)

Some folks seem interested in how much progress is being made on a CM7 port for the Infuse, so here's a bit more information for everyone. I have included instructions on how to build your own version, but you will want to pay attention to the following list of what works and what doesn't.
Currently working:
Full EXT4 implementation using BML/STL not MTD. This means you can flash other ROMs without having to "unbrick". NOTE: This will be changing soon. We will switch to the standard way that CM7 on Samsung phones works, which is using MTD. This is so we can merge this into the SGS team and begin building nightlies.
CWM flashing (no rainbows in CWM)
GPS
Wifi
Accelerometer/Proximity and other sensors
Phone
SMS messaging
Camera, FFC, and flash
Haptic feedback and vibration
NO Rainbows using Froyo bootloaders.
Brightness control, including auto-brightness.
Wifi tethering
Hardware accelerated video playback and recording
Fixed issue with 4G speeds. Solved with some apns-conf.xml tweaks.
Incoming call ringtones.
Advanced camera settings, including face detection SEE:http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,7267
working backup/restore from CWM
OC/UV kernel with Interactive and Smartass governors and other tweaks.
USB storage fixed, including USB debug notification and USB tethering support (Thanks go to gtg465x)
Voodoo Sound now fixed after call. (thanks go to ajerman)
Bluetooth now back to semi-working state without breaking GPS. Will pair, A2DP audio skips, no sound/mic on phone calls via headsets.
NEW Fixed smartass governor so it scales properly, and has proper export defined in the kernel scheduler.
Currently broken:
Switching 2G/3G causes Phone app to force close. (May be fixed by http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,8259)
HDMI out (perhaps will never work until ATT GB dump)
Removed:
BLN (causing way too many instability and random reboot issues)
I have pretty much done this as a one man band, with some assistance from the GalaxyS guys, in particular codeworkx, Unhelpful and Kaik541.

Pay attention, because this matters.
In the "Install the Repository" section, use this line to download the repo script:

In the "Install the Repository" section, use this line for the repo init:

Skip the "Copy proprietary files" section. All proprietary files you need are included.
In the "Configure Build & Compile" step, replace "galaxysmtd" with "infuse4g"
When you are done building, you should have your very own version of CM7 with all the bugs that I mention above.

Flashing from RED CWM
When flashing from RED CWM, there are a few extra steps needed to get this working:
Flash CM7 zip
Reboot. You will get stuck at Samsung screen. This is normal.
Pull battery, and reboot into recovery (Hold: VOL+ VOL- Power)
You should now be in ORANGE CWM.
Go to "mounts and storage"
select format /system
Reflash CM7 zip (NOTE: don't forget gapps as well)
Reboot into CM7 goodness

Fixed up smartass governor so it actually works instead of falling back to interactive, and scales properly.

very cool. what are the chances of working mirrored mhl output? also what are the chances of 1080p movies playing natively through the mhl adapter and not being upscaled.
i beleive there should always be aosp work but if it doesn't offer all the key features ill flash the factory firmware.

My girl just bought this phone and I am looking into getting one bc I am sick of waiting on the galaxy s2. This thread makes me very hopeful that this phone will get the love of some good devs. If it got some solid aosp love I would buy one immediately, I love my inspire but the screen on the infuse is just amazing.

Don't think he forgot anything since it's not ready yet.

Yes, it's not ready, and honestly, it's not for use as a daily driver at this point. I would rather not release until I feel that everyone could run this and have most of the functionality that they are accustomed to having. This is more a place holder, and to keep everyone informed of how development is going with the original post. For instance, I have now fixed haptic and vibration as shown in post #1.

[Mod] Audiophile Dialers - Updated Aug. 21st, 2011

Here are some Dialers to go with the Audiophile ROM Series. All credits for the walls I used go to RaverX3X, for being the God he is with making this ROM Series. I'm just using the walls he put in the ROM with his permission.
This will get updated as I add more Dialers and if he decides to add any other walls as the series goes on for me to make more Dialers.
The names of the Dialers are my own for I just chose a name I thought would fit the image used.
These are supposed to be flashable, but if you have any troubles, just push the contents of the zip to the root directory and reboot.

Stepbystep on pushing if possible. I pushed the liquid dialertabact.apk to my system/app folder and it freezes when i open my dialer amd says process has stopped working.

since our wonderful dev RaverX3X decided to update redux to look like the gb version, now i have more dialers to work on cause he added more walls. its all good though, keeping me on my toes, will be updating in the next couple of days, so keep an eye out. some of the ones already posted may change since i'll be playing around with the graphics for a better look and feel.

i know i've been slacking here and i apologize for that. i do have a busy schedule here though. now since there are more stable gb roms out

these are for froyo only. I'll be working on some for GB when I get more time and maybe some more for froyo since some prefer froyo over GB. working 3rd shift and having a 5 year old daughter who just started school tends to put a damper on my work here. I will get some done though. just subscribe to this and keep an eye out.

I'll keep am eye out, and I'm going to try to make some also for GB. I found instructions from Paul627g on how to do this, and if I'm successful, I'll post them....wish me luck!

i figured go for a look that u all were fimillar with so i didnt theme the snot out of it as most seem to just eh at the themes so

Same as all other CM9/Aokp Directions follow them Not going to beat a dead horse you should know how to flash a rom by now.

Nice to see you around. This is from the first test release from a few days ago. Spent the last two days backpacking and climbing. Used the phone as a watch basically. Airplane mode the whole time with about an hour of music use. Battery life so far is well? see for yourself

Downloading to give it a try, dang 25min download. But it's a Raver Rom so I am sure it's worth it. Will attach screenies and logcats with any found issues.

Hrm i really didnt see any difference with the rom conpared to cm9 although i only spent 10 min on it cuz i wanted to update to latest cm9. Ran well while it did tho

Does bluetooth work on this ROM? I don't have time to test today but will tomorrow but I really need bluetooth and if does not work I will not be able to install this rom

It kills me that users are to lazy to make a nand backup then flash a new ROM. If it dont work out it takes 10 minutes to restore a backup and its setup exactly how they were before the flash, dont stress over what you cant test in the end its their loss and no sweat off you back.

i had no idea it needed testing lol. let me flash right quick and see what i can get working. i'm working so it may take a few minutes.
can not get bt to turn on. stays at turning on until it turns off.

Yeah lack of bluetooth and lockups are the only things that kept me from sticking with any given ics build.
What kind of batter life have people been getting? Im sort of spoiled with Supreme Sense battery life.

Wow!! I really need to get off of xda if people aren't reading what I have to say.. Honestly!! I'm about to get a LG Spectrum either Tuesday or Wednesday.. Development for the shift will continue.. Back to the topic, please read before you post before asking something that I can't do at the time.. [Not meaning to be harsh, I'm not like that] but C'MON!!
