Are you guys struggling to get good performance on Jelly Bean?
Are you sick of cleaning up the system after flashing a new ROM?
Do you want to do something simple like surfing the internet, without having to watch the battery percentage going down with every second??
Then this ROM is for you lazy bums. From the developer of Badass Kernel, coming with a hell lot of tweaking, a clean system, a new kernel and a stupid "commercial-like" introduction, this ROM will make sure you get out your phone every 2 minutes just to admire its coolness.
So, getting into serious business..
This rom is based on CM10.1.0 nightly and my Badass Kernel.
Features:
24-step Volume
Zipaligned and fully optimized system apps
Apps2SD integrated with zipaligning everytime a non-zipaligned app is installed
Clean system, stripped of unnecesary libs and apps
PureAudio engine tweaked to work with any equalizer (you gotta try DSPManager's Bass Boost now)
Dolby Virtualizer activated at boot through snd2354 binary
Youtube app with MP3 and Video download integrated
Patched Services for better multitasking
Updated Superuser and Zipalign binaries
Eliminated SMS-to-MMS conversion when reaching 160 characters, added message pop-up
Latest Multi-DPI Playstore included in GApps version
Android's Native Task Killer values tweaked (no need for minfree script or ram manager)
zRam, zCache and Kernel Samepage Merging fully working and activated(no need for swap anymore)
Perfect Keyboard
Undervolt, Underclock, Triple Buffer and all the other modifications present in my kernel
Really lightweight modified Zeam Launcher
Gapps included
New fonts optimized for LDPI resolution
New proprietary theme
LMT Launcher Pie Control
Smoother SystemUI animations (you have to apply Lenio theme to get these, I can't integrate them in the system yet)
v3
Replaced Perfect Keyboard with zipaligned LatinIME
Added NexMusic player
Resized zRam disk
Tweaked LowMemoryKiller parameters
Enabled vSync(hopefully)
Added Smooth Scrolling in framework.jar
Set correct permissions to /sd-ext folders inside the A2SD script
Updated kernel to 1.6.1
Added LowBattery Powersave feature for Badass governor
Badass parameters are more performance biased now
Recalculated Frame Buffer Size for Triple Buffering
Clean-up(remove deprecated CPU governors)
Backport Adaptive RED Net Scheduler from 3.4 kernel
Replace Snappy Compression with the much faster LZ4 Compressor for zRam
v4
Rebase on latest CM10.1.0
Update compcache script(now zRam can be activated from Settings->Performance->Memory Management, it is not activated by default anymore, but it is recommended that you enable it)
Integrate StatusBar smooth animations in the framework. The theme is just for whoever likes the look now.
Whole system Odex-ed
Update kernel to latest version
vQuattro 30/06
Update base to latest CM10.1 nightly
Add Touchpal with LDPI optimized theme
Change SMS Popup layout
Re-think services.jar values for better performance in detriment of multitasking
Adjust minfree values to suit the new services.jar values
Add Now Playing player
Re-optimize apps with a higher threshold of optimizing(goddamn, this took 6 hours)
Take down the NoGapps version to avoid weird bugs(to get a NoGapps version, just delete everything that starts with Google in /system/app after boot)
Update kernel to 1.8
Add SIOPlus scheduler (finally something equal or better than deadline)
Add CPU Idle driver to support C4 Deeper Sleep state
Add Wheatley governor to make more use of the new C4 state.
Change Bootsplash
Screens:
Download:
Lenio vQuattro.zip - 107.67 MB
Installation:
Copy the flashable zip to sdcard
Wipe data
Flash in recovery
Reboot and wait 5-10 minutes for the first boot
Change CPU governor to Badass or Smartass to get rid of the lag
Apply Lenio theme in ThemeChooser for a fresh new layout
Be amazed!
PRO Tips:
Use SmartassH3 or Badass with 68-652 MHz and Deadline I/O for good performance/battery balance
Enable zRam in Settings->Performance->Memory Management
Disable logging and notifications in both SuperSU and Setting->Superuser for a performance boost
Check Disable HW Overlays in Developer Options (NOTE:This option resets at every boot)
Install CrossBreeder from my kernel's thread
..to be continued

I'm getting geeksm at the moment dude. I mean, consider me a serious big fan of your kernel and it was a big surprise that you finally ported your kernel. and then this. I was constantly snapping my fingers whether to port your ROM. xD man if only the webs has a teleporting device I'd send you a beer! Hands down mate, this will be my daily driver. Can't wait to get home and start downloading! Keep it up mate!

