After gaining infamy on my incorrect tegra drivers post and gaining a few more haters, I promised I was working with developers of a certain flashing app to get support for the g2x. I ran my article on Sunday at ACSyndicate.net and because of the the great press, I have been testing the new version with support for g2x. As of now, everything works but the main function. Not bad for one night of coding and testing. I would say, barring major calamity this app will be functioning in couple days. I am waiting now for my next test app. As soon as it is ready I will let everyone know. Maybe then, I can get some of the hating off the forums. *****ing and complaining will get you nothing, but with support and a little positive participation, I got what I and many others wanted. I also gained some really cool friends. So, have at it, I'm sure I did something wrong again.

I see you have figured out what app I'm working on. So..... To finish it up and get it fully functional we need to know the path to mount the TRUE EXTERNAL sd card. Devs, we need you on this one, the guys at init 2 winit know their sh!t, just not the partitions of every device out there. So, if we want boot manager, these guys need to know how mount the EXTERNAL SDCARD. Right now, its trying to boot from internal sdcard. Just in case some of you don't understand the big deal with this app, let me explain..... You know how we use cwm whenever we want to flash a new rom or update..... Long, drawn out process that wipes all our hard work. With Boot Manager, you have a booted "phone rom" then you flash how many other roms you want to the slots. That's not the cool part, once you have all your roms installed, you can literally go in the app, while BOOTED AND UNWIPED and select another rom and it will instantly boot that rom. All the while, synching SMS, contacts, etc. So there, is that not the baddest app? Touch what? With this, bye bye recovery! I hope someone will have this answer, I'll keep checking back here. I can get this working in minutes with that answer. We won't have to wait for weeks. I personally am the only one doing the testing, I tell them what is broken.... 10 minutes later I have another version to try. This one is in our hands! Yeah if they are building a recovery for the device they will probably know what were looking for. My brother is using my g2x right now but you can probably download this app. Go to system tab, scroll down and click mounts. It will list them all. The app is called android system info.

When i try to install app from market or sdcard to internal memory, after reboot the apps are gone.

I agree with that... team acid roms are nice
I've run through all of Team Revoutions posts, on other forums as well, and it seems to me that he doesn't offer Any support. He either doesn't know how, doesn't know what he's doing or just couldn't be bothered. I'd beware of flashing any of his roms. Just my humble opinion.

I second that. It does seem that he just grabs another devs work adds some "secret" tweaks and VERY proudly claims it as his own. Also seems that he used to go by fawkz and got into some heat under that name as well. Best bet would be to just leave his work alone. But this is also my opinion.

You'll have to fill in your own tweaks before you can flash it. Very custom. No two should be alike and because you tweak it yourself your all the support you'll need!

I thought we might have had another dev too...
I tried to send "amy" a donation twice for helping me with bricks, Odin and mods. Both times "amy" refused to take my money. She had me donate it to our Devs. I'm not defending "her" just sharing MY experience with "her" regarding donations.

I was playing with it a little bit earlier. Couldn't get it to even flash. I didn't look into it much though. I was going to try flashing it and then Hellraiser just for fun to see if it would work.

ICS thoughts
I am really hoping that ICS will get ported to the Infuse, I have been running an alpha on my Inspire for the last 2 days and I really like the direction it takes Android. It will look better on the slightly bigger better Infuse screen and faster proc.

The kernels are veeeery different though (2.6.35 for GB, 3.x for ICS unless I'm mistaken) so I'm not too sure what we can do unless someone compiles one from source...........

Sorry for the delay in getting something out. Due to a specific bug and general lack of power on my main system, I've decided to set up a MONSTER build system that should build ICS in no time. The issue is, it's not wanting to install Ubuntu 64 bit. With Ubuntu 32 bit it will only show up as 8 CPUs and 2 GB of RAM (though that should be more, it's still a very small fraction of what it has). I've been trying all day to get it to install and it's been fighting me every step of the way from EFI issues to SATA III issues. Once I get it up and running I should be able to get some builds going. Stay patient!
Well, if it helps any, I've got a Fedora 15 box I do my builds on. I've got a ssh port open for it. You're welcome to use that for the time being if you'd like. It's a little older, but it builds nicely (Dual 3.2GHz Xeon, 12GB RAM).

You guys could use that to start, just a problem is since it is related to Cyanogen mod maybe linux is a guy to contact, he will not answer my pms idk he may be gone.

Linux bozo could (wont answer, prob not happenin) bedwa maybe could (I think he is amature, doesn't know all tricks) ummm entropy ( loves gs2, may do it but doesn't like developing on infuse as much). That's really our only options right now. We can try em all, but def no garuntees.
Haven't messed with kernel development much at all...idk ...I think our development are cooking one up for us tho...I have faith...

The mission Once TeamAcid Reaches major milestone I plan on Finding a Sgs4g Flashing there milestone rom to it.. Install a 32 gb sd card to it and let it float to 107 Km into the upper atmosphere. At that point it will Pop do to the lack of air at that where the package will para shoot back down to earth. Using Gps location will track down package and recover said sgs4g at that time video will be made and posted...
In case of alien abduction all Team-acid names + white-hawk and Krylons name will be also loaded inside

As far as FFA clearance goes yes u actually do lol. Its easy to get for science projects lol.
Looking over the Flight path IF i start in northren cali where i live it should land somewhere near so cal lol.
Yeah if I'm getting it back no problem. If it ends up burning in the atmosphere I'll file an insurance claim lol. I use my tablet for almost everything now. Only using my phone for texts really and I can do that through Google voice. So just say when you're ready

alrighty got it its installed on the device im going to use for gps tracking.
Found a chest to use for it already cut down the lip of the chest so it can be sealed airtight. Cut 2 holes in it and wired and threaded the harness Added the weights to stabilize the payload. Its a very simple build tbh. Payload is going to be about 5.5 pounds
Also adding a Casio Camera to this that records in HD format so i can get some other angles.
and as far as helping goes. If we can accurttly project enough where it should land if theres anyone else that lives in california that would love to come help even if its for recovering it when done that wold be great .

you should get a new motherboard maybe try getting one from ASUS that has the same pci's and other things so its compatible with whatever you have i cant develop because my laptop is too slow and i cant upgrade cause im low on mulla gah this wait is killing me :fingers-crossed:

According to ProTekk, I think he's part of the AOKP team, you should be good, here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1485861 he says minimum dual-core with 4Gbs of RAM.
I have a spare computer with intel core2 duo and 4Gbs of RAM and it compiles from source with no problem. I have noticed that it's slower without my SSD though. You'll probably need at least 120Gbs of hard drive disk space as I was having a lot of trouble with 64Gbs (in Ubuntu that is)
