If somebody has a copy of the stock AT&T boot animation for the Skyrocket, could you please upload it somewhere and post a link to it for me? I tried searching for it first. So if it's already been discussed, I apologize.

If you have a backup of your stock image pull it from that

That's exactly what I would do... if I still had my Skyrocket. However, I replaced my Skyrocket with a Galaxy Note. What I'd like to do is "brand" my Note with all the AT&T stuff. I know that sounds counterintuitive, but I'm trying to put together a complete AT&T branded NAND backup with which to restore the phone when I sell it. I already know Skyrocket boot animations will work on the Note. I just need the AT&T one.

Anyone? Please? I really need this!!

Can somebody please post a link to the default AT&T boot animation? I no longer have access to my Skyrocket or it's NANDroid backups. I really need the default AT&T boot animation for a project I'm working on.

Could you grab it from the "return to stock ROM" that is posted in the "DEV" section? It should be in there along with everything else you might need.
...or Seanz SkyIceCream ROM post lists several boot animation zips. One of them is the "original Galaxy S2". I'm not sure if it is the same as the stock SkyRocket or not. And make sure if you use one of them you give Sean Z some consideration for his efforts. I'm also not sure if the Boot Animations listed on that page only work with the Sky Ice Cream ROM or if they work stand-alone. You should probably PM Sean Z either way to make sure it is OK to use it.
Thank you! I appreciate that. However, I was able to get a friend to send me the boot animation from a stock i727 ROM. To clear things up, the Skyrocket is a heavily branded device and uses an AT&T boot animation. If somebody would like to see the stock Skyrocket boot animation posted, please just let me know and I'll send it to you to post. I can't upload or post URLs, or else I would do it myself.

My friend just got the Atrix 2 today and I rooted the phone for him. He has asked me what the best ROM is for his phone.
I honestly dont see many roms on here besides the roms posted but do not know how to recommend the most responsive stable rom to him without reaching out to the community on XDA. I dont have the phone so I am trusting you all for advice.
My buddy has the LIBERTY v3 Gold ROM and my friend loves this ROM but I see it is not available for his phone as of yet. Is there a ROM similar to the Liberty where you can change the boot animation easily?
My friend is looking for something he can use and flash roms all the time from his SD card.
Can you all help me help him? Lay all your favorite ROMS on this thread and tell me what you like about your ROM so much that you keep this as your main ROM.
Thanks
With root you can easily change the boot animation without having to flash any ROMs.
Come back in a week or two and there will (hopefully) be an array of fairly stable ROMs to choose from. All of the ROMs available atm are still in early development stages.
With his phone being rooted how do you change the boot animations?
I only know how to do this in liberty.

Use something like ES File Explorer and go into system/media. Take your stock bootanimation.zip and replace it with any bootanimation.zip you like. Just remember to keep your stock one for backup incase you want it back.
PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP. THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO COMPLETELY FREEZE YOUR PHONE. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU USE THESE FILES AND YOU MISS YOUR NEXT MEETING.
I was playing around and after reading and searching through some threads, finally got somewhere with something I've wanted since my iPhone days - Screen rotation animations.
Attached are 2 files you can unzip, then copy and paste into /system/lib/ using root explorer.
This will make your screen animate when it auto rotates.
BEWARE. I have had limited success with Home Launchers that can rotate. The phone completely locks up and you have to restore from a backup.. if anyone can help figure this out i'd greatly appreciate it.
I'm looking for a few brave testers to let me know if it works with the ROM of their choice. I have not tested it on stock yet, it may work perfectly. Who knows.
Hmm....what kind of animations are they? Can't imagine other than just the stock flop when u rotate ur phone.

That's what this is...these files are taken directly from the at&t note, and on my phone running nexusMod 4, the screen rotates just like the note does.
hmmm....mine does not..still more like a flash...but opening my web browser seems smooth...rotations no different...pasted in /system/lib..then fixed permissions..?

Is this the same mod as this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362354 ?
I tried the files from that thread and I soft bricked my phone.

