Just out of curiosity why will the htcdirect.apk (htc hub) not install on my phone?
I am running the virtuous doubleshot 1.1.6 ROM btw.
Does anyone know a workaround?

T-Mobile based "mySense" ROMs won't work with Hub because of framework incompatibilities. myTouch phones didn't come with Hub. Try a "real" Sense ROM if you want to use Hub.
OK that explains it. Does the HTC hub have a Web site I can visit? I searched and all I could find was some French doods page...

Nope. I have an htcsense acct set up. I was looking more for the ring tone packs and other downloads that the hub offered. Thanks though!

Just Switch to any other rom runing on sense 3.5 and you will get HTC hub & HTC like

Is it possible to use a temp root to get HTC Locations/Footprints on the T-Mobile branded Sensation? Last I heard of getting it on the T-Mo version was before a temp-perm root was achieved.

I doubt it with temp root, but once we get full root, I don't see why not. I seen the apk's lying around somewhere on this forum.

Okay I searched for it and came across http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=539530 which has three zip files and this is also from 2009 we are in 2011 and I am using a S-Off HTC Sensation does anyone have an updated version of it and how do I install it?

I just flashed the European based 2.3.4 Bulletproof ROM and it came with Locations and Footprints.

Thanks, I'm hoping to find a way to add it I have Coredroid which has been working flawlessly since I installed it and I have loved their rom since my TP2 days.
*** I actually just found that I have locations it looks/reminds me of what I remember footprints to be is there a difference between it and footprints?

I can't find it. BlueSky.apk, Burgundy.apk has in system/app folder, but there no HTC. May it depends of Sense, i have 3.0 ver.
Theme stays on my desktop, but "file is out there"
Problem is fixed and closed. Problems was in Rosie
Here's the Ice Cream Sandwich Keyboard i was looking for for a while,me & my friend ilostchild tested it on Insert Coin & ARHD ROMs & it's fully working.All you need to do is flash it in recovery then select it in Language-> Keyboards then go into "Default & choose English(or other Language)" .Here's the link,enjoy

did you switch the language? Also make sure it's not set to system language , I download all the language dictionary all installed fine correction won't show cause I have my dictionary set to English

His best bet. I checked the ICS Hub and its not there. Seems the app he's looking for is the Daily Challange...
I think that it works only on Sense 3, because on HTC Hub I couldnt find when I had gingerbread with Sense 3.5

I would like to replace the HTC Sense with something else, for example ADW launcher.
I found on this forum xda-developers something which I found interesting.
( Rosie.apk -> HTC Sense !!! install other launcher before removing like ADW !!! )
Does that mean that I can Remove/Freeze ( HTC Sense ) and replace it with ADW?

If you are looking just to change the launcher, you don't necessarily even need to freeze applications. Go to the play store and install the launcher then choose that as your default. That might be a lot easier.
For a more cleaner Rom get root explorer but first install a launcher and the open up explorer and go to system>app and delete anything to do with sense fore example rosie.apk and widgets

If I remove every thing from HTC Sense can I install Launcher Pro then as a system app?
If you hate sense that much, flash an aosp rom. You will get the pure android experience you are looking for with none of the sense framework that causes lag

Q&A means Questions and Answers, here is the Q&A forum for the Sensation.
Sure can.. I'm running Nova and froze sense. If u wanna remove it just back up jus in case.
Keeping 2 launchers consumes more juice. Atleast thats what it did back in the Eclair/GB days.
But keep the sense lockscreen.. if not u need to unlock to see caller I'd. Bug thing.

Can you please tell me exactly which Sense apps you froze.
I would like to do the same.
But I'm scared that I will freeze the wrong apps.
I have two sense apps [DESKTOP] HTC Sense and HTC Sense
you can always flash HNS which is stock but without sense thing, except camera (gallery and music player if you prefer stock).
or use Virtuous Inquisition.
you can find it in development section.

[DESKTOP] HTC Sense is Rosie.apk, which is the Sense launcher. the other HTC Sense is for your HTC account (if you use it)
