After rooting and installing the CM7.1 ,I was able to restore the original Rom using CWM restore option as i had three back up versions on a day basis.(played many times with restore and install)
Later i had installed MIUI based WP7 and tried to restore my Original back up it was unscccuessful. but i could able to restore back to CM7.1 as i had back up of that also.

I always love Custom ROM's but since going to sell and buy another android powered soon... so i need help from u guys to give the customer as it is.....
Please do help
Tell me the error you get when restoring the backup. If it's a md5 mismatch, then you can just get 4ext recovery and in the recovery control app, disable md5 check.
Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
when im restoring the back up i get NO errors...it says restore succesfully completed.. when i reboot it stays in white HTc logo screen and boot back to recovery mode...

saga.hboot-2.00.2002.zip - Contains the 2.00.2002 official locked HBOOT.
PG88IMG.zip - The PG88IMG is used to flash files through the HBOOT, as this sequence of letters and numbers are recognised by the HBOOT as a flashable zip, this is generally used to update RADIO's.

If you flash that ROM.zip file, you will be flashing the HBOOT, Recovery, System and Radio files, whilst this probably won't be a problem, you will then have to go back later and re flash your recovery option.
Have you tried flashing a different ROM, eg. Endymion? etc.
No zeekiz...
I have tried MIUI,and cyanogenmod...i had seen no internet pass through in any of the custom ROm's ..
No now after installing the RUU_Saga_hTC_Asia_India_1.47.720.1_Radio_20.28I.30 .085AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199605_signed.exe i have to extract ROM.ZIP and then by wiping the dta/cache/dalvik ...right?
if i flash extracted ROM.zip will i able to see my original sense UI and 2.3.5?

U can't just flash a ruu as simple as that.First...boot in bootlader and write everything you see there.
i have the same data like the ones in your signature,
only my actual rom is Virtuos Affinity

sorry if you have a custom recovery installed you can flash a rom.zip extracted from any 2.10.401.x ruu.then you are stock again.if this doesn t work rename the rom.zip to PG88IMG.zip and put it in the root of your sd card:boot into bootloader and wait the bootloader to flash the update.
---------- Post added at 06:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:06 PM ----------
how can you extract a rom.zip from a ruu?simple.Download the ruu you want (but i suggest you downloading this one RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.8_Radio_20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04_M_release_225161_signed).Run the ruu. When the window HTC ANDROID phone rom update utility appears don t click next.Open start>run and type %temp%.A window will pop up.
These are your pc's temporary files. Then search type in the search box rom.zip or sort them by date (the most recent to oldest files) then do a manual search in every folder for an archive named rom.zip.
If you think you are "too lazy" to do this i will upload a rom.zip and will give you the download link.HOPE this helped!
not working

Also the Rom update utility is clearly saying to you that the RUU you are using is not the proper version. Think about that or you will end up with a brick...

I have experienced the exact same situation except I have no opinion for back-up in my recovery, so I am just stuck with the boot-loop no matter what I do.
Should I try and root it again?
delete your firmawre from the sd card
on the 1.27 it says locked on the hboot but it doesn't .
try to flash 3.24 firmware i know it works perfect have not tried yet 3.30 ....
you should delete the fw after flashing from root sd card .......
Okay, I will try that. and yes, I know to delete off sd card after flash.

Do you mean you don't have a custom recovery (clockwork or EXT4) installed?
If not you can also flash this either via bootloader in pg58img.zip format, or by installing from market if you achieve rom boot.

I flashed ClockworkMod back on my phone, and tried to do a recovery of the last time I backed up before all this bootlooping occurred. But it's still bootlooping.
Sorry I am so impatient, I just haven't had a phone for two days now and I am anxious to fix this. I also don't have the money to replace this phone either.
What I ended up doing is loading a tmous ruu via bootloader and then flashing my stock backup I made before I rooted and the bootloops stopped. But like I said I had to reroot no issues till this day
If you are not supercid u must find your correct ruu...a list can be found under the friendly fireware thread in sensation general forums I believe

I am in deep trouble, my xe has been in boot loop for over a week, I think I may now own a brick...
a brick because I was too ignorant and did not fully (still don't) understand what I was doing. I successfully s-off'd the device and thought I was flying, I then tried to flash something (and for the life of me, I can't find the thread again to say exactly what I flashed) and then....bootlooping like mad.
tried hard reset, wipe dalvic cache, flashing another rom from the sd = epic fail.
Any ideas? someone said I need a revovery image??? but I nver had one, cant go back to a backup I dont have..

