[ROM][WIP]GG-ROM/build:bora(v1.06) - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 Android Development

Hello! This is my personal brewed ROM, the Good Game ROM (GG-ROM) for Samsung Galaxy Young GT-S5360!
Forewarn:
Your phone's warranty will be nullified upon installation of GG-ROM.
Install GG-ROM at your own risk. I will not be liable for any damages incurred upon the installation of the ROM. (I'll be responsible though whenever I brick my brother's phone because of this. :-D )
Backup, backup, backup! I also value the information stored in your device as you do. But as stated above, I will not be liable for any loss of valuable information incurred upon the installation of the ROM.
You have been warned! Ready to do some adventure? Read on!

Xperia Arc Launcher 2.0.A.0.22 with corners (like Xperia Mini) and three desktops
Roboto font
Google Music Player v4.1.511

Work in progress. Please bear!
How to install?
1. Backup your personal information.
2. Make sure your phone is on stock ROM before attempting to flash this. This is tested on 2.3.6 DXKL2. It may work on other stock 2.3.6 but it won't on custom ROMs. I tried this with Creed v2 and it wasn't installed properly even after wiping data.
3. Reboot into stock recovery by holding volume up + home + lock (power) buttons and load ClockWorkMod for Galaxy Y by madteam.
4. Make a Nandroid backup, considering that I haven't tested the firmware yet.
5. Wipe data and cache.
6. Install the GG-ROM through "-Install *.zip from SD Card".
7. Wipe data and cache.
8. Reboot and congratulations! Hope you guys liked it!
Issues:
When installing V6 SuperCharger on /system/etc/init.d, Link2SD mount warning at every cold boot appears, forcing the user to reboot the UI (warm boot). This can be solved by reflashing the ROM.
(v1.04) Samsung Keyboard is not working. It was fixed on v1.05 but if your too busy or lazy to update, gtklocker provided us the stock Sywpe keyboard. Install it as a normal APK.
(v1.05) ScreenCapture, Camera and Calculator applications are reportedly not working due to the compression.
Credit roll:
sakindia123 (for dsixda Android Kitchen tutorial for Sammies and some more support)
dsixda (for the Android Kitchen)
Slither2006 (for Xperia Arc Launcher)
yodeput (for root access)
Skin1980 and the madteam (for ClockWorkMod)
pratyush.creed (updater-script, init.d performance scripts, Google Maps, Google Music Player and Roboto font)
mai77 (for reporting the Samsung Keyboard issue to me immediately after v1.04 was released and compliments)
gtklocker (for the stock Swype and compliments)
And to everyone who tried and used the ROM. I love you guys!
In the works:
Continuous fixes of application FC issues due to corruption of APK's after compression.
I had exchanged my SGY to a Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini Pro on January 27 but I still have a device to test on. So development will be slow but continuous.
The next build will be named Bora. And I hope it'll be served before the love month ends, when I'm not busy.
Battery percentage at the notification bar.
Removing more widgets and useless applications.
ChainFire3D integration for game enthusiasts.
512HP Super Unleaded setting from V6 Supercharger.
More Init.d scripts.
Tun module for OpenVPN.
Roboto Thin font (experimental)
PS (Post-script or parting shot):
The objective of GG-ROM is to provide the cleaniest stock experience Galaxy Y users have never experienced before because of limitations imposed to TouchWiz UI. I see the Xperia Mini Launcher the best alternative to TouchWiz Launcher because of the app drawer (copied from iOS) and the shortcut corners.
Please do not compare my work with others. I mean I love Creed's ROM too as it is so advanced and well-themed than my ROM. Also, some features of Creed are also present here and I thank him for that.
Why only three homescreens instead of five? I bet many of us want to conserve battery and resources by means of using just necessary widgets.
One may mirror the ROM, provided that he will seek permission from me and when permitted, he will post it on this very thread so that he really helped others too.
As soon as my Android Kitchen for Windows tutorial is available, I will allow anyone to modify my ROM but with a responsibility of sharing it in this very thread.

hmm...lets see !

