hey all,
there is a new app on the market called WorldWide Flix which allows you to see Netflix video all over the world.
it gets a list of quality proxy server from the US and sets it to your device.
if the server is not fast enough you can simply go to the next one.
the application has a rating mechanism that lets you rate the server so that the bad servers go to the bottom of the results list.
it fits every android device with OS version of 2.1 and above.
Enjoy!

Because this app doesn't require monthly fee as all VPN service does... only 1$ for downloading and that's it...
You can also use it for other services like Hulu..
hi
Hi,
Is it possible to use this program for more us-only services like Pandora / hulu etc..?
Thanks
Yes you can try it with Pandora last.fm and hulu which are reported to work also...
try it yourself

This could be very useful on a number of levels. Most notably, NBA League Pass so you can watch games that are blacked out in your area.
Here's how they hacked the League Pass app on the iPhone.
http://www.coderetard.com/2010/01/19/how-to-remove-nba-league-pass-restrictions-on-iphone/
I would be down for a similar hack of the app, or a different app that would fake your GPS location. I have the League Pass APK for those interested.
Certainly possible, android has support for "mock locations". You can find it in the development settings under settings->applications
There is some info here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/location/index.html
I looked on a rooted G1 and the "geo" program isn't included. Might be as easy as copying it from an emulator to a rooted phone, i'm not sure.
An actual android app might also be able to do it using the permissions
ACCESS_LOCATION_EXTRA_COMMANDS and ACCESS_MOCK_LOCATION.
It is possible to get the name of the location provider when requesting a provider, however, so the app might have taken this trick into account and only allow it to use the true network location provider.
I'm also really interested in this
This would be great, I was about to try to access through the terminal on the phone and try the android.location method, still a little confusing but it just kills the use of the mobile app.
The whole point of the mobile NBA app is so you can view your local team because you are not by a t.v.. Especially my Lakers.
I would also be interested in something like this for the NBA league pass too...
GO CAVS! hahh...
This would be awesome for the android. I can never watch the games because there always blackout in cleveland. GO CAVS!1
Coded this in a few minutes, let me know if it works (I tried to open Maps and it said I was in L.A. )
You have to enable mock locations in Settings -> Development.
It seems to work, thank you very much!!
If you have a Paypal account, I'll happily donate so you can have a couple of beers
Now, does anybody if is there a NBA League Pass application I can buy to watch the playoff games?
Thanks a lot! I have a donation button on my Android apps website

Done, thank you again.
I guess I'll be also able to use this for TV.com app and several others
By the way, would it be possible to keep a list of locations stored? You know, Alaska to avoid NBA blackouts, London to get some English content...
Thank you in advance.
Is this working? I'm trying to watch the Laker game right now. I put in the coordinates and set the location. It seems to be spoofing Maps but League pass is telling me to make sure my location service is on and turn off airplane mode.
Damn, i was hopeful. But pandora still knows I'm not in the US.
Here I am
First of all, I published the app on the Market, so if you want to stay updated download it here.
@reycat: Good idea, I'm gonna add a list of the last locations used.
@CaliLove310: I'm not from the US, could you enlighten me on the blackout rules for playoff games? I read somewhere that they are broadcasted on national TV, so they aren't available on League Pass in any part of the States.
@liam.lah: I installed Pandora, it seems to know your location even if you disable both wireless networks and GPS. I suppose it uses the IP address for geolocation, so you'll need a US proxy to make it work...
Thank you very much, ajejee.
Just updated to the market version, I really like choosing the location in the map, much easier than remembering latitudes and longitudes
By the way, we cannot try NBA League Pass now because of the playoffs, but... can anybody give TV.com app a try? It force closes in my Nexus One every time, but maybe somebody else can try it and check if he/she can watch US TV shows
"Last locations" option added, there should be an update on the Market
Ajejee. Thanks for this app .
Im wondering if there is a reason gps spoofing works but why wifi wont load the videos on nhl and nba apps? The videos load good with 3g connection though.
Stock droid x unrooted.
Thanks for your response.
You can use location spoofer on the market works with center ice

i'm using the one from the market. it works great with 3g but not with wifi. I get the message "this video cannot be played"
I set the time to spoof for like 5 mins and then load the app when the game starts. Set the spoofed for like Australia or something. Mine works on both wifi and 3g.

Based on one of the comments, and the fact that it's new on the market, as well as the comments mostly being uninformative, I don't know if I trust this app yet...
Edit: I also don't like that it has permission to access GPS and network-based location.

yes those permissions are there , it was meant for ad targeting .
Also there is a negative comment , but there is explanation for that comment in the app description itself . you can verify it yourself by using some other browser and doing the same .
Our server(s) acts only as re-routers and we never see the content of page that you are browsing .

