Hi,
I am a proud owner of a t32+ daxian x999+.
I am searching for other users of this phone.
Althought my phone is currently in repair in China , I still think it is wonderful device.
I hope al the users will gather here so we can help eachother.
I would like to know for example if anybody has succeeded in overclocking with omapclock. And if he did at which Mhz?
Also very interested in which software you guys are using. Which software runs very good and which not so well.
I have running SPBmobile Shell 2.0
TCPMP with flv support
Tman 0.9.10
SPB imageer
S2u2 1.05
S2V 0.35
S2P 0.4
PocketCM Imageviewer 0.4 and 0.8
Opera Mobile 8.65
SKtools 4.1.25.3
Esmertec Jbed Java for playing touchscreen games
SPB freecell
SPB Sudoku
SPB Brain Evolution
Still looking for a better luancher than Mobile Shell.
Has anyone used Ifonz yet or throttlelauncher?
Those look very nice too.
Also I am not sure the T32+ is compatible with 8Gb SDHC tf cards.
All your help is welcome.

Hi
I'm Selling mine, to buy the real one, an iPhone, Diamond or maybe an Omnia I900, but let me tell you, the microSDHC does work fine on this phone, just need to replace the system files with this: SDHC_WM6WM5, look for it on the forum. I tested myself and it really works.
hey mate......
i own a x999+ and was not happy when i got it due to my 4gb sd card not being reckognised so it was like i was punched in the gut feeling, one i contacted their tech support through msn he gave me a driver and have never looked back since.......i love it, so many ppl want one and allllll ask ahh is that the iphone so i tell em noooooo, i wish it was another shape or look....
any way good to see a thread started and hopefully we can start a general session and answer some other peoples question.....
what was wrong with yours sine u have had to send it away.
thanks

Somehow after a few crashes my rom got corrupted, it would not start anymore , not even a hardreset.
I tried to overclock the cpu a few times with no luck.
Maybe that killed the rom.
What software are U running, millencolin?

HI, I'm a proud owner too, so far no much complains about it, I'm not running any overclocking tool but actually using memmaid I could disable the damn flo cube myself and now the phone is running better, I'm switching between Ifonz and pointUI, but waiting impatiently for the Iswish or the even better and original Omnia touchwiz cab to appear I'm still very much attract by Iphone itself tough..but I must admit that this phone is a real treat, I think we should I found this forum for it as well as this http://www.i-clone.be/ ..keep posting about it so I won't feel alone!!
I bought mine at fastcardtech.com.
It is a Chinese webshop, but untill now they have been thrustworthy.
Took about 3 weeks from payment till delivery of the phone.
Now I must see how their service is gonna be. I have send my broken phone thuesday 2 weeks ago , but they say it has not arrived yet.
I cant track it , tnt said it could take 15 days , so I have to wait a little longer.
I will keep you posted about this and how they will handle my case at fastcardtech.
Is Ifonz running fine on the t32+?

what happend to ur phone?
@efjbedjong: Don't think it has anything to do with trying to overclock it, I tried to do that in the beginning (also to no avail) and after a couple of weeks the phone started crashing too... ROM is also corrupt now and have sent it back yesterday.
Am going to get the same phone, but am really not pleased with it anymore...
The cpu is too slow...
My setups were something like this:
* iFonz+s2v+s2u2+s2p+opera 9.5 etc... I thought iFonz ran too slow sometimes (sometimes it really RAN! but mostly it had to load a very long time)
* Image Viewer 0.9: prefer this one over s2v
* Spb Pocket Plus: C-R-A-S-H-E-D a lot!
* SPB Mobile Shell: C-R-A-S-H-E-D a lot!
* iPhone theme with wisbar advance etc...: used too much space on my phone and had too little functionality. Preferred iFonz over this, although this is faster if you compare it.
* Resco Explorer: runs fluently and I really advise this!
* PocketCM Contacts: too slow...
* iContant: runs like a speeding bullet
* Thumbcalendar (old version): too little functionality but looked nice and acceptable speed
* Thumbcalendar (new version): acceptable speed and good functions... Would only like to have it faster. (AND FREE)
* Tom Tom 6: runs very fluently (yet don't have an external receiver, so only used the maps if I needed to know a route.)
* weatherpanel or pocket weather: can't remember which I used at the end, but one of them was super fast and easy to use...
* PCM Keyboard + iphone skin: with some of my own adaptions to the lay out ran very fluently but is annoying when you need to type letters in a message for a recipient and you cant reach the name with your stylus since the keyboard "slides" the screen up
* Resco keyboard: looks nice and easy to use, but had several problems so went back to pcm keyboard. I think this one didn't have problems with the contacts while messaging
* sdhc.777: best sdhc driver, worked immediately, whilst other drivers didn't or lost there "force" after a soft reset...
Hope I've helped
Millencolin do you still have the driver for the sdhc card. I bought a 4gb card and can't get it to work.

