help me please . i try everything i know but can't solve it.
thanks

Use GTG's Unbrick to flash to stock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116251
Afterwards check if you can access internal sd storage. That'll solve your software brick.

Did you try looking at the other 20+ posts in Q&A that everyone has responded to claiming they're bricked??
To get a little historic on you (thanks @nunhugger for that terminology) back in 2007 when your bricked your phone it was gone. Done. Paperweight. Your jailbreak messed up your iphone. DONE. ADIOS. GOODBYE. So.. Claiming that your phone is, "bricked" when in fact that's not the real definition, is wrong. What you have is a term that was coined, "soft brick" this has been bugging me for a while and your post just pushed me over..
In other words YOU'RE NOT BRICKED.

LOL.
Yeah... everyone claiming they're bricked is getting old. Maybe we need a sticky like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with bold "DON'T PANIC".

Since I've never used Heimdall or this "SGH-i997-UCKJ4-One-Click.jar" file you're talking about I can't give you advice on it. I can only give you advice on flashing Froyo and how to get back to stock. Are you able to access your internal sd storage from the official stock ROM using the My Files application? Can you see the internal SD storage when you go to SETTINGS -> SD CARD AND PHONE STORAGE?
From your initial post it sounds like you can no longer access your internal storage.

CWM Recovery have many tool maybe i can fix it, if i can install it.
thanks

Same here
I am in what sounds like the same situation. Heimdalled my way there as well. There is a link in the Infuse Super Thread that brings youto a Heimdall One-Click by Adam Outler that includes CWM. I used that and got CWM back but it is having all kinds of mounting issues. Can't remember them all right now (at work). Definatly can't mount sdcard and definatly can't mount or format system as well. I think there's more. I propose we work through this together Top10. I'll be back with more details after work (several hours from now).
---------- Post added at 01:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:15 PM ----------
My situation is complicated by not hacing Odin (mac user).
I'll try to resurect my old PC laptop tonight but expectations are not high.
For the record top10: I got CWM back and mess with it for hours last night without any sucess. Only gatered more information about what else is not mounting. I can't get to 3e but can get to download mode. Reboot from CWM just reboots straight back to CWM (after Sumsung screen). What are the rest of your details? If we're in the same boat then we'll be twice as strong together.

twice as strong or sink twice as fast.
try reading this guys...a few times.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437548
ps..dont worry too much about the mounting issue for now.

Dozen,
If you are using, heimdall. you have to flash the uckj4 twice.
after the first flash, click the bootloader box and flash it again.

The second flash with boot loaders is where it fails.
From researching I am thinking that something is wrong with the partitions.
Right now every time I pull the battery and try to boot it goes to red CWM and says:
ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.3 - Voodoo lagfix
E:Can't mout /devblock/stl11
(File exists)
E:Can't mount CASHE:recovery/command
E:Can't mount /dev/block/stl11
(File exists)
E:Can't mount CASHE:recovery/log
E:Can't open CASHE:recovery/log
E:Can't mount /dev/bloc/stl11
(File exists)
Get similar errors in mounts and storage
Can't CWM restore
Reflashing zip from sdcard fails eventually too.
Actually reflashing zip goes very fast and reboots back into red CWM
The problems all began when a second flash with bootloaders failed.

can you flash a ROM.zip from red cwm?
that is where you should be after you flash the Defuse kernel.
the mount e: drive error is normal

It apparently works but seems way too fast.
Then reboot just goes back into red CWM.
Reboot ALWAYS goes back to red CWM even if I ask for reboot to download or just pull battery and try to boot normally.
Failing at flashing the bootloaders and not booting without them scares me.
I can still mount to USB so I could download other zips.
Perhaps I will try to Heimdall a different ROM (like stock) any suggestions?

hi everybody
i know about my problem.
i try put external microsd card 16gb (sandisk ) and flash this "SGH-I997_I997UCKL2_UC_ATT" by Odin. when my phone boot it try to load logo at&t.
reboot 2-3time and wooo can load to home screen.
i try to check everything have wrong. i get it . the big problem my internal sdcard can't mount or format. i don't know it damage or have software issue. i try to flash back Odin_UCKE3_v2 it can't solve this problem. i think it internal sdcard damage.
i don't know how to walk out this problem
thanks everybody to share and tell me

I am realizing that your problem is quite different than mine.
I thought we could work together but my problem is so different that I must go elsewhere to avoid hijacking your thread.
I wish you the best of luck.

