[Q] Removing vsync? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Is there any way to turn off vsync for the purpose of getting a more honest benchmark?

App to reduce cpu speed when phone is idle?

I remember there was an app like this for the HTC Touch, when the phone is idle the app will reduce the cpu speed thus save the battery - I noticed a huge increase in battery life with the touch back then and thought it was an essential app. Is there anything like this for the HD2? I think we all can save some battery life for our HD2's

Without an app to increase cpu speed and disable dynamic speed it already does this ...
LeoCpuSpeed3 will allow you to change the settings ...
first of all, the hd2 does run at 998Ghz at optimized speeds at heavy load, otherwise at idle its 700Ghz, unused. it already has this feature built in. increasing speeds arent safe especially where theres no coolant system or heatsink on these arm cpu. peeps can do whatever with their $500 dollar investment

True I would not recommend overclocking the phone, but many many people, including myself, use it locked at 998 with no problems, it gets warmer using wifi than it does at 998 ...
Also really I do not get much more battery life out of it set to dynamic ...
any app can reduce cpu below 700Mhz?
thanks.
Guys, NetRipper created an app that provides all of this. It covers all your LEO CPU manipulation needs - underclocking/overclocking even static & dynamic speed setting. Conveniently, its called Leo CPU Speed! You really have NO EXCUSE for not finding it - just type the damn words in a search box "leo cpu speed".
Please, don't act like morons!
Devs invest their precious time to create apps for you, give them intuitive names, write up tutorials, answer your questions .... it is not their job to run a search query for you - use the SEARCH box BEFORE you start hogging attention UNNECESSARILY; it'll take you less time finding it than posting up new questions!
It would be good if there was an app that reduces cpu speed to under 700mhz when the phone is locked and as soon as the phone is unlocked it takes it right back up to the full 998mhz.
Would save more battery than using autoscaling cause it would reduce it to less and you'd get full speed when the phone is unlocked since it would be at 998mhz. Something like that would be quite good providing it actually would save any battery

on my Leo - when locked - the battery current is around 4mA,
if its typical, then not much is to be gained by underclocking this particular state

yeah, mine is at 4mA as well..
isn't it like when in standby/locked the hd2 automatically underclocks to somewhat around 200mhz??
so, no need for an additional app.

You're actually right! Moreover, the instant you interact with the phone again the CPU will popup to 700+, and then if you push it a little, it'll go all the way to 998. All of this is OEM behaviour! So, these guys REALLY need to move on

[Q] Is Overclocking Bad???

Hey people i was wondering if overclocking the inspire is bad. what will happen? other than battery drain and heating. can it overheat?
EDIT: another, unrelated question: is there an app to make widgets and apps just go where you want them to be put, without a grid?

[Q] Best Battery App??

Is there an app that will tell me my battery usage for a certain app without having to monitor the cpu and network and all that then figure out all the math. Im looking for something really simple that will lay it all out for me so I can see whats going on at just a glance. Thanks

help GPU score low on benchmark test

Hai i have some problem on gpu s6.
Anyone can fix my problem. ??
You can sew on attachment.
Make me confused. My device no root
Why do people worry about their benchmark scores? IT wont do good on you I assure that.
Just be content that your device is powerful enough. Continous benchmarking at a short time span will make your device hot, thus cpu/gpu throttles.
Low speed, low score.
Your phone will give the best performance when you need it at most. Texting, browsing, checking emails, calls don't need all cores/gpu processing on your phone.
Intense gaming would fire up your phone to its full power.
People should refrain from using benchmark scores as much as possible.
Again, heat is the no.1 problem why your score is low, and if you're asking if removing throttling is the best way to get high score?
Its not possible and No, because it is the feature needed by your phone to protect the battery and its chips inside. You dont want to have something bad in your phone and to yourself
Same with desktop, they do have this safe-failure set up on cpu's and gpu's to prevent from overheating.

android smartphone power unit

Hi,
i have one main question :
how can you overheat a ram , a cpu , a battery in a smartphone logically ( with a software )
do you need to control the voltage to overheat the cpu, the battery, the screen and the ram?
is it possible to do that on a rooted phone via a remote software?
overvolt a cpu can make the cpu overheat?
overvolt the ram can make the ram overheat?
overvolt the battery can overheat the battery?
overvolt the screen can overheart the screen?
is it possible to control the data rate on the usb port? and overheat it?
i just need to know if its possible with a software?
thx

More voltage equals more heat.
Yes, rooted devices can overvolt(overclock) CPU, GPU, etc..
Try using the Kernel Auditor app.
Is there a way to do this remotely? Only if its your device. To do this to someone else's device remotely requires additional software and the owner of the device has to also have the additional software installed on their device plus they have to specifically give you permission to connect to their device through the software.
You can't "hack" someone remotely to do this.

it is possible

Hi,
it is possible via kind of stealth rooted management monitoring software , carrieiq......
you should read about gammagroup, hackingteam, pegasus, nso group, skygofree
you can jailbreak or rooted a phone silently via plugin a usb cable, its not because its not available online for regular customers that it is not possible
you can hack over the air almost everything via the radiochip or accelerometer, speakers, micro (siri, alexa, cortana........) its just a way in and a way out
but you have to be at close range, even the nfc is dangerous, you can expand the transmission range........ it is not truly hacking just spying but with a detructive purpose like a SHUT UP or GET OUT
i 'm facing this kind of persistant kind of bootkit or firmware rootkit inside my devices not only in my smartphone........
if they don't use my baseband against me ( battery draining, silent ping......4G 3G downgrading.......cut off my data connection.....)they put a tiny kind of tranceiver inside embedded in the logicboard, inject data stream inside the cpu or the memory.... modificate everything in memory , in fact it is like your badbios
off course they control my phone 24/24 hours, if i speak they destroy my devices
they monitoring me and harass me for DECADES ...
its spying and harassment "illegaly of course" but you do whatever you want when you are in your country
so i will have to buy all my stuff out of my country
but i'm a kind of blacklisted guy so i will face the same kind of harassment overseas
^^ if you want to destroy someone, its not difficult when you are innocent you just build lies , bad reputations.....