Objectives per build:
Bora - Stability over the previous version. Cleaner than stock DXLB1.
Crissy - Replacing some stock apps with Sony Ericsson ones modified for LDPI (permissions pending from concerned developers)
Dara - Two possibilities: updated stock or alpha MiUI v4 port (permissions pending from concerned developers for the latter)

anyways keep it up bro..
making something is better than nothing!

more people are needed for kernel

Thank you guys for the encouragement! I forgot to tell that I'm a total novice for this. Do I really need to learn Java? What I want to do is to pick and mix the features of a custom ROMs to my personal preference. Of course speed will be my top priority.
What particular file of the firmware should I edit? Is it PDA?
@dritchieboi, yes! I'll add that and ChainFire3D too.
@sakindia123, do you need testers? Then, I'll use your kernel then.
Again, thank you guys!

I'm here as a tester, tell me what to do and I'll do it, but I dont wanna brick my phone

@nick.oh, I own one so I can test it myself. If ever a semi-working version will be produced, then I'll upload it to the developers.
Anyways, is there a Filipino developer here?
EDIT: I just remembered sakindia123's tutorial of cooking ROMs for the SGSL using the Kitchen. So I'll just update my stock ROM to DXKL whenever I have time next week then proceed on customizing it.

any update on your work brother? and could you also customize the battery icon to have percentage on it. good luck though

I have extracted thd DXKL2 /system/ folder this morning. Will start modding tomorrow. Can you teach me how to modify the battery icon? Thanks!

Any offline method of installation? Well, it's much better if the battery percentage is added.

hey buddy. can you give me suggestions of what to use when I want to create a custom rom for SGY for personal use? what are the programs I need to use? I saw a thread saying virtual box is needed and linux ubuntu,.does it work for creating SGY ROMS?

Try dsixda's Kitchen.
Now poking with /system/. Deodexing. How can I add/remove applications? Just delete from the working folder itself?

kabayan ) go for the performance+looks hahah.
make a kernel!!

First page updated! Happy lunar new year developers!
@reineskye25, I guess. That's what I'm using right now as I don't want to switch to Linux because my working PC is my family laptop.
@musashihatred, making a kernel needs some knowledge in programming, especially in Java. I'm a librarian, not a programmer but interested to learn. That's why I'm starting at ROMs. Performance? Pwede (Maybe)! But looks? Hmm... I'll focus on speed first. But Xperia Active/Mini Launcher is good looking than TW that's why it'll be the launcher of choice on this ROM.
Anyways, attention devs! I need help on this:

Updated 9/5/2010 12:15AM,
NFX-Hero 2.2.1.update1 Deodex and ODEX
Formerly known as ZenHeroFX
You will now be able to use any kernel you want so enjoy the freedom!!! thanks
Changes:
Name and graphics changes
More Scripts added to GScript (enable and disable A2SD, Wired Tether, and more)
Added jbed java
Now wireless and wired tether supported (wired can be done by script or apk)
some more tweaks
modified Darktremor Apps2SD 2.7.5 RC3c for better porformance.
and includes the prior changes
Dalvik moved to Cache partition
KidFrame by PhilD41
to much to list, download and check it out
If you dont want to run A2SD this will have 130 megs free in Data after full install.
with A2sd running you will have 150 free in Data
Wired tether is now located on sdcard just use es to install from card. this is due to it not liking being built in
ok this was reworked once installed it will run at 710 for now till kernels are reworked again, this has the jit in it already but not enabled. this doesnt use zips anymore this uses scripts right from within the phone.
in the app drawer there is a program called Gscripts click it.
To setup your GScripts complete the following steps:
1. After opening GScript press the menu button and select "Add script"
2. A new window will open.
3. Press the Load file button
4. Select a script from the list (each is obviously named as to its function)
5. Ensure Needs SU? is checked
6. Now select "Save" and you have added your script
7. To run just select it from the list in the main GScript screen
8. You must reboot the phone for the change to take effect.
After running a script, just touch the screen to stop GScript from auto closing.
Very Special thanks to zach.xtr and his work on the Gsripts that made this possible
Highlights:
Dalvik moved to Cache partition ( approx 150 megs of space after rom installation)
And JIT that is actually Stable at this point of testing. This is due to having 130megs of space for dalvik to now run in.
This is still built on 2.1 but should be as good as it gets till we secure a Froyo port.
Odex (no themes, faster)
Deodex (themeable, slower)