What did I say in my previous post?
You can't expect people to simply do everything for you...
Just look on google for sdhc.777 you'll have it immediately and it's the best for the x999+/t32+

Daxian t32+
I just ordered mine from factorymobilephones.com
I hope all goes well. I have an Iphone 3G well my Girlfriends now.
I Love Windows mobile. I will admit the iphone was easy to use.
But that's it. so dull. you can install anything. well anything useful.
I noticed the t32+ doesn't have 3g but i will sacrifice that for the
Windows Mobile OS.
Also Anyone ever run emulators on this? Morphgear or a Psx emu?
8GB Support
@Tmo_T32- These are the files I got with my T32 ( 8GB support) in a microSDcard that came with it. (You have to Unrar the file to get the original files, Readme included)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RT1Z6JTL
I have installed it in my T32 before posting here and my T32 is still alive and everything works as usual, that means its safe. I don't know whether it works or not because I don't have a 4GB or 8GB card.
PS. Use at your own risk.
Count me into the T32 users. I don't have Wifi or GPS, though.
Check out this post for my experiences with various programs:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2568881&postcount=29
I'm now running DBH Slide2Unlock, SPB Pocket Plus, SPB Weather, SPB Brain Evolution, CE Total Commander, Opera Mini, Live Search, Youtubeplay (VERY slow), Yahoo! Go (slow), SPB Time, and SKTools.
I sometimes have to soft reset because Slide2Unlock sometimes freezes up.
I would just really love to have wifi. I don't need the GPS, really, with Live Search.
I have a 2gb card and really have no need for more memory.
I have to say, my BF has the T-Mobile Wing, and that thing is buggy as hell. So far, I love the phone, I just wish it had a bit more speed and power.
hey guys
to save having to install memaid to stop certain programs starting when you reboot your t32 if you launch
File Explorer-My Device-Windows-StartUp
there you will see some files that automaticly launch when unit reboots i have only left
Acc_Ap (not sure yet what this is)
QuickTaskManager (i belive this it the little task manager that alows you to close programs that a still running- its the drop down menu on the main screen)
USSD (i think this is the driver for the SD not really sure)
any way just rebooted without the touchflow (which i always thought was the driver for the screen and now i dont have it come up every time i slide from bottom up)
so far i have not had many or if any problems besides a rare lock up but a reboot fixes that and most of the time its probbably me pressing buttons 2 qucik than what it can handle
at the moment runnin
(also just hard reset it had alot of **** on it so i started clean)
Pointui Home
TomTom7
iFonz (will not run as frame net or sumthing is not up to date)
oh and SPB Shell ran fine not dramas at all (mind you it was the latest version)
any way any questions just ask......may take time to reply very busy.
Peace out from Australia.
So my phone will be send back from repair tomorrow.
Now I am really scared to install new apps.
Dont want to fry the rom again.
If only the standard Iphone menu was configurable.
I love the s2 products , but not sure I will install these again.
Maybe I just keep it stock for a few weeks.
Anybody any suggestions?
Eric
i c your point but i think it was jut bad luck as its a hardware issue that you rom was corrupter or what ever the fault is, like u said try it for a few weeks and c how u go nut personaly i would not hessitate to install anything on it, just dont try and over clock it, for all you know you might have changed a setting and only took a while for it to fault.
any way hope all goes well.
mc
So when I get it back there is really one thing I want to install.
Ifonz
Anybody can help with what version runs best on the t32+?
Latest is 1.04 but dunno if that runs fine.
Eric
1.04 runs good...
Btw: don't think it is just bad luck, there are several people (incl. me) with the same issues.
I would also recommend not to try to overclock the cpu... As you know this might cause malfunctioning hardware and I assume you did a background check on the OMAP processor before attempting this.
It has a maximum of 200mhz and since they probably didn't use the best connections I wouldn't even think about touching that part!
Also didn't think it is caused by s2p etc... What I did notice is that WAD, WA3, mobile shell etc... (not at the same time) that my x999+ started to fail and crashed. Maybe it was a coincidence and was the process of crashing already in progress, who knows...