I'm on NexusM0D 4 as well, but it soft bricked my phone. I tried using Root Explorer as well as an ADB push and neither worked. Had to push the original files back to phone via ADB since phone boot looped at the Samsung logo
I had the brilliant idea of replacing the files when the phone was still running...
I'm an idiot.

I tried it again... and yup. Soft brick.
My kernel hangs, and in logcat, I get the message "Waiting for service AtCmdFwd"
AtCmdFwd is a Galaxy Note only service. So looks like this is going to be a little more difficult than you thought.
Are you running nexusmod aosp or att?

Hey guys, I'm on a Rogers i896 using i897 boot loaders and I get weird images on the first boot screen before the kernel image & boot image appears. They look like static/distorted images (best description sorry). This first happened when I decided to load ATT GB back when that leaked before rogers firmware was out. That was corrected when i reverted back obviously. But the steps i followed to install my first ICS rom required i use Odin and flashed some i897 packages with a cwm enabled kernel to proceed any further. Im now an ICS flash addict and I've learned to deal with it as I've searched high and low for a solution without any luck. I know I've seen this issue somewhere else and I hate to create another thread but I would really appreciate any input from some more experienced users. =)

U need to flash (through Odin/Heimdall) the i897 "Gingerbread" Bootloaders.
See TRusselo's Guide that is a Stickied Thread in the Q & A Forum.
He has a link there for the GB Bootloaders.
That will solve the pixelated screen issue.

Edit: Worked great, thanks one more time!
Okay guys, So Some of you remember me as the Guy who built off of 4kornerz roms, I built 4KMods for the evo.
Anyway, I am now doing the Pantech Burst. Thats right. I will be attempting to Port CyanogenMod 7 CM7 for short, to the phone I need a Beta tester as well. Someone who will be able to replace the phone if it bricks, I will also need someone who can help me figure out how to write instructions on how to flash said device AND Flash over a recovery that I will also try to port.
So that being said, to beta test or to help me on this quest, You MUST PM It gets to complicated to respond to some requests through forum.
I will be updating daily. No, I will not make a blog just yet, Well actually that would be a lot easier. http://panburstmod.blogspot.com
That is the new blog, I will post updates there.
And maybe here idk yet. blog is just easier.
But here is your update guys,
I have extracted and also downloaded the kernel from the burst.
Trying to see if maybe a kitchen would be fine to port or manual rebuild, IDK yet.
So, I have the Original Kernel for the Pantech Burst. I am having issues compiling it though, would be easier if some one could pull the following off there phone from fastboot:
zImage
Boot
Recovery
System
Data
I think that is all I need.
Thank you!!
They should be pulled and saved like.... boot.img or something But I do not have the burst yet, so someone needs to do this for me, command like fastboot pull boot I think its how it is done.... Idk this is why i need someone's help guys..
Bump.

any status update? Let me know if you need any files. I have my Burst finally and just rooted it.
Here is the zipped CWM backup of the 2 stock roms that Pantech/AT&T released released
JUUS12052011
JUUS03122012
They both contain Boot, Recovery, System, Data
If you let me know where or how to get the zImage I can get that pulled, too.

Well after being on ios for 2 years its safe to say im new to the rooting scene on android. Regardless i am rooted and am running the latest synergy rom on my vzw gs3. I understand boot animations dont usually work on my device. How could i go about getting them to work. The developer told me it is possible to get them working. Thanks in advance!
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
On stock, it's not exactly a breeze. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1829363
I am using synergy 1.2? Whatever the latest version of the rom is thats what im on.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
Synergy is based on stock and as such is subject to the same restricitions in this case. See the thread I linked.
Oh ok. I'll give you a thanks when i get on my desktop. Idk how to on this app. Also just for future reference are there any roms with non stock kernals? Sorry if my terminology is wrong.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
This phone hasn't had what you might call a normal development cycle. New kernels are just starting to come around since the bootloader just got unlocked. I know of one stock based kernel right now. See here: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/31329-kerneltouchwiz-leankernel-minimalistic-kernel-819-v022/
YOU WILL NEED TO UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER FIRST. There's an app in the market for that.
