Hi all,
I'm on ddjp6 rooted.
My battery works good on stand by, more than a day.
But on using internet, fully charged battery expires within 2b minutes.
Is this a rom problem?
Can a custom rom solve this?

Look for the battery first. if it is old more than a year or around then this could be the time to change the battery..
Even i was one of victim of battery drain. but all concluded with a battery replaced.
Try CM7..
Its really great. with everything working in a normal use it gives around 2 days.

Hello !!!
Guys, please help me to figure out which is the best modem that I can use in Brazil.
I found one good Brazilian Android Forum but, of course, it doesn't has an Infuse threads.
Current I'm using the JB Paranoind 2.53 with UCLB3 modem, but sometimes it doesn't work very well so I wanna try other modem.
Can I install modem from other models, like Samsung i9000 ???
If not, which other model is compatible ??
Thank you !!
In the Infuse DEV forum, you'll find a thread that has a link to modems that will properly flash to the MTD structure of the JB Paranoid .

Thanks Truckerglenn for the reply.
Before post my question I saw this thread with all the modems but, correct if I'm wrong, the modems from this thread are tested for US use right ??
I'm trying to find out a good modem to use in Brazil with my current provider.
In fact I look in all forums, PM some Brazilian users, but there are only a few guys with Infuse here.
Thanks !!
Try them out and see which gives you best result.
I believe someone from Venezuela said uclk2 worked best for him.

Guys, I'm using the UCKD5 and so far is very good.
Signal until now is the best that I ever had and incredibly my battery life also is the best.
Until yesterday using UCLB3 after 10h on battery I should get about 30% left, but with UCKD5 now a have 60%.
Gustavo, I think you should try UCKD5.
thanks !!

Hello. I had my i9003 rooted since 9 months ago and it works perfectly.
Like 3 weeks ago I updated the firmware trough the phone updating tool and the problems started:
-Battery started to last only 3 hours.
So I tried to find a kernel and a rom to solve it.
I installed thefrankestain mod and the bam kernel and it started to turn off suddenly all the time. I freaked out and I try to find "the most stable rom" in forums... finally I found a gingerbread 2.3.6 firmware with recovery and I use it
I have this data:
firmware version
2.36
base
I9003XXLE4
kernel
2.6.35.7-CL1143078 [email protected] 156 #1
compilation number
GINGERBREAD.XWLF2
I calibrated the battery and all that stuff and the phone keeps turning off when I use an app more than 5 minutes!! I hate that.
I don't even know how that data mean (my phone data), I know I am a noob and a loser as I have just watch in the xda video but I will be glad if someone give some thoughts of what is happening to my phone, if it is any solution and
if anyone recomend me any kernel/rom combination that avoid my problem. (links will be helpful as well)
Maybe it's your battery that has gone bad. Is you battery swollen? Can you put it on a flat surface and see if you can rotate is easily?

Hi this is Mihir,
I am using Samsung Galaxy Nexus GSM version and have rooted it , along with that i am using a custom rom by CrDroid built 12.
I am facing battery problem, along with some bugs.
From the time i installed the rom i am having battery drain problem. At night around 11:00 PM the battery was 99% (Fully charged) and when i got up in the morning (8:00 AM) the battery was 74%... I was shocked as previously when i was using other rom it hardly reached 94% but this was a drastic change. . I realize Jelly bean drains battery but when i was on stock rom it didnt .
It would be very helpful if some one could help me resolve the Problem

Any Specific developer?? There are three of them...
Hi,
Had the same problem a while ago when I installed cm. Battery life was awful. Batterycalibration did the trick for me. It erases the batterystats.Bin. You have to be fully charged before you do this.
If you have a battery remaining time indicator, It's not working correct the first unload cycle.
Good luck .

You should uncheck under Settings/wifi/special/always on for search or something like that. It really drains battery under 4.3

I don't think anyone will reply cause such questions aren't allowed on xda.
You are supposed to test for yourself, till you find a rom fitting to you.

First time I flashed a ROM was years ago and it kinda ruined my phone, it had bugs etc. Nowadays I see no reason to flash a ROM in a brand new phone that has no issues and costs 700€ unless you feel adventurous . I might flash a ROM later when it will stop receiving updates and there's a stable ROM.