NANDROID, NANDROID, NANDROID, I hope that is clear enough.
Remember I am aimed on the smoothest and fastest running system, anything beyond that is optional. I supply the JIT for the people that want to use it at their own risk. I have provided what I consider a great rom STOCK, with OC even better and for the few that JIT loves your phone, well hell it is just fun.
I however am not expecting everyone to be able to use jit this is why I include the ability to disable it also.
I have managed to get jit to run successfully on all roms, but it takes time sometimes it takes perfect others it might take 2 or 3 tries.
Special thanks to the People that where helping through the testing. There input was very valuable.

Stock speed for installs, kernels that work with my stock rom also work with this rom plus a new 691 listed above. Battery life should be very good as it has been tweaked to give best performance with minimal impact.
Looks good!
Does this mean your first ROM will be called HeroFX? It needs a name !

Thank you kind sir - gonna give it a try as I am running CM6 now.
Is there still a slight lockscreen lag with the overclocked kernel. Also is there any keyboard lag in the rom.

lag if any should be so minimal that it shouldnt be an issue for anyone. the lock screen runs extremely smooth.
flashing and now waiting for it to boot up..but what themes would work with this..because i always use this theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6209055&postcount=1

My first rom will remain as is , for the reason of people looking for stock rom, will easily distinguish that it is exactly that.

Well all the testing and 0 bad feed back so I decided to let her rip especially since beezy420 and I are working on a new port together and I am finishing my legend port soon hopefully, although it has been a major pain in teh ass. LOL
I didnt see it mentioned, and going to try the ROM anyway just for giggles...
just wondering, does this have VVM?
(the only feature I can't live w/o for long. ... and yes, I have tried GoogVoice, tyvm.)

I see that it has messed up icons in audio player. Also, does it have the bug where it shows the old bottom icons (non-espresso) before showing the newer mytouch3g style icons?

yes I am working on the icons in the music player, that is not a bug it is a backgraound that is displayed until it loads. I have managed to replace most of them, but not all yet, these will be corrected with a flashable patch that will not wipe the system.

