Hi,
I recently got myself a 16-gig micro-sd card on which I want 3 partitions:
1) 12gb (FAT32): Media
2) 2gb (ext2): Apps2SD
3) 2gb (ext2): Debian
I've been trying to make them with gparted and I can't create 2 ext partitions. Whenever I try to format 3, then 2 gets corrupted. Then I fomat 2 again and 3 gets corrupted.
Everything works OK with just 1 FAT and 1 ext partition. The problem comes when I create the two ext partitions.
Does anyone have an idea about what the issue is? Maybe it just can't be done?
Thanks in advance.
I have 2 smartphone android OS and 2 tablets Android OS
In huawei Honor there is Internal Memory 800Mb, Internal SD 2Gb, External up to 32 Gb
In Advan S5 Internal Memory 1.8Gb, External up to 32 Gb
Advan Vandroid Tablet Internal Memory 500Mb, Internal Sd 2Gb, External up to 32Gb
I'm wondering is there anyway to merge the Internal Memory with the Internal SDcard so it is increase my internal memory and i'm only have mount one Sdcard when connect to PC (just like my Advan S5)
As far as I know there is no way to merge the Internal Memory with the Internal SDcard, they are two different kind of memories with two different filesystems and as it happens when you have two hard discs in your pc, you cannot merge them into one.
Actually with 2 disks on a PC you can use LVM to merge them. However, with internal member and internal SD it doesn't work that way. Though, Linux can make memory seem as if its physical its not the same thing. =\
But in ZTE V970 i managed to merge these 2 memories: 500 mb with 2GB - now i have one 2.5 internal SD...
I used a mtk flash tool special for zte...so i think it must be also for others models, isnt it?
Regards
Well i dont have specific solution but i know that it depends on the hardware especially memory controller. For example if ur phone does has soomething like raid system like on pc's

I have some questions about partitioning SD card. I created 2 partitions (FAT32 and EXT4 as the primary - in the proportion of 3GB and 13GB). I plugged the card to the phone using Link2SD. After starting the phone I pointed the file system of the second partition and check the option to automatically move applications to the SD card (of course with the reboot in the meantime) ...
And now the questions:
First - I thought that after the creation of the partition, my space in the "phone" for the application will increase - from standard 150Mb to 3.15 Gb. It didn't happen - after installing some applications I have about 50Mb left.
Second. As I wrote in my first point - theoretical - if the memory of "telephone" has been increased, the second partition should be used as a standard memory of the directories created by the system. Meanwhile, all of the files and applications are installed on the first partition who has 3BG? Is this how it should be?
Thanks for any help.
Can someone explain me how can i merge my internal storage and my phone storage in 1 memory? I have rooted xperia J and i use my sdcard as my internal storage, so i have 16GB at the internal storage and 2 at the sd card. I want to merge them together, like if they were only 1 partition. Please help meeeeeee
Never heard of this before and i don't think it's possible on J
They are two different memories. All you can do is swap them.
Not possible. Just swap them, 2gb not that much anyways.
I have a Oneplus 2 device which has 64GB internal memory but no external SDcard slot. I need to run an application "Citrix Receiver" which obligatorily requires SDcard to perform certain functions. I tried to search for it here in XDA but I only got tutorials for making SDcard work as internal memory but not the other way around. So is there any way I can make a small partition of my internal memory and make it act like SDcard??