Always make a backup when you are flashing.
You could however try downloading one of Mike's (Android Revolution HD) firmware packages. I believe his 3.30 firmware package has custom unlocked HBOOT in it. Next unless you are SuperCID you'll need an RUU (rom) from HTC that supports your phone.
Put the firmware package on the root of your SD from you computer using a card reader. Flash the firmware. Power off and remove the firmware from SD card. Put the RUU on the SD card root.
See if you can boot into the recovery and flash this RUU. Best bet is something like ARHD, I've never had an issue with SuperCID and Mike's rom. Ideally if you get the phone functioning again. Think about SuperCIDing your phone. That way any rom that is supported by your firmware can get you out of trouble.
Another suggestion is that you've updated to rom that doesn't support your firmware. Try flashing to another firmware package, this may well fix your problem. Try one of the later ones (3.30) if that doesn't work. Track down a 3.12 which works with Gingerbread and ICS Roms.

did you have to reroot to get it to work?
because I just installed the correct firmware and attempted to flash a new rom and I am stil in bootloop.
@squash @jaysun - I would move straight to running ruu, this will return you to stock and you can start again.
Just run the ruu from your PC with device attached via USB and in boot loader.
If you are superCID you can run any ruu.
If not, match to your original software, baseband, carrier (if branded) and device.

any idea which of the 53 is the right one? haha.
by the way, thank you so much for helping me out. like I know I am most liekly a pain in the butt, but I am a thankful one!
No worries at all.
So, if you have Sensation xe you need an ruu with "le" in the filename. If it's European, similar - choose European. If your phone was carrier specific e.g. Vodafone IT, pick that one.
That should narrow it to a few candidates.
Now you have to match to your original software and radio version if possible, do you know that?

First post. Hi all. I have rooted phones for years now and am finally at a loss of what to do with this current phone I have. I have a HTC sensation. I just S-offed it and was trying to install clolckwork mod 5.0.0.8 and it says model id incorrect and I am stuck in a boot loop. I must have downloaded 15 different PG58IMG files and they all say the same thing..... model id incorrect. I just got this phone in the mail. Revolutionary S-offed it. Then when it asked "Revolutionary will now ask you to Install clockwork recovery mod after S OFF. Type N and install it manually" from the [Guide] to Installing S-off, Unlocking, ClockWork, Root, SuperCID & S-on. Now I am stuck in a boot loop. Does anyone have any idea of how to get this phone working again??

I have successfully rooted a HTC sensation before. My phone got stolen out of my work truck and this is the replacement phone I just got yesterday and was going to do go through all the stuff to install android revolution HD on it. and right after s-off it boot looped. Next step was to install clockwork mod and thats where im stuck. I have no recovery installed because that was the next step. Any insight/help appreciated thanks
If you a have sd card adapter, you can download CWM Recovery form Here rename it PG58IMG and put on the root of sd card.
Put your sd card back into the phone and reboot in bootloader and it will install recovery. When you are done, delete or rename PG58IMG from sd card.
Btw what is your model Id?
Download terminal emulator from the market and detect it by typing "getprop ro.mid" (without quotes).
Inside the PG58IMG there is a text file with MID and CIDs which you could eventually edit in case of mismatch.
Hope it helps!
Also, instead of CWM you could try installing 4ext

If you have adv setup and can boot to bootloader
you can try installing 4ext recovery using fastboot commands.....here is link for touch recovery image
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377759
Command
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using XDA
Just wondering if you flashed a wrong PG58IMG (ICS firmware instead of recovery).
You are on ICS firmware now but your rom is a GB I guess. This can be the reason of boot loop.
If this is the case read carefully and download the right PG58IMG (firmware 1.17 if your rom is a Gingerbread) from here.
Unfortunately all the bootloader flashable zips are named PG58IMG, but their content is different.
Heres what I did. Took phone out of the box. turned it on. used it for a couple minutes. Then I did the whole revolutionary s-off process. Then I did this
-----------------------------------------------
STEP 2. To INSTALL Recovery - v5.0.0.8
1. Download recovery v5.0.0.8 for the Sensation HERE: or Multiupload
2. Copy the PG58IMG file into the Root folder of your SD card (The main Folder of your Memory Card)
3. Turn off your phone FUlly and reboot into the Bootloader/HBOOT screen (see post above on how to get to hboot screen)
4. Press Volume up to Accept when it asks" Do you want to start the update"
5. Press Power Off to Reboot back to android after installation is successful (normal screen with homescreen)
6. Delete PG58IMG from your memory card and you can now root using step 3 below or install a custom ROM using CWM (Customs Roms are already rooted)
--------------------------------------------------
I downloaded the older 5.0.0.8 because it worked for me in the past when I rooted my old HTC sensation.
Now its saying no image even though I renamed it to PG58IMG.zip
And it still stuck on a loop. SO alls I did so far was s-off a brand new phone.
Thank you all. Phone is back to normal. I did the 1.17 firmware that kualmente mentioned. So now my phone is a stock phone but just S-off'd. The next step is to install a recovery. Do i even have to install clockwork mod or can I just put on 4EXT recovery? if so how. I was just following directions from this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
And step two says to install clockwork mod so thats what I was going to do. but I know i need 4EXT later anyway to install android revolution
I personally prefer 4ext touch recovery but basically both cwm and 4ext have same functions.
There is a nice tool to easily install 4ext recovery touch HERE
I'm all back up and running android revolution 6.5.5
Thanks for all your quick responses.