I'm seeing exactly the same thing on my phone right now - I'm into day 2 of fighting it.
* Flashing GTG's ultimate unbrick stops on the 9th bar of factoryfs.rfs in Odin.
* Flashing Heimdall gets me a flashed kernel, followed by a reboot into CWM with the quoted output.
* I've run everything in CWM that says wipe or format with no effect.
* I've run everything in CWM that says restore.
* I've reinstalled the only ROM that I have on my sdcard (zeus).
* I've done several combinations of the above multiple times.
* I've done this on 2 different computers on every USB port possible.
I've read the entire thread of GTG's unbrick and have seen nothing that I haven't listed above.
I'm not saying I'm bricked here, but I am saying that I'm out of ideas.

a possible problem with GTG's unbrick stopping midway is a bad connection.
Try rebooting your pc. unload any other antivirus.
use a different data cable or hold the one you have well against the phone to ensure a good connection while ... flashing your package...

Will try a different cable tonight once i've booted from lunix.
For the record:
Rebooting and cold booting have had no effect.
I don't run antivirus software, I just find it's a solution that's worse than the problem.

[Q] CM7 to Mezmerize Stock issues

So I flashed CM7 to my phone a while back. It worked. Fantastic.
There were some drawbacks to having a pre-nightly rom so I wanted out. I looked at the dev forums and saw the instructions to flash the full stock rom to the phone. A genuine factory reset. I followed the instructions, hoping it would work (and before anyone asks, yes, I did turn off the lagfix in voodoo).
Odin continually fails to flash the stock rom onto my phone and now I can only get to the bootloader on my phone. I can't mount USB storage, I can't get anything onto my phone to flash with CWM, and I now have a phone I cannot use until I get this fixed.
Obviously I did something wrong, but I'm having trouble retracing my steps to find out what that wrong move was. If anyone knows what I did wrong just by reading this, awesome, please help me out.
Also, when I try to mount usb storage from CWM, I get an error saying

Don't know if you're still having an issue, but flash ec10 or ee19 through Odin, and make sure to check re-partition. You can either stay there or go to the gingerbread based EH09, which is the official firmware. Before you flash that in Odin, uncheck re-partition. It might say that it failed. If it does, disconnect the phone, put the battery back in and power it up. If it works, and it should, you're golden. Hope this helped

I had the same scenario w/ my Showcase. I did everything "correctly", and I never could get GB to load back on there after loading CM7.1. I tried multiple versions of 2.2 through Odin, I constantly got FC's. Then I tried reloading GB, I got stuck in boot loop. I had to send it in to Samsung... under warranty.

what have you done to land up in this flight?
we cannot help if you provide no background. perhaps you can drop by samsung care centre to repair it if you cannot provide details.
Please post every detail so that you will be easier to help (Firmware, CF-ROOT version, all mods/roms/customization) and exactly why you are restoring. What happened?
Also, all else fails, go into download mode and flash a firmware with .pit and start from scratch (i suggest XXKPE). This should make your phone bootable again.
Your phone is never dead unless you cannot go into download mode anymore. And even then, there are ways around it
Please post in the appropriate section, this belongs in General.
I thought, this is not general issue. Updated first post
Try this:
1. Re-Download XXKPE and make sure the download is good. A bad FW is un-flashable.
2. flash the .pit file, take out battery, go into download mode and flash the pit file again (do 3X). This is to make sure partitions are good.
3. Then flash everything else for XXKPE (4 files), don't select the pit file at this step.
Tell us if it boots.
If you cant go into download mode, read this thread.
maybe you just could try to apply the rom that you was using before flashing KPE, that helps me sometimes when i has bootloops and that stuff.
hope it helps
I am sorry, but that didn't work. I have this phone only, no other option