Hi, I acquired a used polaris touch cruise 1 and nand flashed to RLS10.
I am wondering what performance this device has with modern apps. I had issues to run youtube videos and flash. I also tried to run sipdroid (sip phone app) and it stucked with sound or completely crashed. Is there a chance in terms of performance do get this apps running?

The YouTube app suffers from a known problem that we hope it would be fixed.*
For VoIP you can use a great application that really works: Nimbuzz. It can make call using Skype accounts and Windows Live Messenger accounts. Be sure to check it out.
And... welcome!! Polaris is still a quite good device.
Yepp, I second that.
I find Froyo a little to much for my old Polaris. It really anoys me the lack of Flash support in the browser. Even with Skyfire I can't get it requires a lot of resources. One thing I must say, I enjoy Android more then Win Mo that's for sure.
The best ROM so far for me is Valilla Eclair. Fast with very good battery life.
I agree with alinescoo, the new Android ROMs (e.g. froyo) are too heavy for Polaris.... Not a bad thing though, but as long as you know the limitations u can be a happy user.
Ive had my Pola100 for almost 2.5 years now, and the reason I moved from WinMo to Android is cause its much much faster, stable and cause Im looking forward to finally buy a new phone. And Android is defintely the OS to go for...
I guess the answer to ur question depends on whether u wanna use ur Polaris as a stable everyday phone or u wanna try everything u can on it...
Cheers
Oh btw, Im using Incubus Super Froyo RLS13 with Liqu1d's 16/07 nbh. Very fast and quite stable...
Hope it helps
I am sorry if a thread like this exists but I didn't managed to find it.
I tried different Roms but I can't remember from all which is the fastest.
I am mainly using my Polaris for:
- phone calls
- wifi browsing: Opera Mini/Skyfire
I want the fastest Android Rom that will suit my needs. From your experience what ROM would you recommend me ?
Thanks.
Try to use froyo 2.2 RLS 12, right now i use it on my phone, it is fast naught to do all the usual things without wait. I overclocked my CPU to work at 540MHz (this says Rogue Tools) but it is working at 520MHz really. The market it is working fine, bluetooth also, wifi can be solved to obtain ip, everything is ok. If you wanna more details, PM and i will try to guide you in romanian