Hboot 1.27.0000
No i didnt flash the 3.32 firmware...
You flashed the firmware (otherwise you wouldn't have hboot 1.27).
Most probably you did'nt flash the rom and you are still on GB. This is why it bootloops.
Did you install a custom recovery (cwm or 4ext)? If not do it and then flash the rom from recovery

Well no ruu for now, but as JavierArends says you can use TrickDroid and BackToBasics Rom. I was having that problem too. No boot, stuck on htc screen. The problems is that ther is no base software 4.0.4+ for that phone. If you want to use your phone againa flash backtobasics, but that rom is Senseless, but works great, if you want Sense you can install TrickDroid this way:
Download trickdroid v2.0.0 , full wipe (user, cache, dalvik) flash Rom, go to bootloader adn flash boot.img and reboot until it works
After that you can download trickdoid v3.0.0 and flash only wiping cache and dalvik
that works for me
Hard Bricked?

If you can enter to bootloader you can run a ruu from there. If you the locked the bootloader the ruu has to work fine. In order to install trick droid you have to unlock boot loader , install recovery and gain root access. I think the only thing you have to flash with fast boot is the boot.img

I have a HTC One S villec s3, and I unlocked it using the official HTCDev method, then I tried to install CWM but I couldn't, then I successfuly installed TWRP, and it worked fine.
I made a backup of the official ROM so good, but after doing factory reset, wiping cache/dalvik I accidentally press power and the phone was powered off. Now when I turn it on I can get into bootloader but I can't enter into TWRP, I tried reinstalling TWRP but I can not get into TWRP, only thing that I see is the logo of TWRP and suddenly restart.

RUU for BSTAR301 DONT EXIST. YOU NEED BE S-OFF AND CHANGE YOUR CID FOR ANOTHER LIKE ASIAN CID TO USE THAT RUU

my bad.. you are from telcel.. so you have the annoying CID BSTAR301. i found a JB OTA from our CID http://www.shipped-roms.com/downloa...15.20.29_M_release_315588dsq1aqy4avpc8u41.zip but.. i don't know if works.... you can try install some sense based ROM like viper compatible with Moonshine to get S-OFF or you can try install any ROM and try rumrunner to S-OFF. after that you can try fastboot oem overwrite cid HTC__044 or something like that... its HTC Asian CID.. if that not work you can try this

OK... @JavierG123
I already found an existing tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26516911
The only difference is, VilleC2 can't use 11111111. You can change it to HTC__044 (Asia Version)
Then, in this download page : http://androidruu.com/?developer=VilleC2
Download this: RUU_VILLEC2_U_ICS_40_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.15.707.101_Radio_16.21.20.02U_16.09.20.11_M2_release_289564_signed.exe
Then you can flash the pure RUU
ps: The Hex Editor on Windows is a paid software, so I'll give a cracked version

Well, here is what I have done so far...
Downloaded the Ruu Asia, downloaded the BSTAR OTA and downloaded Viper also...
Flashed Viper rom and Wrote the Viper boot.img file and phone keeps in bootloop.
So, At this time I opened IR'Key software and after reading phone info I could notice teh CID was changed itself from BSTAR to HTC__01, awesome, I would no believe it. SO I used teh sane software and edited the CID to be the ASIAN one, and it CHANGED !!
great
I then tried to flash the Stock Asian RUU, first I relocked the BOOT.
The RUU started to work and gave an error complaining the MODEL is not compatible
Now I cant enter recovery, and cant unlock bootloader vbecause the unlockFile doesnt work (I think I have to go through all the way to the bootloader unlock process to install the recovery again)
The question is, do I have to also edit the Model ID ? and what is the correct model ID for the ASIAN RUU to be compatible ?
Hi guys, I have HTC one x+ international rooted, TWRP 2.4.1.0, ViperX+2.0.3.
unlocked
enrc2b_u pvt shi p s-ON RL
HBOOT-1.35.0000
cpld- none
microp-none
radio-3.1204.168.32
emmc-bootmade:disabled
cpu Bootmode: disabled
hw sercureboot : enabled
modem path: OFF
My problem is, I accidentally updated my phone via wifi. now it's stuck on the boot screen( the one with htc logo).
How do i make this thing work again?

Hi there!
I found a thread about rooting, flashing ROMs...etc...for your device.
Please read post number 3 in the thread. It explains in detail how to return to stock.
> HTC One X+ > One X+ General > [HOW TO] Unlock bootloader, Root, Flash Custom ROM, Flash Kernel
If you have any further issues, that would also be the perfect thread to ask for more help.
Good luck! ?