Those are known bugs. The first two, because of the font, and it is present only in DeskClock. But I assumed that it's not such a big thing. If it bothers you that much, you can simply replace my rom's fonts folder with the original AOKP one.
That 0.00B ram is a visual flaw. Check with other Task managers. You will always see 60-80MB free RAM. And that's a lot.
I rebased the whole ROM in hope of fixing the camera issue. So redownload and report. Droider might be right, I think it is a libs problem too. I think my diff tool is broken because it didn't show any differences in libs folder.
Thanks for all your support guys. I'm glad you're so involved in this and don't throw eggs and tomatoes at me for every little mistake. I don't like excuses(but I'm good at them) but you already know I don't have a Galaxy Fit so I'm counting on your reports to make a good ROM.
I won't be around here much because I'm preparing for my exams, so I'll respond kinda rarely.
PS: If the camera is still not fixed, it might be a kernel problem.

The process of odexing creates some odex files which contain some references to the bootclasspath of the system. The bootclasspath consists of some framework files among which is found the services.jar file too. Editing one single file of the framework will f*ck up all the odexed apps.
Other limitation is that you can't baksmali an odex file, you have to reodex the classes.dex to disassemble it and modify it.
But why do you want to edit services.jar? It is already patched with zeppelinrox Supercharger. And the Multi-DPI Playstore is already included in the ROM. Please read the first post, it's all written there.

Its Cool...!!!
Just Installed The Rom Its Awesome...!!!
Plz Can U Tell Me Is There Any Need Of Using Terminal For Odexing The Rom

Not anymore. The whole system is odexed. But the Odex script and binaries are still present in case you add new system apps and want them odexed. For this you will need to enter "dexo -sys" command.

Looks nice
Nice ROM, Alin. Keep up the work. !

Nice Rom
Everything is perfect , fast , beautiful
Just need some resizing in phone app

[ROM] NFX-Hero 2.2.1.update1, 9/5/2010 Friendstream+Deodexed/ODEX+JIT & more

Updated 9/5/2010 12:15AM,
NFX-Hero 2.2.1.update1 Deodex and ODEX
Formerly known as ZenHeroFX
You will now be able to use any kernel you want so enjoy the freedom!!! thanks
Changes:
Name and graphics changes
More Scripts added to GScript (enable and disable A2SD, Wired Tether, and more)
Added jbed java
Now wireless and wired tether supported (wired can be done by script or apk)
some more tweaks
modified Darktremor Apps2SD 2.7.5 RC3c for better porformance.
and includes the prior changes
Dalvik moved to Cache partition
KidFrame by PhilD41
to much to list, download and check it out
If you dont want to run A2SD this will have 130 megs free in Data after full install.
with A2sd running you will have 150 free in Data
Wired tether is now located on sdcard just use es to install from card. this is due to it not liking being built in
ok this was reworked once installed it will run at 710 for now till kernels are reworked again, this has the jit in it already but not enabled. this doesnt use zips anymore this uses scripts right from within the phone.
in the app drawer there is a program called Gscripts click it.
To setup your GScripts complete the following steps:
1. After opening GScript press the menu button and select "Add script"
2. A new window will open.
3. Press the Load file button
4. Select a script from the list (each is obviously named as to its function)
5. Ensure Needs SU? is checked
6. Now select "Save" and you have added your script
7. To run just select it from the list in the main GScript screen
8. You must reboot the phone for the change to take effect.
After running a script, just touch the screen to stop GScript from auto closing.
Very Special thanks to zach.xtr and his work on the Gsripts that made this possible
Highlights:
Dalvik moved to Cache partition ( approx 150 megs of space after rom installation)
And JIT that is actually Stable at this point of testing. This is due to having 130megs of space for dalvik to now run in.
This is still built on 2.1 but should be as good as it gets till we secure a Froyo port.
Odex (no themes, faster)
Deodex (themeable, slower)

NANDROID, NANDROID, NANDROID, I hope that is clear enough.
Remember I am aimed on the smoothest and fastest running system, anything beyond that is optional. I supply the JIT for the people that want to use it at their own risk. I have provided what I consider a great rom STOCK, with OC even better and for the few that JIT loves your phone, well hell it is just fun.
I however am not expecting everyone to be able to use jit this is why I include the ability to disable it also.
I have managed to get jit to run successfully on all roms, but it takes time sometimes it takes perfect others it might take 2 or 3 tries.
Special thanks to the People that where helping through the testing. There input was very valuable.
beezy420, Papa Smurf151, regaw_leinad, urushiol, chromiumleaf, cp0020, sekarpdkt, whatsleft4her, and darrick913. If I missed anyone please let me know so I can give credit where it is due.

