Hey guys, Ive just used the goldcard method to remove all Bloatware from my HD2 by installing the WWE rom. I have already Network unlocked Via Subsidy Key on the Original rom. My question is.
As i have flashed the new rom, Is the Subsidy unlock still active? I have no means to test as i only have a T-Mobile Sim card atm. My o2 card is on its way

Oki, two little things I learned...
There are at least three types of lock.
SIM-LOCK - You're locked on one provider
CID-LOCK - You're locked to one "manufacturer"
APP-LOCK - You can't install some stuff on your phone.
While the APP-LOCK can be disabled by simply using a registry editor (do a search, you'll find tons of answes), the other two are a bit more complex to get rid of.
CID-LOCK prevents you from installing a ROM from a different brand or distributor. Example, you bought a e650 and you want to install the non branded HTC rom? You can't. It will tell you "Invalid vendor id".
For this check the Bootloader thread, some people here can do MAGIC.
For the SIM-LOCK... Well, either you pay your provider to unlock it for you or you go to a company able to do it. Still no way of doing this on our own.

so if i remove cid-lock i can instal other ROM, but if i'll do that i will no longer have sim-lock?? is there a ROM that is whitout sim-lock??

Even if you flash the htc rom that is not sim locked it will not remove the sim lock as this is hard coded onto phone and currently can only be removed by imei check or your network provider, providing that they carry this phone.
I searched all the forum but I didn't find any clear answer to that question :
my Kaiser is sim locked by a french provider. If I replace my original provider ROM by the one from HTC (by upgrading the ROM), will this sim unlock my device ?

No.. the sim lock is another thing.. a couple user from orange have this problem (sim lock if reflash the rom) because (i think) at this rom (from orange) they do something with unlock code, so, if you change your rom, you lost this code.. but just the orange phones..
But if you reflash your devide with another rom (original htc or other), you until have your fone locked..

i purchased a kaiser that has been fully unlocked with no carriers attached to it. i want to install a cooked rom e.g Dutty on my phone. Do i still need to do the sim unlock and hard spl?. Can i just install the rom update without doing any of those steps?.
You don't need to sim unlock it but you will need to cid unlock the phone and install hard-spl still.

I bought my Treo 750 through AT&T right after it came out. I upgraded to the official WM 6.0 firmware a long time ago. I also called AT&T who gave me a code to unlock the phone so I can use it with my new T-Mobile SIM.
I want to upgrade to 6.1. Since I had AT&T give me a code to unlock my phone (I'm currently using my 750 on T-Mobile now), do I still have to use the Cheetah unlock utility? If I flash my radio to the 1.54.07 version, will it give me better coverage or reception with T-Mobile? Do I have to flash the radio to use 6.1?

The code just unlocks your phone for a different SIM card. I would recommend using this tutorial to get Hard-SPL so you can use any ROM you want. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511763
I have 6.1 Sprint Unlocked SIM and want to do the upgrade but scared that it will remove the ability to use any SIM card. I have done the upgrade on my father's Sprint TP2 and he likes it, I just need some confirmation before I proceed. Thx.
It wont! But I suggest you call customer service first, and make sure it wont.
I upgraded to 6.5 and my tp2 remained sim unlocked. It will not affect your sim unlock

Yes because you will need a new patched radio since the rom includes a newer stock radio