how can I flash froyo 2.2 RLS 12 to my Polaris?wifi is ok?
1. READ POST1 HERE - FOR THE INSTALL PROCESS INSTRUCTIONS and download the install-seq.sh .
2. READ POST1 HERE - DOWNLOAD THE Latest FroYo NBH or ZImage (POLAIMG.NBH) for your panel type, and the RLS12 All Languages Themed (androidinstall.tar).
3. READ POST1 HERE - FOR THE NBH Editor v3.5.2 YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AND USE THIS PROGRAM TO CHANGE THE PANEL TYPE FROM 1 TO 3 OR FROM 3 TO 1.
After you read all the 3 posts from the 3 thread and you download all the files you need you can proceed with the install using the steps described in the point 1.
For solve the WiFi obtain IP adress, after you install successfully the Android on your Polaris, restart it and press the volume button up when booting Android, you will see a menu with some options, select FIX PERMISSIONS menu and wait... after the fix WiFi will work just fine and it will obtain the IP from the network.
Hope this post will help you.
Indeed, I am using since yesterday RLS12. It is pretty ok, some freezes here and there but nothing really important. Sometimes in Market the phone restarts. I thought about overclocking the CPU but I was affraid not to broke it. Is it safe? Is there a performance improvement ? What about battery drain ?
In my case i don't have any problems with freezes or restarting in the Market, but when you change the camera settings application from photo to video then the program stops. About overclocking the CPU, i use it in this way (540MHz) from some time, all is ok, the phone is fast and the battery is not drain, in my case work from 3 days ago and i have use it my phone to calls, WiFi (browsing), Bluetooth (send/receive files).
this last several days i've spent time to try a lot of android build for my device polaris100. here is my opinion about the best adroid build i've tried :
1.Incubus26jc's Super Froyo (RLS13)
the best build for show off to your friend in reality my device's 128 mb ram can't run it as smooth as it should be. too many frezes it work but with limitation. you need to tweak it a bit to make it bearable : 1 launcher page, keep launcer on memory, kill all windows animation. try to move the installed program to your sd might increase the cache files. uninstall those you never use. minimal widget. you might want to overclock your procc at the risk of your beloved polaris.
2. Kallt_kaffe VaniljEclair RLS11 (CM5.0.8)
It has the bling bling as the froyo build but it works generally alot of better than the froyo one. it work fast out of the box. and if you do the tweak i mentioned above it work alot of more faster. but not as fast as it should be if compared to those official device that came out with eclair.
3. [ANDROID] Myn’s Warm Donut - [RLS 5 - 04/24/2010]
this is the oldest adroid of the two above. but it has the least hardware requirement, in other word it really work as it should be (compared to the device that officially came with it). it just some glitches here and there but it is bear able. I'm having alot of fun with this build.
there is alot of other build that i tried but IMHO those 3 above are the one worth to mention.
hope this help.

can u tell me, what works and what didnt work, in these androids???
Most stable for Polaris
Hi,
I always testing any incoming releases.
I vote for Incubus Froyo (RLS13 yet). If you don't use lot of screens, widgets, than it is the most stable for daily use. These things are the most important for me and they are work:
- Incoming calls come fast
- Data plan works: Task, Calendar, Contact
- BT carkit works
- Battery: I use sometimes pcarvalho lastest winmo and it drains battery more, than Android.
I think the most freezes are about the low free memory. But I'm on it to get more memory. If I use app and data on SD, I got max 40MB of free memory.
Hey, I got the same impressions of the Incubus RLS13, very stable BUT suffers from a memory problem... well, can't expect too much from the Polaris RAM when compared to the new devices in the market.
However, can u guys tell me if the Launchers (PRO and ADW) should make the phone slower (choppy)? I decided to stay with the stock launcher, apparently works better (apps, screens in/out), but I checked that PRO and ADW don't use a lot of memory.
For example, Tjahjo07, when u say keep the launcher in memory and 1 screen only, which launcher are u referring to?
Cheers!
@grgomes
he means launcher pro.
Tks Phyt. Yeah, I did try the speed-up suggestions, my Pola100 is much faster now.
2 screens LP, keep in memory, people widget and weather only. Minimal freeze and FC so far.
I did however go back to Liquid's 16/07 nbh, the 26/07 from DZO was giving me a lot of charging and booting issues. Seems much more stable now.
Im waiting for a Pola version for the 24/08 nbh from DZO, read some good reviews from people using Vogue...
I flashed Incubus26jc's Super Froyo (RLS14), Kallt_kaffe VaniljEclair RLS11 (CM5.0.8), Myn’s Warm Donut - [RLS 5], but there is no-one can run in my Polaris smooth.
My suggestion is don't install Android in your Polaris for business. Otherwise, maybe you will loss order or job.
Good Luck Everybody!
VaniljEclair
Use the VaniljEclair an reduce the pages of ADW.Launcher to 1! It works really fast!!! Ive got Pola200. If i flash Incubus Froyo WLAN dows not work. Running the other ROM everything works fine!!! I had 1.6 myns warm donut before. It had benn run from SD Card. By flashing Eclair I got a 2.1 which works as fast as Donut from SD card. Try it! Its great!!!

