How exactly do I install the apk? Download to my SD card then what?

Download any apk installer from the market. I use easy-installer. Make sure you delete any other versions of netflix before you install the modded apk.

I use Astro File Manager (free app). Dolphin browser (also free app) does great with downloads from the web. I then Open Astro, Use Astro's Search feature to search for "apk" or "netflix", then you can install the APK file from there.

Probably a very stupid question, but can't seem to access the thread for NetFlix App.

Okay, I'm quite sure this is an utterly stupid question, but I've dug around in the FAQ's and the general forums and can't see an answer so I'm going to risk being flamed as a noob to ask. When I try loading the link (above) for the Netflix app, I consistently get a message that I do not have permission to access the page, and that new users (with under 10 posts) aren't permitted to POST to the Devel forums.
I'm not trying to post - just to access the thread, and since it says "To encourage this new Users can read but not post in these forums." I assume that I should be able to view the thread. Am I missing something incredibly stupid and obvious, or doing something wrong, or is it just that you're unable to even view anything in the development-related forums until you have more than 10 posts?
Thanks to anyone who is kind enough to reply and open my eyes on this. If you really want to flame me for being a noob feel free, but it won't bother me any. I know my status, and my limits.

The red is fine, that's the version I was looking for anyways. I wouldn't have minded it as much if it were clear that it was part of the noob restrictions, but it seemed like the message was saying two different things so I wasn't sure.

to "Netflix-Rotation-Red-V1.3 (by <my email address>).apk"
by someone named "Raul Carr <[email protected]>"
I assume he hacked it and added a virus or something. I changed it back, added more security to the file and removed him from membership. If you downloaded this 2nd version by mistake, please go back to the original version.

I downloaded Netflix-Rotation-Red-V1.3.apk & it worked fine for me .

[Q] Flash Video on Infuse 4g

Hi Guys,
I'm running Infused v 2.2.3, and Adobe Flash v 11. I'm having trouble playing flash videos in all the browsers including Opera, the page loads but I just see a black screen and no video or audio. I've tried re-installing flash but it didn't work.
Could you please advise? It seems to be playing for all videos under 240p, but nothing above.

i just loaded flash 11, im on Miui....but it seemed to play fine. i even did the hack and got Hulu running it no Prob.

It seems to just be happening with HD flash videos of 360p and higher, but other smaller flash videos run just fine. I think it might be the Infused ROM limitation.
How do you like Miui? I was thinking of flashing that ROM, but not sure if it'll be worth setting everything up again.

Opera does not support flash. At least Opera Mini does not. I have never tried the other one.
I'm on Infused 2.2.3 also, and have no problem getting them to load in Dolphin Browser

so far it has been on my phone the longest....its just a great mesh of everything.
after that would be ofcourse CM7.
but i have had no issues with any video yet..

i could not get that one to play either.

yeah... that video is running on 360p, which I think is why. Other flash objects/videos with lower resolution runs fine. But it's weird because before I rooted my phone, it was able to play on stock ROM.

The viki video plays fine for me. Though I did have to change something to make it work. The problem lies that both MIUI and Infused v 2.3.3 has ad blocking via hosts.
If you use root explorer go into systems/etc/ and change the host file into host.bak then restart your browser and play that video again it will play just fine. Not sure about other videos though. But all the videos that I have tried works

You need to mount r/w, not sure if you can do that on FileExpert though. I've never used it

Success! Was able to mount r/w in FileExpert and renamed the file. Now the video plays no problem.

In FileExpert try menu button (The physical button) -> more -> Settings -> File Explorer Settings -> Turn Root Explorer On. Now it should work. Just double checked it

I'm guessing this would disable the ad blocker completely until you rename it back to host. I have not been able to isolate which host is causing it to block the ads that show up in video. You could always google for a new host file that allows you to watch videos on site like viki.
Personally I don't care if I have to go through a little ads if I can watch my video ^^

Boohoo, the nbc streaming app is not infinity compatible. Anyone find another app to get the live on this tablet. Or have the apk for the nbc app?