Instructions:
How to flash? What do you need?
HTC Desire S S-OFF
Radio S-OFF in order to flash new radio (Radio not included in this MOD)
Recovery ClockworkMod (latest official build!)
When can we expect the next update?
As soon as i get time away from my busy schedule lol.. kids, work and the wife!
Can I update without losing all my apps and settings?
Yes, each release can be flashed without losing your data. But I recommend making a Nandroid Backup before updating/flashing.
I want to remove all Sense Related stuff, is this possible with this ROM or do i need to install a non-Sense related ROM?
I have attached a sense removal script with default launcher. Just run that through recovery and you should end up with a non-Sense ROM
After I loaded a new ROM and performed a restore, I have duplicate ringtones/notifications/alarms?
You can fix this by clearing the data of "Media Storage" (Menu->Setting->Applications->Manage applications->Media Storage->Clear data), then reboot.
How can i Change system/app/... apks skin or icons?
Since this Build is optimized and Odexed you will need too take some precautions. First you will need a APK Deodexed that you trying to change. Then from within the Build you will need to delete the apk and the respective odex file.
Example:
(Changes to the browser)
1. Inside Build system/App you will find Browser.apk and browser.odex you will need too delete both files.
2. You will need a browser.apk Deodexed which contains the Browser.apk & Browser.odex merged into one bigger Browser.apk
3. Make the changes and then push it to system/app (don't forget 1st step)
Another way would be to use an Android kitchen to deodex the entire system/app and then you will have the system/app deodexed then just change what you like.
I dont like the 4x5 app drawer in CoreDroidMoD 5.4 & 6.5, can i revert back to the 4x4? or I dont like the 5x5 app drawer in CoreDroidMoD 6.5
I have attached the 4x4 & 4x5 version to this post. Just flash it through recovery, reboot and wait for it to re-build the dalvik cache.
CoreDroidMoD_Rosie_4x4.zip for CoreDroidMoD v5.4 and
CoreDroidMoD_v6.5_Rosie_Trans.zip for CoreDroidMoD v6.5
CoreDroid_Desire_S_V6.6_Rosie_Trans - 4x5
Im not too keen on the keyboard in this ROM, can i get the stock one back?
Just flash this zip through recovery, reboot and wait for it to re-build the dalvik cache.
I dont the like the included fonts, is there anyway i can restore the stock fonts?
Just flash CoreDroidMod Stock Fonts zip through recovery, reboot and wait for it to re-build the dalvik cache.
Should I use a task killer?
Task Killers are NOT advised! They do nothing but kill your battery and stop processes that aren't supposed to be stopped. Besides Task Killer tweaks have already been applied to the ROM
However i have attached the Sense 3.0 HTC Task Manager if you feel the need to have one. Just flash it through recovery, reboot and wait for it to re-build the dalvik cache. USE ONLY WITH CoreDroidMoD v5.4 and NOT CoreDroidMoD v6.5!
Is there anything else i can do to improve battery?
You can disable "Tell HTC" and "OTA Software Updates" found in about phone > software information. You can also set your phone to use 2g and alternate it to 3g when you need to. Also if you dont use Stocks, News, Hub or HTC Like you can uninstall or freeze these using Titanium Backup (freeze only available in the pro version!).
How come I get low Quadrant scores on GB ROMs?
This is mainly because there aren't any custom kernels yet. We're using a stock GB kernel without tweaks or OC.
Are there custom kernels for GB ROMs?
No not yet. The source code for GB kernels has been released. So it's a matter of time now before we can get to use these.

However i have disabled "Tell HTC" and "OTA Software Updates"
I also "froze" stocks, news, htc like and few other apps i dont use with TB and i charged my handset overnight and in the morning at approx 7a.m rebooted in recovery and deleted battery stats and then recharged it.

I think im going to re-release the complete ROM today with the fixes implemented.
Updated 1st Post with Latest Rom.

Sorry i took it down as i noticed i didnt update some notification images which i thought i did lol..
Fixing it now.
Looks like your the only one using it.
Trying to get my device s-off'd but it will take a couple of weeks as I'll have to probably send my phone away as I can't afford to buy an Xtc clip , also have a busy time at work so can't go with out phone just now
So hopefully by the time you've got the initial issues sorted out with the rom I'll be able to flash it too.
Can't wait, don't give up, reckon more and more people will need your rom in time

You can always flash loveboatcaptains LBC rom which has the default theme i believe.

I tested the rom. Everything looks very good. I dont like the keyboard but i changed it. There is not any problem. Wifi bt and everything is fully working. I only see a problem: the rom is a bit laggy. It is not as smooth as others and you can find this when you change app screens or desktop screens. I had a 2700 score in antutu that is not so much but is ok. The theme is awesome. I like it too much. Hope my intervention is helpful. Congratulations chip

[ODEXED MODS](4.0.4 ATT) altODEXed "The Stock Monster" (v0.1 - NOV06.12)

It's baack... and updated for ICS.
***THESE MODS WILL ONLY WORK ON MB865 OFFICIAL AT&T ODEXED ICS 4.0.4 (..at this time - subject to change)***

