Hi all,
I'm using the Virtuous Quattro ROM with ICS and it can't find my music from the sdcard/music folder. But in all my previous ROMs I had not that problem... sometimes it finds my music after 40minutes or something after I opened up the music player. And if I'm later gonna open up the music player again my libary is empty again -.- (I tryed it with the Google Music player and winamp)
Is this a bug or I've to move my music in an other folder?
Known bug with media scanner, check the VQ ICS thread

I had this issue also and I /kind of/ resolved it. It worked for me but I'm not sure it will work for you. But I had to do it each time media scanner was bugging. The trick is to force media scanner to work.
Download devtools : http://db.tt/9lpOiHAp and install it. Launch it and simply tap "media scanner". It should say "media scanner started scanning /sdcard/". When finished you should get your music back

I had this same issue..that is, until I downloaded widgetsoid2.x and created a media scan widget. I just download a song from the mp3 downloader app, do a media scan and then I'm set. Hope this helps

Hi,
I've just finished install the ROM CoreDroid, and I have issue with my music.
I created a folder "Music" on my SD Card, but neither of PlayerPro or the default music player can find my songs.
I've also tried in Documents\Music, same problem.
How can I solve this issue ?
Thank's
Thanks for choosing Coredroid! Music players working ok for me. Both stock and PowerAmp find my tunes. I created a 'music' folder like you.
Have you tried a reboot since creating your folder? Sounds odd but sometimes you need to force a scan of media before a player will see it. There is also an app that does this without a reboot called SDrescan. Give that a go and let me know what happens.

I finally found the problem. My songs were in .flac, apparently CoreDroid can't recognize them.
Putting .MP3 in "Music" folder works.
Thank you anyway

It's not so much CoreDroid, but a specific media player which does or does not support flac. The stock HTC player has never supported it. I can highly recommend the purchase of PowerAmp. It can play flac files and is in my opinion the best player out there.
Hey guys,
don't know if you got the same issue.
i started to sync my music playlists with isyncr wifi, for the first time all went great.
but after a second sync i only got the old media in my playlists..seems the media scan doesn't work..
playerpro no problems, i also tried the so called "mediascan" app from market.
so any solutions so far?
thank u

That is cause Mindnote does not have Touchwiz??
Try alternative players like Google Play Music or Ubermusic or something...
I used the Megatron ROM for a long time and it was the most stable ROM ever!
But recently i encountered a problem where i cant play any of my music file though any music player including the Google Play Music.
I wiped my transformer and changed the rom to CM10 but still none of the music player can scan the music content on the device. These players used to work perfectly but suddenly all stopped. Can anyone think of any reason as to why this must be happening.??
Where is the music stored ?

It's stored in /sdcard/Music.
Now i am having an error "android.process.media has stopped" whenever i try to open a music app (Apollo or Play Music).