Can someone install and do Voice+ Video chat using YAHOO MESSANGER on Infinity....
Seems when I install , the BASE yahoo ( without abiltiy to do video chats ) works ok
then when I try to install the " YAHOO VIDEO ADD_ON" , i get error = " not compatable with this version of hardware and or software"
its weird = as i have a Samsung Note with ICS = and yahoo works well even with video and voice

Awesome app KillerG! Can anyone get the APK for the NBC Live Extra App? That app will have ALL the videos available for streaming video for the Olympics. Over 3500 hours worth when all said and done.
Lastly, anyone getting slow motion audio in the video section?

This is what I did: (jankey I know)
1) Install the app you want on your phone
2) Use ES File Manager (or similar) to back up the application (ES stores it in /sdcard/backups
3) Share that file (Google Drive, gMail, etc)
4) Download and install to your tablet.
Took me under 5 minutes once I figured it out. A lot less time than waiting for the developer to do something about it!

I tried several of the Live Extra apk files, but most of them once installed still said they needed to be updated. Well, once I clicked "update" it went straight to the Play store and said it was not compatible.
I did some searching and found a apk file. I have successfully downloaded, installed and tried the app. It works fine on my Infinity tablet.

Hope I did this right and you can download it from my dropbox folder.

xRevilatioNx, I had issue with sound when I first installed app. I closed the app, went to my task manager and found some "musicfx" running... well, I ended that particular app, musicfx... reopened the live extra app and video and audio were working fine. May work for you as well.

Olympics on TF700 Infinity
I just logged into my Xfinitytv.comcast.com account and went to nbcolympics.com and watch the Olympics. I don't think you need any sort of special application. I've watched various TV shows on my Infinity and other Android apps as well as my wife's iPad and my PC. It just works.

This is exactly what happens to me with every version I try, including pulling the .APK off my galaxy nexus, which works fine on the phone. No matter what I try, I get about five second of video, and the slow motion video and sound. Very frustrating.

When I installed the app on my infinity tablet, it was in slow mo.. at first. But I found an app called musicfx or something like that running in the background. Once I disabled that, the app worked fine. audio and video worked great. Been watching olympics since 4 a.m. this morning.

How do you disable it? I pm'd you for the NBC Live Extra APK. I know everyone heard back from you my friend.

I had this same issue on the Acer A700 the fix is to have the Olympic app running and when it slows down go into the square task manager on the bottom left, select something else and once that loads go back into task manager and select Olympic app and it will be normal speed.
You have to do this whenever you switch channels, a pain but a temporary fix.

Just turned on the app this morning. A "update" popped up and said goto Play store to get newer version. Obviously we can't because it tells us it's not compatible.
Can anyone get the updated APK? I'm hoping the update fixes the video feed.
UPDATE: without the newer version it won't let us in the app! So we definitely need the APK to continue enjoying the app... Ugh

I downloaded it on my tf101 and then pulled the apk

I am certainly not a programmer, but I was able to stumble my way through the code and disable the checks in the newest version of the app (3.6.6.6). It's working on my Fire TV with root and ADB enabled, however I can't test the HDMI, VPN or Proxy checks. Please let me know if you run into any issues and I will do my best to try and fix them.
1. Uninstall any old versions
2. Install/sideload the apk below
3. Enjoy!
I can't guarantee that I will keep this up-to-date or that I will even be able to, if they change the code. But for now, enjoy!

Well, I scanned the file with Virus Total and F-Secure reported a Riskware:Android/PremiumSMS.gen!65232C. I then I scanned the original APK and it was clean, so something happened along the way.
The only programs I used to edit/recompile were apktool and Notepad++ so I have no idea why this is coming back positive on Virus Total. Can anyone with some more experience please PM me about how to remove this or recompile the apk without it? I don't know if I'm getting a false-positive or what.