Are there logs kept of the redirections?
What about the security used, is there any encryption used?
What server software is used on your servers? Squid? Privoxy? Other?
couldn't you just install orbot or use proxies in your current browser instead?
What advantage does this have over tor?
Thanks

I am trying from sometime to get access to U.S. channels like hulu , netflixs etc. I live in Canada and our cable/ mobile services does not allow to get access either of it. Read some comments on different blogs, people suggest many way outs but I shortlisted two options (i) One is to use unblock-us service , which is a paid option and I hadnt read any good feedbacks so far (ii) to opt for unotelly unodns vpn for access. Need advice....please suggest if there is any other better option...

Orbot could be your solution... its an Android app that will allow you to connect to the TOR Network, if you have not heard of the TOR Network then basically its a very secure and safe anonymous proxy/vpn network that assigns you a generic IP address which as default is randomly assigned but it can be configured to have pre defined entry and exit nodes meaning you can have your normal entry node in Canada and set your exit node in the US.
I use it often to access services normally reserved for people in the US and use services such as Google Music and On live Desktop from the UK.
Hope this helps....

I'm pretty new to the world of Android and was wondering what are some "best"/"good" apps to hide your identity online? I've looked at the Google Play Store for Tor related apps but unsure if they're actually secure and reliable? What do you guys use for security/anonymity?
I use Spotflux and Hotspot Shield and I find that both are pretty good.
Have you ever tried disconnect me? Or just activate private mode in Firefox
There are two main Tor apps on the play store: Orbot and Orxy. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. I've used both, and both work well.

Private mode in Firefox does not make you anonymous.
Using normal VPNs doesn't make you anonymous either. The VPN provider has all your details.
Remember, just using Tor will not make you fully anonymous. The torproject.org website has details, and the Orxy app store page has some tips.

IS it really that easy to steal ID from your phone?
The OP wants to browse the web anonymously and such services are helpful for that.
Its not to prevent your ID from getting 'stolen' but more to make sure you are not being tracked, access sites that may be blocked on your corporate network or country, etc. Ofcourse there are countless other uses as well.
Ill give you one small example - if you want to access a job portal from your work computer without being worried your company can see you are looking for a new job, you can use a VPN to sort of 'mask' the internet traffic.
Or if you live in a country where YouTube is blocked and you want to access it...
Hello all,
I have a rooted OnePlus 8 Pro running Magisk 21.0 (21000), and using Magisk Manager 8.0.2 (307)(11). My OS build is Oxygen OS 10.5.13.IN11AA(enhanced by xXx_NoLimits_ 12.3). I have no idea if any of that info even matters for my question, but I figured it couldn't hurt to share.
Now, I am mostly pleased with my OP8P as daily driver for about a month. However, there is one small thing that I can't seem to get working right. I would like to be able to use my Google Assistant to play my music library via the typical voice commands and such. My music streaming service of choice is an app by the name of AWA, and is confirmed on their website to be compatible with Google Assistant. However I can't for the life of me get it to show up in Google Assistant's music services list. It just shows the standard options(YT Music, Pandora, Deezer, and Spotify). It also lists what I assume to be a general information list option, as tapping it does nothing, entitled "Other music services" [See Pic]. It's almost as if Google Assistant doesn't recognize that AWA is even present on my phone.
Am I doing something wrong or missing some critical info?
Thanks for any help offered!

Hi,
I think the problem is your region. For example, I can't have Pandora to show up as it's not available in France. (Se the pic attached). You may use AWA (which seems to be Japanese) in your region but it doesn't mean that the app was meant to work in your region. Try with a VPN and see if that does it.

Thank you for responding,
I was afraid of someone suggesting that. I was really hoping it wasn't because it would require me to go VPN shopping, which I absolutely dread lol. It takes me a heck of a lot of time to reach a purchase decision on that type of stuff as I tend to practice extreme discretion when it comes to VPN service providers. Anywho, I'll try it out if and when I get a VPN subscription.

Try with a free one first, to check if it solves the problem. And if you want to choose a vpn take your time to read each of their privacy policy.
Good luck

Yeah in my opinion, even paid VPNs like NordVPN or stuff like that aren't a good idea. Unless you want to unlock region specific content, I won't advice you to do that. Most of the time people use them for privacy, but honestly my ISP is more trustworthy that one random enterprise. I use a VPN for when I'm connected to a public network, for example in a library, and my VPN is a raspberry pi that I configured myself with wireguard. I can't spoof location, nor hide internet traffic to my ISP with that, but for security on a public network it's perfect.
Hope you'll eventually find a solution.
Have a good day
