Dead Strike, Mike V Skateboard Party HD and more kart racer lovin' coming to SEXplay? - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

So, quite often, I sift through loads of Android games and find something that's just begging to be broke free of the constraints of "touch screen ghetto" gaming, and I'll sometimes drop the dev a line to see if they're open for the idea of Xperia PLAY Optimizing their game, and questioned developers about the following three games to get the following responses:
Dead Strike

Q: "I remember playing this game on my old iPhone! So glad to see its come to android! Any chance it'll be Xperia PLAY optimized?"
A: "Yeah I've been getting a lot of emails asking me this , it will be in the works very soon"
Mike V: Skateboard Party HD
Q: "Any chance this will support Xperia PLAY physical controls?"
A: "Yes, Xperia PLAY support is currently in progress. We are expecting it to be ready by the end of the month approx."
Tiki Kart 3D
Q: "This is running quite smooth on Xperia PLAY, but is there any chance that this game will ever use Xperia PLAY's physical controller?"
A: "were talking to them now about it "
I like the zombie games we have now, but none of them feel as fast-paced and "horde"-like as Dead Strike. Always loved skating games, and there's never a such thing as too many well-done kart games. I won't say anything's concrete until we have the final products playable, but sometimes it pays to ask developers things

Boom! One down, two to go.
This is good, especially since PAC-MAN Kart Rally is our only other kart racer (which has extremely awkward handling, btw... and there's that whole thing where it's only really available to Verizon users). This one's controls are decent, even if it didn't cover menu control. What I'm really anticipating though is that Mike V Skateboarding game's Xperia PLAY Optimization.

ANDROID MARKET LINK
With very low expectations, I booted up this latest release from Gameloft, expecting a complete mess. To my suprise, its a half decent brawler, that also works with the Xperia Play controls! D-Pad only, and there doesn't seem to be a way to hide the touch screen controls.
Looks like a Genesis game. What is the gameplay like? Is the game based on something, sounds like a terrible film name lol
Seen the film ,that link doesn't work forme and I cannot find it on the market or gameloft site.

looks much like God of War for Java.. oh god, what's with gameloft these days?
seems like gameloft published the game but they did not make it
looks pretty bad. I won't play this game. I bought a play to play games with decent graphics and gameplay. not to play with this kind of junk to throw away some $$$

NICE!! I grew up games like this and, Kings Quest, Quest for Glory, Space, Ace, Dragons Lair. Awesome to see that its out now and in full support of our phone. Awesome news. :good:
Edit: You know what kills me..... our phone is around 18 months old, didnt get much love was overhyped and undervalued. But still gets some great game support and $ony meanwhile has "no plans" to release a sequal. Sure it may not have generated a cash cow that perhaps they were hoping, but with the attention it is still receiving that has to mean something to them........ but as they keep saying.... nop XP2......... it just boggles my mind.....

True,Anyone curious why NO other smart phone company made a gaming smartphone device embedded with a gamepad???...i mean they have done EVERY KIND OF PHONE!! why leave us to hang on touch screens???...
Probably because of Sony patents and technical difficulties (slide part, hard to make something that can resist time and not copy the play system).
Also I worked in a phone shop and they didn't sell well: when a male customer was interested, his girlfriend was pretty quick to say: " What? Are you a child?"

We'll go ahead and ignore that KEMCO noted "Not Xperia Play Optimized" in the description, because the physical gamepad actually does work perfectly in every parameter from map navigation to battles and menu navigation. The only thing is that it does not show up in the Xperia Play Game Launcher (best believe I will be leading a one-man assault on KEMCO's email about this ). But even more remarkable is that the same company who has claimed the throne for Engrish has magically stepped their game up big time in translation quality.

Despite the fact I check the Google PLAY store literally 3-5 times a week specifically for Kemco games you always seem to brat me... lol. Still though as I finally finished Symphony of Eternity (loved the new opening sequences) & End of Aspiration, I can continue with another Kemco game. Thanks for the find, going to go buy it now. Also, just to confirm it appears it is not Xperia PLAY optimized... hmm.. two new kemco games in a row with no XP support... trend perhaps?
Also, I have taken to their FaceBook page to ask about the optimization of this in the game launcher and saw your comment, and I seconded it...... Also for those who wish to email the mas well and or go to their FB page here is the info:

Circle = Pause/back in menus
Fire = done in game automatically when get lock on enemy's.
Don't think Xperia Play was in mined when herocraft made this, but for some reason the game knows to turn off accelerometer as not needed (this only happens on Xperia Play as not the same case with our Tabs + HID controller which accelerometer is still on).
Good find Poo-tang. Looks like a good wipeout type game.
In that video the sound effects remind me of the first extreme-G game, which is one of my faves so thanks
60FPS? Worth buying if I already have TurboFly HD?
Nice, good to know, can never have too many Wipeout clones. I wasn't gonna get this one since I just got Flashout 3D, but sounds like this is much better for our Plays.
I love wipeout, so is dis better than flashout 3D?

Both have good and bad points. I must admit Flashout looks slightly better graphical wise but let down by the music and lack of controls, it is a full on wipeout clone mostly straight line racing.
This however has slightly better music (more like what it's cloning) controls (fully working hardware support) but is really a mix of Wipeout, Extreme-G and F-Zero, straight line racing but with a big part being shooter/dogfighting.
Both games could do with more work as neither run as fast as turbofly but as both are only first releases their is scope for improvement down the line.
If people want a Wipeout clone I would just recommend the original which is still available for purchase here
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sony.playstation.NCEA00010_0
If want something new try these clones out but take them on their own merits as they (and others) can't be compared or come close to the classic.