I removed the file because Virus Total was reporting malware in the signed .apk.
I've gone ahead and resigned it and checked it again with Virus total, it's now clean.

Nice work... I was able to download and install on my Amazon Fire TV stick... but unfortunately it doesn't work with the remote (or the remote app). I guess its touch screen only. Disappointing. Repped for trying tho!

The app does not respond to normal remote commands, since it is natively a touch screen app. Therefore, we have to 'fake' touch commands by using a mouse or similar input.
Options are limited on the Fire TV stick because it does not accept USB input;
A supported bluetooth game controller may work
A bluetooth keyboard / touchpad like this - http://www.amazon.com/QQ-Tech®-Wireless-Bluetooth-Keyboard-Handheld/dp/B00BALK9CM/ref=pd_cp_pc_0 will work, but requires loading a settings.apk file as outlined here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57129257&postcount=20

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to explain or write a guide on what I did. And to be quite honest there was no real methodology to it. I spent a lot of time Googling and searching the forums here to find my way through the code. I mostly used apktool to decomile and recompile the apk, and then played with it in Notepad++ until I got it to work.
The only reason I was able to find the options and edit them was because they were plainly named 'devperfs'. In most apks and even previous version of the TWC apk, the files were just something like a.smali and buried in a series of folders.

I tried this version but still could not watch TWC on 3/4G. Did not try vpn. My S4 is rooted but both Play version and this do not have problems. HDMI works with both versions.

[Q] eBay app not showing pictures. download pictures from chrome doesn't show too

Hi. I am using lollipop 5.0.1 and i am having these 2 small problems
1 ebay app. Pics are not showing. I tried my wife htc one and pics load fine. She is on 4.4.2
2 sometimes when i go to google images from chrome and dowbload pics. It doesnt show in photos. Jist error.

Wife and I are having same issue for about a week now on our S5's. If I go to my browser I see images but not in the app. We are on 4.4.2 not lollipop so there has to be another issue. Funny thing is we see the thumbnail images on front page where it shows recently viewed items but nowhere else. I've cleared our caches, reinstalled, and everything else I can think of along with searching web extensively with no luck.

I had this same issue and manage to fix it, hope is not too late to suggest a solution.
My culprit was Adfree, in the latest updates it added a the ebay images string to the hosts file.
So, if you have adfree or not (maybe similar app or firewall), I'll suggest to download Hosts Editor, look for "i.ebay.images" (or similar address), and delete it.

Just wanted to so say thank you. I was having this issue and found your post. I edited my host file and it worked. Thank you again.

thanks that did the trick
since "i.ebay.images" was not found, it was an other line that had to be deleted.
eventhough I just did I forgot which line I purged....
I think it was i.ebayimg.com

Thanks for this, I was suffering from the same fault albeit on HTC One M8. I had my suspicions it was adfree related but didn't know how to sort it.

if you have ADFREE app installed just opens adfree and press reverse button

Thanks for that. I assume it's adfree which stops the links in my emails from working. Do you have any idea what the name for that host maybe be? It get bit of a pain having to boot up the laptop every time I want to open a link. Links to down loads in the emails don't work at all but I think other links do.

Ok I worked this out. Here is how i fixed it when certain links in emails don't work.
To fix it I clicked on the link in the email. The phone then try to open the link in he browser but fails. In the browser address bar you can see the name of the host. On my case it was clicks.aweder. I found the link name in the host file list and deleted it. Now the link I want to work in the email is working. I found there were lots of hosts with similar names but I only needed to delete the exact match and not any of the rest.
I hope this helps anyone with similar problems. For reference I use adfree on my rooted devuce but I am sure it works for other similar ad blockers.

THANK YOU! I downloaded hosts and deleted ALL Ebay entries and instantly like magic, the app works again. It was driving me nuts for a couple of weeks. I thank you for being a credit to the community. Fantastic job--thanks again!

This worked for me, but I had to remove i.ebayimg.com
