Hello Guys,
I've just installed V3.4 Endymion Custom Rom. For that, i've unlocked the Bootloader with htcdev and used superclick to gain root.
I've just wanted to ask if it's possible to flash the theme add-on for this firmware afterwards, because i've just forgotten to flash it right befor v3.4 Update.
Or do i need to wipe and flash again?
Thanx and greets
Hi
Instructions:[/B][/SIZE]
- Full wipe if not coming from Endymion V3.0/V3.1/V3.2
- Install V3.1_base
- Optionally flash V3.1 addons package
- Install V3.4 Updater - do not flash addons package after this, the order is important!
- You're done
I would personally wipe and then install in the order Lowveld says, better to be safe than sorry : )

Actually you can install the addons, and then reflash the updater. The important bit is that the updater should be last.
I should make the instructions clearer, sorry about that.
Cheers, and welcome to Endymion.

Thanks for your answer and thanks for your amazing Rom!!
I just want to ask, if my Apps/Setting will be lost, if I flash the theme add-on and the 3.4 Update again?!
Hopefully not, otherwise there will be enough work again, creating all the folders and so on...

No, you'll be ok. Just flash the addons, an then the updater, and don't wipe anything.
Cheers!

Q. Will this fix BT, MMS, Wifi, Sdcard mount etc...?
A. As soon as I find the fixes I will be adding them to the update.zip
--
Q. Will this erase any data?
A. Flashing one of he ROM's posted above means you did a full wipe so any /data would be formated, the patch itself does not format anything but write into the system.

So even after these "ports" are flashed there is still gonna be tweaks to the system needed to be up 100%?
I'm sorry if thats common sense to some but to me it seems a little tricky...because most [ROMs] that have been prted to the EVO are experincing major issues in simple catagories...e.g - MMS, BT, WiFi, (not mentioning the 4g and HDMI...
Thanks for your work and time that you have put into Android Development
Nice!! This should evolve!!!

You sir are THE MAN!!!
thank u bro great wrk like always
Omg, i just finished manually doing all of it grrr. Lol.
Quick question, as you said before, a sense rom will need an evo sense kernel and an aosp will need and evo aosp kernel.
How do we implement that into there? Or do we just flash it over the rom before booting?
Awesome work, thanks.
Awesome work! Your keeping the ego exciting to have. The wife hates it but that just shows how good of a job your doing. I flashed sky raider and everything perfect. I flashed the uncommon app pack because I remember reading in one of the hd Rome the it was going crazy because it had the 4 signal bars instead of the 6. Does this matter with all of the Roman or just the hd Roms? Thanks again

Kernel is the boot.img inside your update zip. You will need to include any necessarily modules if needed
Thanks IncDoes. I first followed your Blog tutorial for my first port. This makes everything so much easier.

boot.img is necessary because like its name kinda sorta implies...without it, your phone won't be able to boot up, it would just hang on the white evo screen. The kernel is also contained inside the boot.img.
So if you want to flash a AOSP Incredible rom, you would want to get a boot.img from an AOSP Evo rom and replace the Incredible boot.img with the Evo boot.img. Same thing with a Sense rom.

Ohhhhh i see.
Skyraider vanilla is vanilla right? its not just stripped sense?
So i im going to need to grab a boot.img from cyanogen or Emerald alpha right?
Or can i take a kernel itself and melt it in the boot.img included, for instance kings aosp kernel.
Or can i just flash a different kernel once i boot into the rom?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to learn haha
Thanks
Running sky raider and the only problem I have is no capture button in the cam I guess its because the inc has the track pad. I can get camera to work by holding screen but no dice on video.
Can i flash the desire z version from inc on my evo and get evrything working? Ie: 3g, wifi, radio, bluetooth etc...

This is a battery Mod for the new Gingerbread Roms 2.3.2, should work on all 2.16 builds. 1% Battery
*CWM Recovery 2.5.1.3 may be the best recovery to flash this Mod*
1.Backup
2.Install via CWM
Let me know if there are any issues!
V2. Bootanimation.zip taken out
What does it do exactly ?
It will add the battery percentage, as in the picture. If you have the new Gingerbread 2.3.2 Rom this will work.
Will it install the boot screen automatically? I just want the battery mod.

I can take it out if you like, then it would just be the battery %?

You need to wipe dalvik and the card partition. Then flash. It will work after that. Restore you back up and flash again.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
I am on the same Rom and it works. Just restore your backup, try clearing Dalvik cache and card partition. As long as you are on a 2.16 build it will work. So that should include every Gingerbread Rom that was built off the Gb leak.

