[Q] Nandroid Backup Error? - HTC Sensation

I have an error when trying to restore from a Nandroid backup. I used to still be able to use the backup as normal afterwards though. My HBOOT changed from 1.17 to 1.27 and now the error when restoring backup gives me a bootloop. I have no other backups. What can I do?
I am using 4EXT Recovery.

Hi,
Your nandroid backup was presumably made before you upgraded to 1.27.
Nandroid backups do not include firmware or radio.
So,in order to get your nandroid backup to work, you will have to downgrade your firmware to 3.12 (hboot 1.23) or lower (hboot 1.17)
Then you should be able to flash it.

Yes Thank you that is the problem but how can I get the other firmware on the phone if I cannot start it?

Hi,
You have to step down from firmware 3.24
You can flash Firmware 3.12.401.2/102 HERE
GB will work fine on 3.12
or you can step down further to firmware 1.17 HERE
You need a card reader,so that you can place the appropriate PG58IMG.zip on your sd card.
When it has finished flashing, take the card out remove the PG58IMG.zip,put on Super wipe zip and new ROM,and flash those...

Old firmware

Hi guys, where can i get the old firmware? I flashed the new firmware to install the new ICS 4.0.3 Sense rom. I didn't like it, so i restored my old ROM. And now i keep getting random reboots which i never get before.
I'm on stock XE rom after flashing new firmware and no problems.
HTC Sensation 4G with Beats Audio
I'm on Miui.us latest version.
Try downloading the orgional rom for your phone and flashing it using the ruu exe file. This will restore the phone back to the orgional bootloader and radio and rom!
Can i just flash the PG58IMG.zip from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300

When we flash the RUU...does it remove Root? I installed a custom ICS ROM to try but didn't like it, so I did a NAND restore, but I think the firmware was still updated to the one that was needed to do the ICS, and I find the battery is draining quickly. So I would like to revert back to where it was.
I had though a NAND restore will restore everything including the HBOOT version and the radio...but guess not? So should I just do a RUU thing then?
Thanks

I think the pd58img ur referring to is for CWM not the firmware or radio which is what ur looking for. If you want complete retail stock then find the gingerbread 2.3.4 RUU. If ur looking for 2.3.4/5 customer roms the just flash the rom u want. GB works fine with its firmware. Backwards compatible.
The situation have been getting worse and worse everyday. Now, I couldn't even use my phone for 2 minutes without it rebooting itself. I have tried different ROMs with the same result. And i have already flashed the latest T-mobile firmware which i got from this thread.
And I'm sure its the firmware that's causing the problem. Because the first time booting into android after flashing the ICS firmware, the phone froze during the boot screen.
I'm running
HBOOT- 1.23.0000
RADIO- 10.11.9007.15_M

[Q] Restoring to stock w HBoot 1.20. Pls help!

Before you go "this has all been discussed".
The reason I opened this is because I've since flashed HBoot 1.20 Firmware.
I was wondering if that will affect my going back to root?
Also, this is first time going back to root from a custom ROM.
If HBoot version doesn't matter, do I just go to Recovery. Choose Backup and Restore and then click on the one I backed up earlier?
Thanks.

[Q] Phone keeps rebooting after recovery.

I tried a ICS rom and I wanted to revert to CM7. Did a recovery, but the phone keeps rebooting at the HTC logo. What should I do?
you should go back to the old firmware suitable to your rom

Hi,
Which firmware did you flash in order to load the ICS ROM?
If you have hboot 1.27,you will not be able to restore old backups.
You need to step down your firmware to hboot 1.23 or hboot 1.17
1.23 firmware is HERE
1.17 firmware is HERE

Nandroid backup

Can someone upload a nandroid backup for a normal HTC Sensation, it is S-ON so I can't flash a ROM, so I'm stuck in the recovery.
I need a nandroid backup so I can get into the phone, please?
Wouldn't it be easier to use a RUU?

Hi,
You cannot flash someone else's nandroid.
Try to flash a ruu from Here
Match it as close to the carrier and area you are in.
