Please don't set the min to the highest possible frequency. It will shorten battery life and isn't too good for the phone either.

My phone and my wifes were getting hot while not even in use. So we called tmo and they replaced them no problem.
The phones were getting very hot in our pockets. For no reason. With that and the data issues I had to replace it.
Tmo was great. No problems getting a new unit. You may want to try.

if ur not rooted u cant underclock. if u are and u have setcpu pick the tegra profile and set your g2x up
I'm in my second G2X and my first ran a bit hot but this one doesn't get hot at all. It seems that from the different posts I've read that either you get gold or you get crap when it comes to this model.
Since I rooted and froze all the TMO junk my phone runs much better than before. The biggest difference is that since rooting and freezing my hourly percentage drain is now only about 2% with data and wiring turned off.

I sleep in a relatively cool basement so normal temps range from 20-39 degrees Celsius even when I've overclocked the phone to 1.5 ghz, just make sure your battery doesn't exceed 40 degrees Celsius for a prolonged period of time as it shortens the overall battery life.
Cool, thanks...

So last night my battery was heating up like crazy... It got up to 107 degrees! It started to get hot when I was trying to show someone a video on youtube while I was on the edge network... dumb question, could it be the crappy radio that is responsible for the heat up? when I was trying to repeat the rise in temp on 4g and wifi, it still went up but not nearly as high...

So should I try getting s new battery...

How hot should my run. I'm at OC at 1.3 but after 5 min of us it gets up to 104. Is this to hot?

I'm pretty sure that that is the battery temp cause our phone's processor doesn't have a thermostat. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Also I read not to let it get to over 50°c

U know I think ur right cause as the temp rises I feel the back of the phone to be warmer. If what u say is true than 50 c is equal to roughly 150 f. My phone has never gotten that hot.

The only time mine really gets warm is when I'm using it while its plugged in and I'm overclocked to 1.2ghz and temp is always fine

Ok I'm wondering how the hell they did this but I ran a quadrant test with antutu and I saw in the scores someone had their skg4 overclocked to 1.4ghz in japan antutu crashed my phone on anything over 1.2....

Don't try to match it. You will cook your phone.

For those experiencing long battery, what CPU settings do you have placed on your phone? I would like a recommended setting that's good enough for performance, but better battery life. Thanks!

I noticed great battery life with the stock ROM (which I'm running right nOw) only thing I did was remove bloatware.

How much did you underclock? Damn auto correct

Down to 1 Gigahertz for Max and for min the same. For some reason when I try to lower the minimum CPU it reverts to the same as the maximum. Weird.

I didn't do a thing to the CPU, but I still get decent battery life, even on the long train trip home. One full charge lasts me about 10-12 hours (including standby time while I'm at work)