I already have CyanogenMod 7 (RC4) on my phone, but now that there is a stable release I would like to get it. My question is: can I install it over RC4 without having to wipe data and cache?
Save your Files and do a FullWipe, it's recommend and a must i think.
You are on the Safty-Side when you do that
I just flashed the final release over a daily build, the thread said so, and it works fine.
You don't have to wipe, only if there is a problem. I have been updating since around nightly 29 and haven't wiped once and that includes all the rc's and the new stable but make sure you backup just in case.

Please can anyone said how to add some other language in nightly build? There is my language in elder builds but now it was removed from last nightly.
Worked just fine for me.
I find that I can't add more language without recompiling ROM. Wrote to author with this problem.
Please, somebody, tell me how to disable annoying vibration then i unlock my phone with slider. Can't find settings for this. I'm using CyanogenMod V7.0.2 on wildfire.
Solved: just disable lock screen)

Just if you are coming from another rom make sure you do a full wipe & wipe the dev cache before you flash the Cyanogen rom! If you already run a cyanogen rom on your phone now dont bother doing a wipe just flash the new rom! i would install clockwork mode 3.*.*.* with Cyanogen 7.0.3 ( or you will get stuck on a bootloop after installing! ) go here for it - http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/20122-cyanogenmod-7-for-the-htc-desire-hd-v703-5-may-2011/ or if you dont wanna install the latest stable version ( & i dont know why you wouldnt want to ) or go here & install an older version the Cyanogen 6.1.3 from here - http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/11011-cyanogenmod-61-for-desire-hd-v613-01012011/ ( if you want 6.1.3 version make sure you use clockwork version 2.*.*.* or you will get stuck on a bootloop after installing! )

Hi guys, to begin I am not a developer.
I notice that a lot of people want to come back on Official Froyo Rom for differentes reasons (S-Off their device in general).
RUU don't work very fine with goldcard or people who are on a Gingerbread rom. It also unroot the devices. So I propose you Official Froyo Rom 2.2 zip.
It doesn't unroot your device, doesn't change your Hboot and doesn't change radio. It only change the rom
1) Download Bravo_WWE_2.29.405.5_v5
2) Flash 2.x.x.x recovery (CWM 3.x.x.x version doesn't work with froyo rom)
2.5.0.7 is the best version : .img and .zip
3) Full wipe via Recovery
4) Install the "update.zip" in Recovery
5) Reboot
6) Enjoy
If you want S-Off your device, it's Here

Seems like a great idea to make stock ROM for recovery
Will it remove our custom HBOOTS (by alpharev), or will they stay untouched? If not removed, which will work with this ROM?
Will we stay S-OFF with this ROM??
I thought that "root" was stored in ROM-part of the memory, but i guess not I know it's the official, but is Superuser Included?
What makes this different from Teppic's pre-rooted stock 2.2 ROM?
- To go through some other points, CWM 3.x.x.x will work fine with this ROM unless you're using an update-script instead of the newer updater-script
- You don't need to rename the ZIPs in a custom recovery
No offence but this is a pointless thread as there are already stock FroYo ROMs available

It's always nice that more people take up Rom development, but as Eddy said with no mods at all, this is exactly what teppic74 has posted, namely a stock rooted Rom.
Anyway, include the following info too in your OP:
Rooted/not?
Busybox?
Version of su?
Init.d support?
Kernel-(if stock, mention that) etc...
One more thing..the term OTA suggests that this is the OTA patch that HTC sent over the network, which doesnt exactly descibe a complete stock rooted rom..
Welcome to ROM development.

As the thread name says. Stock battery with 1% steps. Flash it via TWRP recovery. Make a backup before (better safe).
If the battery indicator shows strange values then go in the TWRP recovery and wipe Cache/Dalvik cache. If you like it, use "thank you".
It works! Thanks mate!
Works perfectly, thanks a lot!
Great, thank you! Works on Trickdroid v1.
I flashed via twrp and now keep getting error system ui not responding. Of course I didnt make a backup. Any recomendations?
what about S4?
For S4 you have a lot of roms with a lot of mods and tweaks.
I don't think that you need this mod when you have all the possibilities out there.
I believe that you have this mod on viper rom and energy rom.
i'm trying to install energy rom, but no luck. also i'll try viper's one
It works!
I use TrickDroid v1 and works perfectly