Basically, what we have here is a bunch of system files from Numa vB.2, re-odexed for those on Stock ODEXED AT&T ICS (or StockyEd).
What's included?:
-1% battery increments
-toggles at bottom of pulldown shade
-Blackberry 10 lockscreen mod
-Windows Phone 7 style Recent apps screen mod
-tap menu key to open lockscreen
-unplug usb turns screen on
-supercharger-patched services.jar
-jb framework animations
-maybe others..(?)
(Please note that I was only going for the 1% batt, toggles, and lockscreen separately, but they are all tied together - give me some time to split them up and make them more stock-esque)
DOWNLOAD HERE
-Make a backup first!! (In case you want to go back)
-Wipe dalvik cache and cache
-Install zip from sdcard
Files that will be changed:
SystemUI.apk
SystemUI.odex
framework-res.apk
android.policy.odex
framework-ext.odex
services.odex
I know, it was kind of a lazy route (just grabbing the files from Numa), and backwards compared with the original metamorphosis of the Stock Monster into Romulus, and later Remus.. but, I was just glad to have finally figured out the re-odexing thing... again.
Old OP:
***PROJECT MOVED TO ROMULUS***
Links are still up and there is some good info buried in this post, so I will leave everything here for the time being.
NOTICE: THIS MOD PACKAGE DOES NOT WORK ON SOME INTERNATIONAL VERSIONS OF THE ATRIX 2 (POSSIBLY DUE TO MIS-MATCHES IN THE FRAMEWORK FILES - TRY ROMULUS INSTEAD, IT WILL REPLACE YOUR ENTIRE FRAMEWORK)
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
Origins of The Stock Monster:
This started out as a small personal project, then quickly grew out of my hands and formed a life of it's own... So, I decided it was time to release it out into the wild...
Theatrics aside... the truth is that basically, until now, there were no cool features like pulldown toggles, 1% batteries, reboot options, or any theme changes available to stock odexed rooted A2 users - those things only came with deodexed custom roms and mods for deodexed systems only (frankly, because it's a lot easier to mod a deodexed rom, and it makes updates simpler). But, I like a challenge (no offense or jabs at the great ROM builders we have got for the A2 - my hat's off to them - it is seriously amazing and hard work that these guys are putting into their creations)... Also, I tend to go more with the theory of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" - meaning that Android odexes the system for a reason - not sure if it's to hide away them there smali files to make it more difficult for people like us to mess with their stuff, or if it is truly for performance purposes only.
Nonetheless, I offer odexed users "The Stock Monster"...
MODS included:
~vertical battery w/ 1% increments
~quick-panel (dropdown) toggles
~reboot option in power menu
~carrier name removed
~menu button unlocks screen
~unplug turns on screen
~HSPA data distinguishable (?able)
~lightly themed (black, grey & stock)
~possibly more to come...
NOTE: This is based on Stock Odexed US AT&T MB865 2.3.6, and will probably not work on any other builds.
All mods/themes here were done by me, except: the 1% batt and quick-panel toggles - those I basically ported from the stuff I put together for VictoryROM (1% batt originally from JRW 28's set, I think - still not sure who to credit for all of the xml/smali edits on those; quick-panel toggles originally from SC rom maybe (?), icons are MIUI, I believe - had to GIMP a couple of the "-ing" images though)
Big thanks to all the devs/builders/themers/modders and otherwise helpful folks here on xda.
Feel free to PM me with any specific questions about these mods, I'd be happy to share what I have learned in the process.

