Has anybody from Rogers been able to upgrade their firmware through the LG Mobile support tool. I am still on v10c and when i try updating it is giving a message that i cannot update my model
Am I able to update my Rogers Optimus 3D to another firmware update other than V10c? It's been at V10c since I bought my phone, and the LG Updater still only shows V10c for Rogers... Is there a way I can update it to another version, that isn't from my carrier?
Hi
I just checked lg mx site nd they say there's an update available and that's v21a fw
going to update and they check the baseband for those who may want it, I just need to know how to extract it so you guys can flash it.
NOTE: this baseband may be similar to the one used by rogers canada
edit: trying to recover the phone from emergency or some crap like that. will let know as soon as the results are here, also if it gives me 3g again will upload the fw (if I get to know how)
argh false positive -.- we're still on v10a it sucks, I had v21a hate mexico
Hi
I bought a used T-Mobile P999 phone for my wife. After installing the LG Update tool on my laptop, it now has the latest baseband( March 2012) running the v21y version.
I then bought the P999 from Wind Mobile. I now know that the LG Updater Tool will not let me go about v11h.
I got a Stock Rom from the web for T Mobile P999 and flashed the Wind Phone. Everything was updated except the baseband which is still June 2011. Is there a way to basically clone my wife's T-mobile phone into my Wind Mobile phone? I tried updating only the Kdz file LG_KDZ_FW-Update_OfflineFix but I ran into some issues; not sure what I am not doing right but the update would not complete as described in the documentation.
I was running EaglesBlood 2.3.7 Rom until recently; however I was having frequent shutdowns lately, freezing when the alarm is snoozed, bluetooth freezing the phone ... I initially thought it was the ROM but now I realise that it is the baseband that needs to be addressed
Thanks in advance
Hi there,
I just bough an LG Flex 2 (H955), but the phone is Vodafone branded, thus the firmware is a little behind (still has V10c).
I tried to flash a North European version 10e, but the firmware did not change, although no errors showed up during the process (except a server error but the process continued). I tried to flash using LG FlashTool 2014.
What am I doing wrong?
The phone is running on Polish Orange network, on the box I found that is is a H955 VFD2 variant (whatever that means?).
New firmware wont help. Its piece of **** and nothing will fix it. I wish I never bought it.

It is normal.
The branded phones always indicate a less version, but this is the same version of software.
normal --- branded
V10c --- V10b
V10d --- V10c

Ok, but can I actually debrand the phone in any way?
Is there actually a point to do this? Will I get the software updates faster?

You can delete programs/start screen of Vodafone, but no the version. (system/op directory? I not sure. backup!!!)
When LG launched an upgrade, you upgrade with LG FlashTool 2014 and you do not have any problems with OTA
I assume I have to wait for a Vodafone firmware to be released?
I tried to flash one of the firmwares from the first post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/official-lg-h955-phone-firmware-t3090920
The process went fine, but the firmware did not change. Can there be a lock of sorts in place?