is there any odin which can help as it did for user on this thread
I dont know if anyone has made a custom .PIT file for our device like the thread you posted. I dont think we have that for our device yet.
Try this:
1. Flash .PIT then KPE (ignore error after reboot)
2. Flash KPQ (ignore any errors)
3. Flash uc kernel (ignore any errors)
4. Try to go into CWM and format all partitions (mounts and storage)
5. Factory reset
6. Flash .PIT and KPE again (see if error is gone)
Also this:
1. Flash .PIT then KPE (ignore error after reboot)
2. Try to go to Recovery
3. Factory Reset
4. Flash .PIT then KPE (see if error is gone)
post result of all steps
If still no fix, flash .pit (dont do anything else) then go to samsung service center. Just act stupid, dont say you were flashing anything. Just say you were using normally then the phone stopped working

Please find the comments in the quote.
just a guess, but try flashing cwm just after pit to enable recovery in the second set of steps. once again, just a guess, never tried it myself...
my reasoning is that after flashing pit, nothing works except download mode since the partitions have been reset and some (or all) data has been wiped as part of the process, hence the reason it doesn't even reset after odin reboots the phone and just goes to a black, backlit screen

i agree with supergaijin.
Try:
1. Falsh .PIT
2. Flash CWM
3. Try to go to CWM
4. Format all partitions
5. Then try KPE
Another:
Find the original Froyo ROM of your phone and flash it. (should have .pit as well)
Also, try to be more descriptive of what step you are in. Tell us how you try it.. then describe what happens at the state of the error. Its hard to imagine what is happening with your phone with 1 sentence descriptions.

Unable To Mount SD Card via TWRP

I have had my Nexus S 4g rooted for sometime and have flashed many roms, so I'm not a complete nooby... but for some reason I'm stumped right now.
I woke up this morning to my phone in the TWRP recovery thing and I just tried to restart my phone but it wouldn't boot up so I figured I would just restore to a previous ROM and all of my backups were just gone. This is the error I have: error opening /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/randomcharacters
But that was way at the bottom, above it I see all these notifications saying that nothing is mounting... so I go and wipe all my stuff to try to re-install the ROM I already had because it had been working very nice and it was just gone. Couldn't find it at all so I figure ok... let's just mount it and put the ROM on my phone... but when I try that my computer tells me that I need to insert a disk into the removable disc.
So right now I really have no clue what to do and I can't use the one click stock since I can't get to my phone to turn on USB debugging.
Any help?
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I was unable to find anything similar.
And I have tried unrooting using this site:
nexusshacks. com/nexus-s-4g-hacks/how-to-unroot-nexus-s-4g/
However, it doesn't work after "fastboot flash system system.img"
And when I go look at the log thing in TWRP I get this:
*Verifying filesystems...
*Verifying partition sizes...
E: Unable to mount /system
(x20 with different things!)
E:failed to mount /sdcard (No such file or directory)
Gah! Have no idea how this happened!!

Can you go into fastboot? I would try to fastboot flash recovery, flash CWM and start from there. If it still wouldn't work i would presume that either your NAND went bad or that somehow the partitions got screwed... I do remember something similar happening to me on my wife's SGS and the solution was a Odin flash of a stock ROM to restore the partitions.

I can go into fastboot! That is the mode I'm in.
I am currently trying to unroot my device using the unroot guide from nexusshacks. com but I get a forever hang time when it is writing my system.
So I just flashed CWM but I am no sure what to do from here! I tried mounting sd card and usb but neither worked. However, I did see an option to format my sd card. Should I do that directly from CWM? And in the advanced menu I see an option to partition my sd card.
At this point I just want to have my phone back in working condition.
You can try to format the SD card, but i think it won't work... If it doesn't work try to search for Odin and the files to restore to stock ROM, maybe it can fix the partitions... The SD card partition option in CWM i never used, so i'm not sure what it does in this case.
So I tried the Odin and I'm still stuck in the writing system stage... I have no idea what to do at this point.