i installed android NAND on my pola200 and worked. but after some days it goes crazy and according to this forum thresd i could remove old version and now i want to install another stable version, so i read wiki page but all links not worked! or say file not found. so i'm going back to read threads again to find what version is good. but another problem! ; many of this guides uses haret.exe to install android but i cant do this, because i don't have WM on my pola200 to run it. so can you help me for that? how to install new android ?
Afters 2 monthes on windows 6.1 and 6.5 , i finallly came back to the excellent android, windows is so boring
I had give up because of bad development cycle with .32 kernel and a lack of news on polaris android forum and the abandon of martin
So I downloaded atools, compiled the last .32 kernel and installed
HTML:
Thoughtlesskyle's Not So Super Froyo [RLS18] [12/4/2010] Who Invited This Guy!
both on nand and of course the last but not least update.tgz for polaris
The first impression was very very good : everything was well sized, smart and faster than fast, wifi and bluetooth did work
After my first installation, i went to the market and i did a mass update of stock application : that was my first mistake (maybe because of odexed stuff... i 've never understood this that's a shame) - everything went corrupted after this point until a big crash of the phone
So i did a second attempt and after two days with this configuration, i've a very good feeling, good stability and not so bad battery life after having installed "Data on demand" from the market
The most important point has ever be the battery life for me (not this fuc$''(ng camera - kids !!) and i've noticed that sleeping state is very odd for month, sometime the phone is entering sleeping state, sometime not and this must be battery hungry
my radio is 1.45.xx.xx
Some credits : i want to thank all the historical from HTC and the upcoming Liquid who do so much hard work replacing marginz if i've all understood
I wish i had the skill to help the community but i know my limit, everything that i can advise you is to work on battery life
Liquid : what is the problem with battery life exactly ? is there a way to work on sleeping state ? on windows my phone could handle 4 or 5 days without recharging... i know this have been asked so many times
I agree with you...
Hi,
Yes, I totally agree with you. I tried the first versions of cyanogene and after versions of thoughtlesskyle (fat froyo).
I admit that this is the most stable version ever tested.
Many thanks also to all those who have advanced Android for us.
I use my phone for business reasons but I always want to test the latest versions but there, I stop for the version of thoughtlesskyle as it works perfectly.
Thanks to all Polaris users
Cheers.
My phone is also running on Thoughtlesskyle's Not So Super Froyo [RLS18], and so far it is the best release I've ever tried.
Big thanks to l1q1d, who helped me with to switch from WM6.5 to Android. Tools and threads are always updated and support is both fast and relevant.
Thank you guys.
The problem with battery is due to several fatctors:
Radio firmware is not designed for android so it doesn't handle connection correctly
The sleep mode is not handle correctly by the firmware so the sleep mode is only a low consumpition mode
The battery calculation alghoritm is not perfect and there is no information on windows alghoritmation
good explanation liquid

Did someone try gingerbread on polaris ?
I'm a little bit anxious about performance on our devoted device
I'm now trying Thoughtlesskyle's with data on sd, i have read that it can improve sd card bug and data loss on reboot; The fact is that i'm not convinced by system speed with such an installation
I'm not really sure system is well installed since i've read that you need a special rom to install on fat32/etx2/ext2
we can find everything and it's contrary on xda forum, that's annoyin and androidon htc site need to be improved
First experience yesterday :
- easy to install but I use with Haret
- fast and like the Nexus S... Hum...
- But a lot of problems : wifi ok but impossible to connect by authentication, impossible to access to date/time parameters, ... And when I reboot, impossible to get Android ! Just a lot of messages and that's all I've to reinstall again...)
I think we have to wait for a new kernel with this new build
I return to my Froyo by thoughtlesskyle
Cheers.

I going mad with my Touch Cruise. I just crashed it on the wall and I'm quite surprise it is still working...
I am experiencing lots of issues. It's so slow that the phone freezes from time to time. Even after rebooting, applications are crashing... because Android says that the SD card is missing (I moved most of the apps using app2sd).
I feel desperate because Android seemed to be a great OS, but not on a Touch Cruise.
I will try to chillout, and wait for new kernel releases and setups...

