Try to do a factory data reset in recovery, or if you don't mind losing files on SD card then you can do it from Settings > Backup & reset

Its not rooted, gonna wait til it breaks and root it after repair so i dont root it with worn parts. Anyways i got a duplicate youtube app now which cant be uninstalled.

you can backup with this app https://market.android.com/details?...DEsImNvbS5yZXJ3YXJlLmFuZHJvaWQuTXlCYWNrdXAiXQ.. then copy the folder on your sd card it (should be called reware) to your pc then go into settings hit backup and then reset and after that copy folder back to sd then download app again and hit restore

titanium backup

has anyone got this thing to run? I just rooted and every time I open titanium it automatically force closes on me
works for me....does it have SU rights?
yes its got su, I've got busybox to open and setcpu
hmmm...i know i had to reboot to get SU to 'work right' for me...not sure if youve done that or not?
I've rebooted, but I'll try it again
Have you tried downloading the version of Busybox from Titanium itself? Open Titanium and click the "Problems" button to download it. It's been working perfectly fine for me.
I can't even open the app
What is the error you get? I also got it working. Rooted. Rebooted. Installed. Simple as that.

I'm getting the same problem as OP. I'm not sure if it has to do with using a memory card from my G2 with existing Titanium backup info on there.
same problem
The titanium backup file must be on the phone hd and not on the external. TB is working fine for me, I just did a restore of my apps.

Im having the same problem.. Installed Ti backup and every time I launch it, it force closes..
If you guys are coming from a CM7 Nexus One be careful restoring some system settings. After restoring my home button stopped working. Had to HR to fix.

There was just an update that says to add more support for the G2x.

try uninstalling, reboot and then reinstalling
Worked fine for me. I used it to freeze the annoying t-mobile apps.

No, what I was saying was I put everything in TB from my Nexus on my 16gb card. So then when I installed TB again it only showed the current apps on my phone.
i copied over everything from my 16 gb card to the "SD", so basically eveything from the External to the Sd and it still isnt picking it up.
ugh why the hell does lg have to name their **** so crazy
having the same problem here just rooted. I know root works since Root explorer is working fine with no problems. After i load Titanium back it force closes right after it gets SU rights. Goose0121 What back up file are you talking about?

[Q] How to backup before & restore after factory reset HTC Sensation 4G?

I'm thinking to do a factory reset - HTC Sensation 4G T-Mobile since my phone seems to be consuming more battery today.
<The reason was yesterday, I drained the battery until the phone died by itself. Recharged overnight until full this morning. Installed Fandango & Chase app. After that, somehow my phone's battery indicator (Batstat app) showed a fast discharging rate and my screen became unresponsive.>
So my question is, what are the correct steps to perform either before & after factory reset?
Below is my plan, please tell me if I do something wrong or miss some steps.
1. Backup contacts & calendar using HTC Sync
2. Backup apps using 'App Backup & Restore ' app
3. Backup sms using 'SMS Backup & Restore' app
4. Do Factory Reset
5. Restore contacts & calendar by syncing the phone using HTC Sync
6. Reinstall 'App Backup & Restore ' app and restore all apps
7. Reinstall 'SMS Backup & Restore' app and restore all sms
Is this the correct procedure?
The songs, photos & videos are stored safely in SD card, right? or do I need to back them up separately?
Is it true that Factory Reset won't affect the SD card?
Sorry for this noob questions.
Thanks for the help.
I think you pretty much covered it,and your SD card will be fine so all your music and photos will be there, also the sensation will automatically reinstall most if not all your apps once you sign into your gmail, sync and open the Market just wait a few minutes and bam you should be back in business, although if you have any apk's installed from SD you will need to manually reinstall those items.I have tested this when i did a factory data reset and this also worked when I switched out my device for a new one so I know it works.Hope this helps.
Cheers

Do you back up just the apps that came with the phone or the ones you installed as well?

Jst the ones you installed. The preinstalled apps will be installed during the factory reset.

Is it important to backup before a reset?

Just curious. There are lots of talk of backing up data. Is it really needed when doing a complete reset of the phone.
g2x rooted stock
nah, I don't think so, unless you're gonna flash different ROMs. The reason why I did a factory reset is because I backed up all my system data with Titanium backup and no longer had any available space left. So not knowing what to delete, I just did a factory reset and after that still I found the left over traces were still taking up space, so I just reformatted both external and internal memory.

Using an ordinary file manager (don't use root explorer if you want to delete all your files manually cause if you don't know what your doing then you can possibly brick your phone) you could of deleted every single file that you don't need. Android won't allow you to delete important files when using a ordinary file manager so you won't harm your device. I've tried deleting files such as "Android Secure" and all it does is create another Android Secure folder.

No a backup isn't needed, but it is similar to having insurance on a vehicle. Just in case something happens you are covered.

[Q] HELP! Stock gingerbread 2.3.3 rooted no longer gets data connection

Hey guys,
I'm somewhat of a noob here but I'm having a problem. I've been using this rom on my G2x with no problems (more than the normal ones) for a few months. All of a sudden today, it restored all my preferences to default, made me go through the initial android set up screen, and I no longer have a data connection at all. It also deleted all my accounts (google, Facebook, etc). Upon restart each time, it keeps doing the same thing- deleting everything and resetting to default. All of my apps are still there and nothing seems wrong with them.
Also, I regularly make backups of my roms, but they are nowhere to be found (either with ROM manager or in recovery mode).
I haven't downloaded anything new recently and I don't think I did anything out of the ordinary.
Please help!! If I can't figure it out tonight or tomorrow I guess I'll have to reinstall the rom---which is fine, but I wonder if I'll get my data connection back...Do you guys think it'll work or should I figure out how to unroot my phone so I can send it back (don't really want to do this because I had problems rooting it originally).
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.
First, go to setting then privacy and disable the backup and restore settings. Then use a file manager to explore your internal and external SD cards to find the clockworkmod folder and see if there are any backups there. You might need to move them to the external SD card in order for the recovery to find them