Seems your NAND reach its end. There's allot of topics regarding that problem with the Nexus S and every single one of them ended up with the OP sending the phone to Samsung or getting a new phone...

[Q] CWM Recovery Solution need help!

Firstly I hope this is the right subforum for this post.
So I am pretty much stuck with a brick atm( can make calls / texts ) and I am not sure where I went wrong.
I went and unlocked my phone, unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM.
But when I went to flash a ROM and Gapps I encountered a problem
When I went to go and wipe data and cache I got these errors.
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I still proceeded to go ahead and try and flash Gapps and Liquidsmooth ROM.
When I selected to reboot after the flash my phone did nothing.
The screen was black and I was forced to reboot with Volume up/ Power.
Now I have found a thread in a sub forum of another phone but was hoping to find a Razr HD XT925 specific fix,
I will link the forums for reference but I am worried I may have bricked my phone.
When I do get it to boot it is practically the stock ROM but no Gapps, some buttons dont work.
reference links :

I hope someone can help me fix this issue
Thankyou in advance.
EDIT: I also cant get my phone to recognise that it is in fact in USB debugging mode and I wasn't able to re run the Motopocalypse and Motochopper

Is my Nexus 5's storage corrupted?

Before this happened I was running CM11 on my Nexus just fine for a few weeks or so. It randomly rebooted, and then got stuck in a boot loop. Now, here's what's weird. When I booted into CWM, the only partitions I could mount were /system & /firmware. /data, /cache, & /persist all just give "Error mounting /partition!". Here's what I also get when navigating through CWM:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
When I format the /cache partition it works just fine, but I still can't mount it and the issues above continue. When I try to wipe data/factory reset it just gives me an error mounting /data and skips it, along with /sdcard. This also means I can't install a zip from the device. I tried sideloading the stock ROM onto the device but it just prints this:
symlink: some symlinks failed
E:Error in /tmp/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Anyone who could point me in the right direction would be much appreciated. Flashing anything with fastboot doesn't seem to change anything either, by the way (including trying to change to TWRP) Thanks again.

I take it you've tried to flash the factory image with fastboot? Do you get anything if you type fastboot devices?

I have indeed tried to flash the factory image. And the device status shows up in fastboot when I do fastboot devices.

I've had the same issue while using recovery mode with certain toms and I was also worried at first. It usually happens after a bootloop.
Try this:
1) If your device gets stuck during boots and it seems like its taking forever and just wont get past the boot phase then do this: boot up again and just wait for a while. Be more patient than last time let the process go on for five or so minutes THEN do a hard power off (gold down power button until it turns off). Then turn back on while holding volume to boot into recover. Now check to see if your partitions are back (THIS IS WHAT WORKED FIR ME). If still gone, try again but this time instead of waiting a while do the hard power off sooner in the boot process, maybe about 30s to a minute in or at about the time when it usually would have completed booting back when it was working. Boot back to recovery, check for partitions. If still not there repeat the steps a few more time doing the hard power off at different intervals (first try doing it almost immediately, then try waiting even longer than before, then try after 15s, ext...). My experience has been if u do the hard power off at the right point of timing during the bootloop you will have shut it off either before or after (not sure which) the point during the booting process where it is screwing up and making your partitions look like they are gone. They really are not and your data should still be there in SD area if u didn't delete it, cwm just isn't seeing the partition because of some error during boot process.
OR
2) If it continually resets try to time it then doing a hard power off (hold power button several seconds until your device shuts off) at the latest possible moment before when it normally resets. Then turn your device back on holding volume buttons to get to recovery mode and see if the partitions are back. If not, try a couple more times.
Anyway that's what worked for me. At first I was pissed and thought my data was gone to and I was gonna have to do full unbrick process but nope, after shutting off at the right point during the bootloop or indefinite boot process I found that when I went back into recovery mode cwm could see my partitions and all my data and all I had to do was reinstall a different kernel I had in the SD area of my memory and next time it booted right up. If installing or reinstalling a different kernel (one that worked before for u) doesn't fix it or isn't possible just while and reinstall any ROM or backup IMG u got stored in memory and install that then next boot will hopefully work fine.
If none of those steps restored your partitions or fixed it back so cwm or teamwin could see them then u will prolly have to USB to computer and go through unbrick process.
Hope this helps

Depending on what u did it may be too late to try my suggestion I gave above but if u are still getting a bootloop and haven't figured it out yet then trying my above suggestion it is still worth a shot.

