I recently changed from Vodafone to 3 and when I turn the phone on it still comes up with all the vodafone stuff like boot logo etc...
If I flash the 3 rom to my phone will it change it? And I'm rooted so will it un-root my phone? And will it come with all the internet settings etc?
Thanks In Advance

I restored my back up of honeycomb which is where im at now
Im in australia and baught it on a optus 3g plan. Build is h.6.5-17-1 (does not appear on motorola website)
I need to get rid of cwm recovery and replace it with the original boot loader and also lock the device but keep the current build.
Im very new to this and have no idea what im doing, help would be appreciated, please reply as if i was a 5 year old.
Thx
Check the stock files stickied at the top of the General section. You are likely to find what you're looking for there. Those stock image files are usually earlier builds...if you flash the correct one for your device you should be able to update OTA to the build that you had originally. Just make sure that it is the correct one for your device.
If you rooted, you should be able to restore.
thanks. I flashed the Telstra files and it all works, but the problem is im with Optus ( a difgerent Telco) I cant find those roms anywhere.
When I flashed the telstra 3g rom it places the carriers app, and changes settings and bookmarks etc for the carrier.
I need an optus 3g rom to flash, i dont care what version as long as can run ota to bring it up to 3.2 (which is what i purchased it as stock standarD)

Hello everyone
I'm very new here so if this is not a good place for this question pls let me know. I need help. I have htc one, it's from Croatian telco provider Vip , but when I check the version, it says it's m7wls (sprint version, which is crazy as it's a us network and this phone was bought in croatia). If I check imei it's ok and the same as in Croatian provider's warranty. Hboot is 1.44, it has an unlocked bootloader, but it is rebooting all the time and it says under htc logo "build for development purposes only...) I can go to bootloader, can only put twrp that is for m7wls, not international version, and I can put cwm any version. When I adb push or sideload any custom rom (I tried many) it either says corrupt file, or when I try to install android revolution hd 31.6 it seems as if it installed, but then when it goes back to recovery, and i try to reboot, phone says it has no root access and if I want to install it. I have tried couple of times to install superSU through recovery, so it shouldn't be an issue. When it reboots then it goes straight to bootloader, like i havent installed new rom at all, and there is no more recovery, I have to flash it again. I tried viper rom, cyanogenmod two versions, tried both installing international and sprint version install of ARHD 31.6 and in the end the only rom that booted (not really) was bad boyz rom for sprint, which came to lock screen of the phone, but when I swipe to unlock it is shows white screen with htc logo. very weird. I can use volume controls, screen on/off and on long press it shows options to restart, reset etc. But it just doesn't work. Also it seems it doesnt recognize the sim card.
I think it is not really sprint version, it is impossible, it must have been some mistake. I bought the phone from a guy for 240 eur, which was cheap, and the phone is not even used, just at home, it has a month old warranty. So it's a good buy, but I gotta make it work now. This guy says he has tried to update it (official update) and it just started rebooting and didnt work any more. Then he gave it to some friend who apparently has a workshop for repairs of cell phones, but he had a phone for 2 weeks and said he didnt have time to work on it. But it seems like someone played with it.
Is it possible that it says that its m7wls version when it really isnt? Maybe that guy installed a kernel or a firmware or sth that changes this? Is it possible? Any help would be appreciated.
All the best,
Domagoj
Hi,
I've got a phone with a simlock (orange), and I'd like to flash it with official rom from the samsung's stock (Samsung Alpha). I've heard that it should not be done with a phone which is simlocked.
Does is true? if I flash such phone it'll stop working (no network connection or something)?

It's never stopped me before, I flashed a locked Moto G with a custom ROM and it worked. Other Samsung phones have worked when flashed whilst being locked such as the S2 as seen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/flash-rom-carrier-locked-phone-t2389245
So no I doubt it's true and I'm sure you can flash a locked phone and it will continue to work

Guys, I need your help I bought a second hand LG G Pro 2 (F350S) it came with custom rom. I decided to restore it to stock and apparently I got greeted that the phone was reported stolen and in locked mode. Is there a way to bypass this and enable adb debug and install a custom rom so I can restore back it to using custom rom. By the way, I am from the Philippines so returning this to the original owner or contacting SK Telecom is out of the question. I already sent an email to SKT if they can remove it from the black listings.

Nevermind I was able to bring it to the repair shop and have it bypass the cry face error, only if Tungkick was able to update a very useful tool to support this model.
