TB Camera & Talk failure - Thunderbolt General

So, suddenly yesterday my camera decided to fail me. Lauch the camera, get the quick camera logo then nothing, back to the home screen. No error of any kind. Gallery works, see everything, no problem.
Running XDABolt 2.0
Decided to see if an update was out, by chance it was. XDABolt 2.1
Backup of my data, wiped, reloaded 2.0 and restored data. No luck, camera not working.
Then did another wipe, and tried it without restoring data, no luck.
Noticed then, that talk too, was not working, but get a FC error.
Wiped again, flashed radio for giggles, loaded XDABolt 2.1, tested, no luck.
Restored data and every still okay... but camera and talk.
Ideas?
XDABolt 2.1 & current radio (radio from XDABolt 2.0, still current)
Other apps are fine... gmail, facebook, internet, maps, messages...

Try using Fix Permissions within Rom Manager.

Done.
Permissions fixed, phone rebooted.
No go. Camera and talk won't run.
On boot up, get a FC on talk.
Can't find any other issues.

Tried this: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/3683-fix-gtalk-and-camera-fc-confirmed/
No luck.
Tried this: http://androidforums.com/thunderbolt-all-things-root/406430-camara-issue-gtalk-fc.html#post3148683
Gtalk works, but camera just opens and stays black. No image.

Update:
Installed a different ROM and flashed radios... no luck on Camera or Talk.
If I flash the camera.zip, talk works again, camera just loads a black screen.

Found to be hardware. Replaced hardware. Back to stock.
...for now.

download unsuccessful, please try again. tried all solutions. is market down?

tried clearing cache/data of everything related to market, tried uninstalling market updates, resigning in with google, everything. it just WONT WORK and im going nuuutss
already tried pretty much everything on here and google.
wont work over wifi or 3g. was fine, i flashed a MT4G rom, IceGlacier, and ive reset and NANDroided back to CM7, still seeing the problem.
Nope. Not just you.. I'm having the same problem. Might be that there's an issue on their end.
Strange, is working for me.
Not working for me either.
Keeps starting download. But it doesn't really start.
Done.
Re-installed Google Talk.
How are we to reinstall Google Talk without the market working?
When it happens, usually by removing my sd card i can get it to work

I ultimately tried 16 different things to fix this. Finally got it working by using the CM7 settings (not booting into recovery) to do a factory reset and re-format of the SD card on my computer (not from the phone). I'm afraid to do a restore though. Going to manually download and set everything back up again. My two-day nightmare is over, but now I've got another day ahead of me getting everything back and set up.

[Q] Strange issue with Nexus S

Ok, I tried to avoid bothering people to solve this but I am just genuinely lost.
The other day I finally took the plunge and rooted my Nexus S and everything worked perfectly. So I decided to install CM7 7.0.3 Stable so I did a Nandroid backup of my current rom, then flashed CM7. Again, everything looked fine. So I proceeded to flash the google apps. As soon as I did that and logged into my google account, the market started going nuts trying to download all of my apps. The count in the notification bar was actually higher by a substantial margin than the apps that it was actually installing. After this happened, the first few downloads worked then the rest of them started to fail. So, at this point, I had a successfully installed rom and all of the google apps worked perfectly, except I couldn't download anything through the market.
At this point, I thought it would be best to go back to my restore point through Nandroid. Once I reverted back to my stock 2.3.4, the problem was still there. I wasn't able to download anything from the market. So, in my frustration, I went out drinking with my buddies and ended up crashing on a couch. In the morning, I woke up, my phones battery toast so I got into my truck, plugged it in, booted up and voila, market works again.
This led me to believe it was a server side issue. So today, I reinstalled the CM7 and google apps and tried again. Same issue. Now I am wondering, do I leave CM7 on for 24 hours to see if it fixes itself again or do I try to find another copy of the google apps. The ones I have are the ones I dl'd through rom manager.
Before anyone asks, I have tried all the usual suspects:
-Cleared the market data / Cache
-Cleared the Cache in Clockwork
-Cleared the Dalvik Cache in Clockwork
-Tried reflashing the google apps
No dice.
Anyone else have this issue or have any ideas for me?

[Q] G2 - Market Suddenly Doesn't Allow Downloads

Ok so I have a HTC G2 (Desire/Vision). I decided that i finally wanted to root it and go all out. So I did the permaroot and installed the newest version of Clockworkmod no problem. I then flashed the CM 7.03 rom. Booted up, everything looked good. I then flashed the newest version of gApps. It asked me to sign in and everything was fine. The final step I took was flashing the G2-Fast kernel (1.9ghz OC). So when i boot up my phone, google attempts to back up all my apps via the market. There was around 100 apps downloading. So I left it there over night. This morning i check it, the last 10 apps or so were unsuccessful. I kept trying to reinstall apps but nothing. I also tried new or different apps but all come up as "Download Unsuccessful". Since then I've tried just about everything to fix it. clearing cache/data, reflashing, superwipe, sobe's method, signing into to GTalk, toggling 2G. I figured I try a new rom. So far I've flashed meXdroidMod and MIUI, but same result. Everything is fine but market doesn't want to work. I'm contemplating reloading my old ROM that i backed up once i get home. Anyone have any ideas? I pray to the gods of XDA.
I don't have much experience with your particular phone buy there has been a small epidemic of your issue on droid x running Gingerbread. It appears to be a disconnection of the google account with the market. It always appears to happen after a data wipe and need to reinstall apps. Sometimes you can still push apps from the Internet market to the phone, sometimes not. In a few cases it resolves by unmounting the sd card and downloading. Once download works then ok to remount. Besides those lucky few, everyone else has to wait it out. Even sbf does not fix it.
FORTUNATELY every case I know of resolved itself spontaneously in about 24hrs give or take. I found at least one case via google on a Thunderbolt so I know it can happen to other phones. Also if you have more than one android device on the same account all of them are affected. Good Luck
It has happened twice to me. Because of this I now keep copies of my most important apps on my sd card.