This is still a work in progress... I plan on updating this post as I go along modding/themeing my (currently) odexed phone.
Extras:
See this post for the rotating/landscape homescreen mod and removal zip (make sure you download the proper ODEXED packages).
***EDIT (5/11/12 early AM)*** Now things are getting interesting...
Though I've read plenty of "TUT's" and "HOW-TO's" on the whole deodexing, modding, then re-odexing thing (all of which helped, no doubt), and tried many different methods, approaches, and random pot-shots... it all finally came together and made sense after I found a link to this tutorial. Ironically, I was not researching default orientations, and I kind of skillfully winged it a bit.. but it worked well in the end. If anyone is interested in pursuing modding odexed files (it's not necessary to deodex for most themeing), you'll need the attached dexopt-wrapper file (unzip the zip first) on your phone in /system/bin with 755 permissions:
X....X
X....X
***EDIT (5/12/12 - v1.0)
Included homescreen rotation mod, and more unified black/grey theme (i.e. the "notifications" bar in the dropdown, pop-up headers, and re-did the shade handle, etc). I'll get back to working on the pulldown toggles soon..
***EDIT (5/13/12 early AM again - v2.0)
Got them dropdown toggles in there , and, by chance, I stumbled across and enabled HSPA data recognition, so maybe you can see an H+ icon now (?? - modded, but not verified).
Note: To actually enable HSPA data and get speed increases (I just flipped a switch in the SystemUI.apk to make it "distinguishable"), you will need to add or edit the following lines in your build.prop file:
ro.ril.hsxpa=2
thank you. i hope you keep going with this.

is there an advantage to being odexed? why not just go with a deodexed rom? Nice work still!
My guess would be that all the Motorola extras like Widgets and Homescreen still work with an odexed ROM. Motorola did make one heck of a ROM in my opinion.

Technically an odexed ROM should be a bit more zippy than a deodexed ROM although I've never noticed a difference. Also an odexed ROM boots faster on the first boot or whenever you wipe the dalvik cache.

That's a big debate on some other threads/sites.. but, deodexing makes it a helluva lot easier to mod/theme. In my limited experience (and, therefore, stating this very vaguely), you need to deodex to get at and edit the smali files (I had to deodex, then reodex a few jar files for the batt and reboot mods) - but a lot of other mods/themes can be done (xmls, 9-patch, etc.) on the odexed apks with no prob.
And, why not just deodex? Well, it does definitely boot faster, hands down,on odexed.. and it's questionably more stable (that's very debatable)... plus i figure the devs at android and moto kinda know what they're doing
Sent from my mind using XDA
Updated OP: added dropdown toggles and hspa mod (not sure about the hspa, but we'll see)... I am partially satisfied now that I got the drop toggles odexed... maybe more to come (theme work, tweaking, etc)...
I've just done a full CWM backup, but specifically what files need to be backed up? Which ones get changed?
The End.

Just open the zip and look inside the app and framework folders.. all of those apk, jar, and odex files will be replaced..
And yea, i often just pull stable current copies of the files that will be replaced and put them in a nice little restore.zip before i flash something new (and have cwm on boot installed, of course), in case something goes wrong or I don't the changes.. pm me if you need a hand making those signed zip packages..
Or you could always push them back with adb as long as you have copies.. or restore /system only with cwm...

This phone runs stable with deodexed or odexed. I haven't had any issues with either. On my Samsung infuse its like night and day. Odexed roms on it are more stable, less problems. Deodexed roms are snappier and easier to theme because the odex file is gone but the phone itself will have issues (random reboots is the major one). I don't know if that helped but i tried.

