[Q] Xoom + 4G upgrade = MZ60? Fill in question mark! - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Title explains it all.
Details: Got a Xoom that was 3G, but was sent in for the 4G upgrade. Which model number do I have? Or, how can I find out? I bought it used (but in mint condition) so I have no box to look at.

If it's Verizon then it's a MZ602.

Yes, it's a Verizon. Sorry, should have mentioned that, but thank you for the answer

Where was you Nexus S manufactured?

Hi!
Can you please post where did your Nexus S was manufactured?
Untill now, all Nexus S (GT-i9023) I know were made in Korea.
But today a friend of mine ordered one from Expansys Europe and they told him the one they are shipping is made in china, which is awkward!
Can you please drop your fededback on this?
(I guess that info from Expansys is incorrect, but that's just my 2 cents!)
If I may ask, why is this relevant? Might there be differences in performance we are trying to measure?

Does T-Mobile sell the vibrant or the galaxy s

Helping a friend out and I need to know he has a T-Mobile Samsung or a vibrant. They both have the same model number but before I upgrade his phone I don't want to brick it any help would be appreciated

What does it say when it boots up? Did you try looking on T Mobile's website before starting a thread? Are you sure they have the same model number?
They sold it to him as a galaxy s but everything I read is that they are basically the same phone just different regions. Honestly just was curious if someone knew the quick answer being it was bought from a T-Mobile store. Did a search but nothing came up definate. From what I read it should be a vibrant
Sorry guess it could have went into the stupid thread

The model numbers aren't the same. Search the model number of the phone and I bet you get your answer.

VZW Xoom Still Needs 4G LTE Upgrade - How?

Hello,
I have a 3G Motorola Xoom on Verizon and I never sent it out earlier this year for the 4G LTE upgrade. I have called Motorola and Verizon on multiple counts begging for some help because I really want the upgrade. The tablet would be much nicer with 4G. Any ideas on how I can get the update at this late date? Thanks!
Only person I have heard of actually talking them into the upgrade was from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29351203. Obviously he had to pay for it, but he might be able to help you ask the right question.

Thank you so much.

Probably a dumb question. Vzw sg3 on other USA carrier?

Looking at getting off Verizon, do not want to get another contract.
What is the status of our phone working on hspa? I've read in the development forum that in parts of Europe it gets hspa speeds as well as 3g so it's a Verizon thing?
Am rooted, unlocked yadda yadda running paranoid android rom.
Thx all.

Sell your phone for $300+, get a new one on your new carrier for less. Why keep it?

Thanks, but I am looking to set up on a prepaid service more or less. Guess I should have mentioned that in the op.

Won't work on US HSPA. There is a bounty thread in the forum trying to get it to work. Get another phone as other poster recommended. Will get EVDO speed. My other Rezound is Global on TMobile get EVDO only. Everything else will work tho.

Unlocking US Moto G to use outside US?

My brother ordered a moto G as a "souvenir" from US but accidentally ordered an US locked version and only to realise that after we have returned to Vietnam. Now are there anyway to unlock the band frequencies ? Here in Vietnam we use different frequencies from US and currently the phone can get signal and 2G networks but doesn't seems to be able to get 3G network and that means trouble for us. Thanks in advance.

It is not a locked version, else you wouldn't even get a signal. It doesn't even have the hardware for the frequencies you need. Sorry, the global version was also on sale here and your brother should have gotten that.

Thanks for the quick reply. Here's a plot twist he actually realized that he had ordered the wrong version and canceled it, Amazon even sent a letter confirming the cancelation. He ordered the international afterward and now we stuck with 2 moto G(s) even though we have already cancelled it.

And you need to return the old one or amazon will charge you. An order on amazon is still shipped even though you cancel. The turnaround is too quick to stop shipment.