After Reboot, lots of data corruption, stock + root

Seems that my data for most of my wife's apps got corrupted somehow. All the apps are still installed, but about half wont launch. Deleting the DATA doesn't help, I must delete the application then reinstall for them to start working.
I changed the battery in my wifes phone to charge the backup, and now I got constant force closes. I deleted all those apps and reinstalled them and now those apps work. Also the touchwiz launcher lost all her icons, lost the sorting in the app drawer, and reverted back to the stock homepages. Also the newest contacts are missing, but I'm not sure if they were saved to the sim card or to the google accounts.
This is all on the stock software, no custom rom & rooted. The only thing I can think of is I converted from imnuts kernel non-voodoo to voodoo and I didn't flash the SD card fix afterwards. This was about 5 days ago... How can I stop this from happening again, I probably won't be near her to fix this the next time it happens.
I had to delete almost every app and reinstall, but everything seems better today.
It sounds like some app somewhere or some piece/step related to the kernal is your issue. I would suggest starting all the way over. Flash the stock version and fresh download all apps. This way you will not have to worry about her phone. Good luck and let everyone know if you find the bug. I just had a major bug with the new version of skype that includes video chat.

I installed the leaked skype version that works with 2.2 camera. I wonder if that could have been the cause?
Yep. Gotta reflash.

Hangouts Can't Reach Google

Greetings... I just ODINed back to stock, took the OTAs, ODINed CWM, and then flashed Tweaked Lite 1.0. So far it's awesome. Only issue is with Hangouts. I'm getting:
Couldn't sign in because we couldn't reach Google. Try again.
I've tried restarting, just waiting (multiple days), updating Hangouts, clearing data in Settings->Manage Applications, wiping cache from CWM and nothing seems to be working.
Any suggestions?

I had this issue and did this and it fixed it for me...
Clear updates and data from Google Hangouts and Google Play Services.
Delete Google Play Services using Root Explorer.
Reboot.
Try to open Hangouts and it will prompt you that you need Google Play Services.
Download and everything should then work ok.
Yeah this happens from time to time, still not sure on the reason or rhyme (#drseuss). Doing things similar to what jdawg334 outlined has helped me as well.
I finally got it to work. I couldn't get Root Explorer to delete Google Play Services successfully but with all the deleting of caches, updates, and force stopping services it finally was able to log in. Thanks for the help! Loving tweaked lite.
the tip is gold worth for my SGT7 3G in fixing time calculation .
Found more info here LINK, and here the step by step description:
uninstall updates for Google Play services
tried to open Hangouts which prompted me to update Google Play services
updated Google Play services
ran Hangouts
Works!
So thanks to PalaNIN on reddit.com.
Can't access internet
I was able to get past the Hangouts problem, but I can't seem to access the internet after flashing Tweaked Lite. I can access the Play store, d/l apps and updated installed ones, send and receive e-mails, etc., but if I open the default browser or Dolphin browser, I can't connect to the internet. I was given this Charge from a friend, and want to use it as a wifi device only. It was already updated to FP8 when I received it, so I rooted it, installed CMW, wiped data/factory reset, then just flashed the ROM. I didn't Odin back to any previous build, just went with the OTA already loaded on the phone. The internet seems to be the only thing not working.
*Edit*
Guess I didn't get past the Hangouts problem. I uninstalled the updates to Google Play Services, then reinstalled the update, but still get the message "Couldn't sign in because we couldn't reach Google. Try again."

Yeah the hangouts thing is obnoxious - I went back to stock a few times to see if I made the issue but I couldn't get it to work there either. Not sure why the browser is acting up though - haven't seen that myself... not sure what would be causing that issue unfortunately.

I can't figure it out - not being able to browse the internet. It has worked once or twice, but I have no idea what changes to allow it. I restored a backup back to stock to check if I could browse then, and I could. I then reflashed TLite, but still had the same problem. I just restored the backup back to stock and I'll leave it there for now. I use the phone for wifi and a couple apps, so it should be fine for now. At some point I probably should try Odining back to a previous version, installing the OTAs, then flashing TLite. Would I want to repartition when going back to EP4D?

Wouldn't be a bad idea. Your usage matches my own (no sim card even), and I have yet to encounter any sort of browsing issues at all.

same deal here. it worked once. my theory is that it might have to do with Google Play Services. I'm thinking the Lite version blocks something or left a key file out.
found this: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1647495?hl=en
and this: http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...ogle-hangouts-cant-sign-updated-solution.html
another hint
My situation was the same, google play services uninstall, reinstall doesn't help the login issue.
But at least : cleared hangouts data and google play services data, then on my PC I've log in to my gmail account and at the bottom left corner i've enabled "the new kind chat" (means Hangouts instead Talk) and then the hangouts on my phone immediately logged in to my account...
interesting...