Are you guys struggling to get good performance on Jelly Bean?
Are you sick of cleaning up the system after flashing a new ROM?
Do you want to do something simple like surfing the internet, without having to watch the battery percentage going down with every second??
Then this ROM is for you lazy bums. From the developer of Badass Kernel, coming with a hell lot of tweaking, a clean system, a new kernel and a stupid "commercial-like" introduction, this ROM will make sure you get out your phone every 2 minutes just to admire its coolness.
So, getting into serious business..
This rom is based on CM10.1.0 nightly and my Badass Kernel.
Features:
24-step Volume
Zipaligned and fully optimized system apps
Apps2SD integrated with zipaligning everytime a non-zipaligned app is installed
Clean system, stripped of unnecesary libs and apps
PureAudio engine tweaked to work with any equalizer (you gotta try DSPManager's Bass Boost now)
Dolby Virtualizer activated at boot through snd2354 binary
Youtube app with MP3 and Video download integrated
Patched Services for better multitasking
Updated Superuser and Zipalign binaries
Eliminated SMS-to-MMS conversion when reaching 160 characters, added message pop-up
Latest Multi-DPI Playstore included in GApps version
Android's Native Task Killer values tweaked (no need for minfree script or ram manager)
zRam, zCache and Kernel Samepage Merging fully working and activated(no need for swap anymore)
Perfect Keyboard
Undervolt, Underclock, Triple Buffer and all the other modifications present in my kernel
Really lightweight modified Zeam Launcher
Gapps included
New fonts optimized for LDPI resolution
New proprietary theme
LMT Launcher Pie Control
Smoother SystemUI animations (you have to apply Lenio theme to get these, I can't integrate them in the system yet)
v3
Replaced Perfect Keyboard with zipaligned LatinIME
Added NexMusic player
Resized zRam disk
Tweaked LowMemoryKiller parameters
Enabled vSync(hopefully)
Added Smooth Scrolling in framework.jar
Set correct permissions to /sd-ext folders inside the A2SD script
Updated kernel to 1.6.1
Added LowBattery Powersave feature for Badass governor
Badass parameters are more performance biased now
Recalculated Frame Buffer Size for Triple Buffering
Clean-up(remove deprecated CPU governors)
Backport Adaptive RED Net Scheduler from 3.4 kernel
Replace Snappy Compression with the much faster LZ4 Compressor for zRam
v4
Rebase on latest CM10.1.0
Update compcache script(now zRam can be activated from Settings->Performance->Memory Management, it is not activated by default anymore, but it is recommended that you enable it)
Integrate StatusBar smooth animations in the framework. The theme is just for whoever likes the look now.
Whole system Odex-ed
Update kernel to latest version
vQuattro 30/06
Update base to latest CM10.1 nightly
Add Touchpal with LDPI optimized theme

Those are known bugs. The first two, because of the font, and it is present only in DeskClock. But I assumed that it's not such a big thing. If it bothers you that much, you can simply replace my rom's fonts folder with the original AOKP one.
That 0.00B ram is a visual flaw. Check with other Task managers. You will always see 60-80MB free RAM. And that's a lot.
I rebased the whole ROM in hope of fixing the camera issue. So redownload and report. Droider might be right, I think it is a libs problem too. I think my diff tool is broken because it didn't show any differences in libs folder.
Thanks for all your support guys. I'm glad you're so involved in this and don't throw eggs and tomatoes at me for every little mistake. I don't like excuses(but I'm good at them) but you already know I don't have a Galaxy Fit so I'm counting on your reports to make a good ROM.
I won't be around here much because I'm preparing for my exams, so I'll respond kinda rarely.
PS: If the camera is still not fixed, it might be a kernel problem.

The process of odexing creates some odex files which contain some references to the bootclasspath of the system. The bootclasspath consists of some framework files among which is found the services.jar file too. Editing one single file of the framework will f*ck up all the odexed apps.
Other limitation is that you can't baksmali an odex file, you have to reodex the classes.dex to disassemble it and modify it.
But why do you want to edit services.jar? It is already patched with zeppelinrox Supercharger. And the Multi-DPI Playstore is already included in the ROM. Please read the first post, it's all written there.
Its Cool...!!!
Just Installed The Rom Its Awesome...!!!
Plz Can U Tell Me Is There Any Need Of Using Terminal For Odexing The Rom

Not anymore. The whole system is odexed. But the Odex script and binaries are still present in case you add new system apps and want them odexed. For this you will need to enter "dexo -sys" command.
Looks nice
Nice ROM, Alin. Keep up the work. !
