Ok I'm wondering how the hell they did this but I ran a quadrant test with antutu and I saw in the scores someone had their skg4 overclocked to 1.4ghz in japan antutu crashed my phone on anything over 1.2....

Don't try to match it. You will cook your phone.

This app is for those of you who either loves using Quadrant Benchmark or for those who just want to know how your browser speed stand up to other Android phones. This app can be easily found in the Android Market by typing "Vellamo" so there's no need for me to post the apk. Yes the app is made by Qualcomm, but they claim a Qualcomm processor isn't required so enjoy!

Just for Fun:
My phone scored 687 in the test which seems pretty decent for the stock browser/stock unrooted rom. Check it out and feel free to report your thoughts or score.

What is the your browser benchmark score? Its hard to make out in the screenshot you uploaded. Whatever it is, it looks way higher than mine.

Thanks for the tip. I've honestly never used Smartbench 2011. Is it similar to Quadrant? I'm so used to the simple and easy to read layout of Quadrant so I've never tried any other benchmark apps.

Smartbench is way more accurate than Quadrant.

Why do you think that? Is Smartbench more accurate than Quadrant overall or just more accurate for dual core devices?
Edit: I just downloaded Smartbench 2011 and tested it out. I noticed that it tells me two different scores. It tells my phone score and then an android rom score. My phone's score is 3035 and the rom score is 2518. What exactly does these two separate scores mean? I'm used to Quadrant having one overall score.

I think it has to do with your rom functionality not sure exactly. I prefer cf-bench to be honest. It is a much more extensive bench mark and you can save your prior scores.and match them to your current score. I may have used sb 2011 once.

Please don't set the min to the highest possible frequency. It will shorten battery life and isn't too good for the phone either.

As of now, no there is no kernel with OC functionality.
Yeah, just as I thought. Thanks. I mean, it's not that OC is needed for this phone to work fast, but I'm kinda bored so I would like to play a little with CPU & GPU OC.

Apparently qualcomm has hard-locked the snapdragon 400 SoC so that it won't go above 1.2ghz anyway. You could "overclock" it to 2Ghz and see such a speed reported in CPU-Z etc, but in reality it's still only running at 1.2Ghz max.