Thanks a ton for the help, but I'm afraid its too late. I've formatted the system & data partitions already. What's weird however is when I turn it on normally it still shows the CM splash screen.

Alright, I tried wiretaps suggestion but still nothing. I'm unable to mount anything except for system and firmware. Any other suggestions?

I've tried flashing TWRP, it sends and writes without an error. But when I boot into recovery CWM is still there :/
well if you've given up on recovering your partitions...
and all you want is to get your device working again you can always just follow the unbrick instructions. There us a guide posted on thus site somewhere I'm sure about how to do it using the android SDK but if you aren't very savvy with command line utilities there is an all in one program for windows with a darn good GUI (graphical interface) that works pretty damn well and will automate all the steps you need to return your Nexus 5 back to the way it came.
The software is called Nexus Root Toolkit and you can find it on Google or download it from this link: won't let me post just search for nexus root toolkit download on google
I have used it several times on my Nexus 4 and two different Nexus 5s without any problems or errors. Just install the application on a windows machine and follow instructions. Connect your device via USB and open it up. First it will either prompt u to download some files you will definitely need for it to work or it will ask you what device you are connecting then download all the necessary files. The windows drivers, factory images, android SDK ext. Everything u need, its completely automated all you gotta do is click yes read the instructions and follow the prompts.
Most people who download it do so because its an easy way to go through all the steps to unlock and root your nexus but it also has tons of other options including an option to completely "unbrick" your phone and return it to factory warranty condition just like the way it came. You will have to allow it to download the factory images for boot loader and the original OS but just follow the prompts it really is quite easy even for a newbie who is uninitiated with android development.
You might not need to do the full unroot relock process but if u just want to return the phone to factory condition then go for it. After you finish you can use the same app to unlockbit again and reroot it.
I'm sure there are plenty of Android developer SDK purists around here who would scoff at the idea of using the automated toolkit and say you should learn how to do it all by hand withe SDK command line way but u think that is over your head go on and use the toolkit there is no shame in it and it seems to work very well. I never encountered any problems with it.
1. DO NOT USE A TOOLKIT (as mentioned above)
2. Follow the factory reset thread to flash the factory image (you could try to leave out the userdata.img if you don't wanna lose your data)
3. Once confirmed working again, flash a recovery and a new ROM (and be careful in future )

+1.
And just to be picky, below the 3d link for factory reset:

P.S. new to XDA, hi @ all
I've done it both ways. With the toolkit and without. Both ways worked fine. I really don't get all this anti-toolkit sentiment around here. Not everybody is as savvy at using SDKs and coomand line as many of you may be. For some people where the whole SDK command line instructions are truly over their abilities I see no reason why they shouldn't at least have the toolkit to use as a backup option.

How can one command be over anyone's abilities. Fastboot flash will cover 90% of anything you need to do.

try to lock bootloader with fastboot, then reboot-bootloader and see if it still unlocked.
if yes so there is a hardware problem.... nothing will stick

You might be surprised. There are a lot of younguns out there who have never so much as even seen a command line. I'm sure your response will be that they have no business rooting or installing Roms on their phones in the first place but such is the way of the world.

I had the same problem, and couldn't find a solution. No partitions could mount, couldn't write to them, flashing and erasing recovery didn't do anything as it'd still boot to the one I had before, and to top it off fastboot OEM lock wouldn't stick. I had to rma it, and hope that whoever gets it is extremely tired from a long day and just passes it through without any checks.