I will try to chillout, and wait for new kernel releases and setups...

you don't have to wait but just follow this

this setup is amazing and very stable, none can't beat it for the moment
The app2sd technique is maybe at the origine of your problems, try with update3 and tell us if it's work
Thanks, I'll give it a go.
My telephone is also running on Thoughtlesskyle's Not So Super Froyo [RLS18]
I'll let you know if it works better (hope so!).
Hi everybody, I want to share what I 'm experiencing since last week. I made a BSE ( EDIT: using 1.0.6 atool ) flagging advanced mode then install system, fix permissions and clear dalvik cache and location system auto as well as data. In nbh editor I setted last L1q1d .32 fstab on auto. I have installed not so super rls 18...
Now in andboot I have a system.img and a data.img and here is my result : I have never had a reboot, no data loss and also I can turn off the phone without problem on reboot. I only must wait about 2/3 minutes before all is ready.
maybe L1q1d can explain what I have done?
I have a mirco sd class 6
P&L
It's quite interesting.
The answer is: you install both system and data on file on sd, the sd is quite fast so you can use it.

I am looking for the best ROM for the touch pro 2 on sprint, running 6.5 windows mobile. I want it to be fast and not hang up all the time which my phone currently does. Which one do you guys recommend for me. I use my phone all day for web and facebook and sms constantly. Any help would be appreciated.
Asking for the best ROM is like asking a group of strangers who the best actor or actress is. It's all based on opinions. It's not hard to flash ROMs. Just flash a few of them and see what you like.
In my experience, 80% of all lagging and freezing on this phone is caused by Sense. When I switched from Sense to Titanium the speed and stability improved beyond my wildest expectations. I also feel that most people don't give Titanium a fair chance, it's a very well designed interface once you become familiar with it.
Merely switching from Sense to Titanium did wonders to me even on the stock Sprint ROM. Last night I flashed Medium Hill's Titanium ROM and it's even better.

Anyone here could have told you that much. Sense uses anywhere from 40-80+ MB of RAM depending mostly on the tabs you use. Most of our problems with RAM come into play on how to save it without loosing the functionality of Sense. The easiest way is to replace the start menu. The default start menu alone eats up about 20MB or so. The lockscreen takes another 5-10MB. This isn't freed up even after unlocking. There are tons of modifications to try before having to give up Sense. I've tried Titanium, and I like it, but not enough to give up Sense for. There is simply too much to customize and make my own in Sense. It acts almost like its own operating system instead of a skin.
SilenceRom on Sprint is quick and amazing!

Maybe you should actually give 6.1 with the Rhodium Manila (Touchflo3d) a chance. It gives you the essentials of Sense without sucking all of your RAM up. You'll sacrifice Weather on your home screen but so what. If you set it up right you won't have any problems with speed.

Don't you also give up quicklinks ? I disable weather on Sense but quicklinks is something I use all the time.
Anyway, after much fiddling around and many reflashes I settled on VINdows Neodium 2.10 ROM. The Sense on this rom is very fast, fastest of all I've seen. Also, to my surprise, MMAppLauncher that was causing all sorts of problems on Sprint Stock ROM with and without Sense, works just fine. With MMAL replacing default Start Menu, with Voice Command turned off (never use it), and with several Sense tabs that I don't use turned off, I boot to about 103 MB of RAM. That's with Throttle Lock loaded. It goes down to about 75-85 with use, which is still plenty. If Sense proves stable on this ROM (no sudden SR's or Sense restarts), I may actually get used to running Sense again; if not there's always Titanium.
MR.X ROM! its super fast but you cant send picture mails
For me the best ROM means
1) Barebone OS or minimal add-ons
2) Best stability and battery life
3) Most ROM left
I see people use NRG a lot, but it's got too much fluff for me
well for facebook ive found the best way to get on it on opera mobile 10. all the fb apps for winmo suck. and mess around with either regular fb.com or iphone.fb.com ive heard it makes it faster, but i dont see it.
I like the sharkierom!