Stock speed for installs, kernels that work with my stock rom also work with this rom plus a new 691 listed above. Battery life should be very good as it has been tweaked to give best performance with minimal impact.
Looks good!
Does this mean your first ROM will be called HeroFX? It needs a name !

Thank you kind sir - gonna give it a try as I am running CM6 now.
Is there still a slight lockscreen lag with the overclocked kernel. Also is there any keyboard lag in the rom.

lag if any should be so minimal that it shouldnt be an issue for anyone. the lock screen runs extremely smooth.

I didnt see it mentioned, and going to try the ROM anyway just for giggles...
just wondering, does this have VVM?
(the only feature I can't live w/o for long. ... and yes, I have tried GoogVoice, tyvm.)

I see that it has messed up icons in audio player. Also, does it have the bug where it shows the old bottom icons (non-espresso) before showing the newer mytouch3g style icons?

yes I am working on the icons in the music player, that is not a bug it is a backgraound that is displayed until it loads. I have managed to replace most of them, but not all yet, these will be corrected with a flashable patch that will not wipe the system.

Puik werk ;-)
With Dharam's multiboot kernel, I can test all main
roms available at almost the same time. Yours is
the fastest and most stable until now. It's even
better than Kyrillos rom at the moment. And that is
really an accomplishment. I like also the design,
though there are some small glitches here and
there. Also an extended powermenu would be
welcome.
All by all a masterpiece of simplicity.
Just still waiting for Dharam's G3mod rom v2 as
last rom to compare with.

Hi werker123,
Thanks for this ROM. It rocks! I was happy with Destiny 1.2 until a month ago or so, when I got the itch to upgrade . I've had a bad time - Kyrillos 7.0 was a disaster for me (probably because I did something wrong, no insult to kyrillos13). But finding DutchMods 3.0 has got me smiling again! It's fast, everything works as I expect, and it installed like a dream.
I used Titanium Backup to uninstall Swype and then installed the latest Swype beta which is really nice, but after a while it started force closing and I had to revert. I've seen that on other ROMs as well, it's probably Swype's fault.
Thanks again,
Rob.

Hey guys this is my first public showing so please be easy on me. This Rom is based off the latest CM and has been highly optimized for speed and stability. I have not done any theming to this rom as Theme chooser combined with the ADW launcher offer a vast array of themes for you to choose from. I have spent countless hours trying to discern the best combinations of Oom settings, low mem values, cache pressure, heap size and many other tweaks and optimizations. I opted to include as many of these settings/values into the actual boot.img's ram disk in the init.rc & init.supersonic.rc, rather than through init.d. I feel there is benefit in having pre-existing parameters rather than relying on a script to hack in the tweaks.
This ROM is for all the people who love aosp but may not have the ability or know how to mod and tweak themselves. I designed this to have the best "out of the box performance" available for our device, while retaining functionality and reliability. Satisfaction Guaranteed or your money back.

Additional screens/settings
Please feel free to let me know what you think, any problems you may encounter, or requests that you may have.
For optimum user experience and an incredibly snappy interface please do the following with your rom set up.
Set SD read ahead as mentioned in OP.
In "Spare Parts" turn both "Window & Transition animations" to fast, or even better, off completely.
In ADW settings/Screen Preferences/Desktop scrolling speed/ set to 0 (zero).
Performing these steps will drastically speed up the ui with this adw launcher.
Additional screens
My personal gaming settings by request-
1) Kill any other background app before gaming.
2) Clear cache (I use system tuner for both the above)
3) Ensure SD read ahead is set to 4096 (This should be done regardless, sorry will fix next release)
4) In settings/cyanogen settings/performance/cpu settings/set min cpu to 1036 max to 1152 governor to performance DO NOT check set at boot
5) play game
Now for quads things are a bit different. Let me start off by saying that in real world day to day use, quads mean absolutely nothing and are in no way a representation of a quality user experience for a given rom. I use quadrant standard to test different tweaks I have made. I do this in a very controlled way. Make all runs on a fresh install having only signed in to google account and cancel sync manually through settings/accounts & sync. All the parameters for gaming settings above are used, in addition go to settings/cyanogen settings/ uncheck "surface dithering" (this helps 2D frame rates), check "Use 16 bit transparency" (this will help 3D performance.. minutely), reboot. Allow device to rest for 30 minutes, reboot phone, allow 30 more minutes at rest with screen off. Run quadrant standard, five runs back to back recording score for each, then average those numbers. Close app, 30 minute rest, repeat, this is done five times, I then average all my "averaged" scores. Currently on the rom available for download in op my running average with these steps is 1640.
I have found that with out fail my phone, hw 0004, will ALWAYS have the best score on my fourth run. Unless I make more than 5 runs then number 7 is king. The screenshot in the op is from a seventh run.
Nice! Sounds like a great rom. Welcome to Dev land!

Actually, no COD is not baked in, nor are any init.d scripts other than dta2sd. Feel free mod and tweak at will. I also did not include any of Papa's build.prop tweaks. I'm pretty sure that his script checks for repetitions and corrects, so you would be safe there as well. You ought to run it stock for a bit before you determine what tweeks to incorporate. It may pleasantly surprise you.

Downloading, will test. This includes several 4.2 mods (screenshots show 4.2 clock, camera, and others). Could you please list exactly what from 4.2 is included?
Looks awesome. Downloading...
I feel like most, if not all, of your rom's features are included in PmR (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wxLDMsImNvbS5hbmRyb2d1aWRlLnBpbXAubXkucm9tIl0.) and 4.2 stuff can be installed using multipack++ (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1960483). What else is new?
Is the VPN (say PPTP or IPSEC) with the same version? As before we already seen that VPN not worked on CM9 and CM10 as well.
Can somebody please confirm us whether its working or not?
Anyways thanks in advance.:good:

I had this problem on another rom, think i had to do a factory reset in bootmenu and maybe install gaps again.

awesome...
did rom support invert gapps?
I flashed this rom twice, both times i wiped data/cache/dalvik but i dont have gsm network at all..from the little i could see,rom is very very fluid..
My considerations so far:
ROM is fast and smooth, sometimes hangs for a sec or two, but nothing significant (also, since I'm using a custom kernel, I can't tell for sure what the cause is). Had a random reboot while restoring apps with Titanium Backup (again, may be kernel's fault - I had some serious hot reboot issues whilst trying the first version of this kernel), but everything else went fine.
I gathered a few benchmarks (I have several benchmark apps, but the ones below are the only ones I had a clue of the previous results), if anyone is interested. See below.
Benchmark Pi on CMX nov 28: http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4580/screenshot2012121310374.png
Benchmark Pi on this ROM: http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/6038/screenshot2012121310382.png
AnTuTu on CMX nov 28: http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/3075/screenshot2012121310391.png
AnTuTu on this ROM: http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/9826/screenshot2012121310462.png
Quadrant on this ROM (I don't have results for CMX, but it was somewhere between 1600 and 1800): http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/2802/screenshot2012121310514.png
In both AnTuTu and BM, the results are better than on CMX. On Quadrant, CMX was going better. Anyway, I just did a fresh install, and my phone feels fast and smooth, plus I have many 4.2 features. I'll stick to this ROM for a while, if nothing better (like full-functioning CMX+) comes.
EDIT--
Forgot to add: can't tell if it's the animation speed or if it's real, but boot time seems longer than CMX nov 28. Also, I'm having a serious issue with Usage Timelines Free (a per-app CPU usage monitoring tool), which shows 0% for all processes (which I know isn't true because killing Download Manager - the process which ALWAYS CPU-leaks to me, since CM9, even if it's showing 0% usage, cuts the CPU usage from 100% to around 10-15%)
Same here

and link to quraxs latest nightly for defy i saw directory of qurax but it is 10.1 for defy plus mb 526
Its like in Quarx´s CM10. The Rom boot automatically in the 2ndboot mode.
Youve to flash the gapps. Have a look
I recommend the latest 20121206 gapps. (The OP had no time to update the 1st post)

What's the nature of the init.d GPU script? I mean, what it does?

improves performance on 2D / 3D Games, better reaction and less lag
sry for my english xD
This is a great Rom. I only dont like it because it doesn't have the email app which is terrible because Hotmail app is terrible. Using the Rom and I can tell that is is very fluid, except when trying to catch up with my texting expertise.
Thanks for the great Rom. Please consider integrating the mail app in next release
