Looking for a signature app, is there one? - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

Maybe I worded that wrong but I want an app to where you could pull up something on your screen and use a stylus like a pen and write your name and date on, then save and print it later.
If there is something like this out there then my transformer is now my Ultimate Business Companion and the poster is my new best friend!

not quite sure what you are asking for but i believe that you could just use supernote to do what you want.

DocuSign Ink. It's in the Market, but my postcount is too low to put up a link.

Yes, that's it.

just what Im lookin for!!! Thanks x infinity!!

DocuSign allows you to sign documents which is great, but only keeps YOUR details on file.
Is there a similar app which allows you to capture a client's signature as well, without costing $15/month for a subscription?
Cheers

Nice

Couldn't you just hand the tablet and stylus to the client right after you sign and ask the client to sign, much like you would with a paper form? ezpdf is also a good app if the document is in pdf format.

Note Taking Program ~ Finger Friendly

Guys,
I'm looking for a decent 'Note Taking Program' and was wondering what you would recommend for the HD2?
What I need is something that I can drop into the favorites on the Home Tab.
Some of the Note Taking Programs don't appear to look 'finger friendly' so I suppose that would have to be the main criteria.
Thanks in advance.
I've been just using the inbuilt Notes app to draw/write my notes. Not perfect, but it gets me by for the time being. until someone creates a good touch based one.

Are you talking of the OneNote App?
Only trouble with OneNote for the Phone is it's not a 'finger-friendly' application (as in I can't find a way to draw directly on the screen).
Thanks..
I think he means notes
( think its in a folder called Outlook, otherwise /windows )

it's not that brilliant on the HD2, but you can get by with it.
I was going to suggest PhatPad, I mean c'mon what could *sound* any more finger friendly? but it's not that good

Yes... I agree with both Nighthawk and your good self. It's not that good of a program.
You can't really do any 'finger-writing' properly unless you have the zoom at max (which then hampers it's use as a quick note taking program).
Nice to have the audio recorder there though...... but ohh do I so wish there were something better.
Would to know one as well!!! Need to take notes!
Think this may be what you are looking for! Very simple, very small file size, very finger friendly and freeware plus it looks alot better on our HD2's than what it looks like on the authors web site! Cab attached.

You can get evernote for windows mobile. I'm just about to try it out.

Agree......Nice one Nighthawk.
I too have been searching for a much friendlier art tool. This could well be it.
I know we are going off-topic here (deserves it's own topic) but one thing I like is it's not cluttered, quite simplistic but very good at dynamic drawing.
The only thing I have noticed that needs addressing is when you role back any mistakes (unlimited Undo), any ink that was drawn on screen outside of the 'Undo' box is left on screen and you can't get rid of it.
Did you notice this too Nighthawk?
Edited:
I've just sent off a message to DynaInk Support explaining the above problem.

It is sort of strange. When I was using WM5, the OneNote can draw. In fact it defaults to draw. So everytime I need to switch mode to type text. Now in HD2, I can't find a way to draw anything.
PS: the version I currently have on WM5 is 12.0.4518.1010; the version that came with HD2 is 12.0.4518.1155. However, neither of them can draw! I am still trying to dig up where I got the draw-able OneNote on WM5.

in my post you were replying to.
But maybe I was mistaken. The drawing application I used was the Outlook Note program, which also exists on HD2. However, the line drawings are very ugly.
While trying to use EverNote again (last time I tried it on Windows), I notice the forum messages on EverNote for WM and decided I had better stay away from this software.

Polaris Office app

I feel I should tell people who do a lot of word, ppt, excel that the Polaris Office app that comes preinstalled on TF is much SUPERIOR to quickoffice hd pro that supposedly is designed for tablets. The words are mixed up and ppt sides that I use in my word documents don't show up clearly on quickoffice, but they run perfectly fine on Polaris, so don't rush into buying an office suite for your TF, because Polaris gets the job done well.
Thanks for passing that info on. One reason I want a TF over the Acer or Xoom is because it comes with that software.
hi there. have you guys have any idea how to insert an image (eg from my gallery) into an excel spreadsheet in the said app? There dont seem to be any option to do that. I even searched the Polaris website for help, but to no avail.
For everyone interested, I just this morning updated my Office Suite comparison over in the XOOM forum to include Polaris Office (PowerPoint only for now). The link is in my signature. I will update the Word and Excel comparison soon.

That's a big negatory. All the pages are there but calcs between them do not work. Same issue with DTG. I have not tried quickoffice yet so I do not know if this feature works with it.
To confirm I'm talking about gdocs that I pull down, I have not created a spreadsheet from scratch to try the calc across sheets with PO.

Well that sucks...it's a pretty important feature.
I'm using it for work and it does work well. I wish you could create and save to dropbox folders then have them sync properly. Polaris needs to write to the dropbox api or dropbox needs to add support for file moves and creation to android.
I admit that I am not the best speller. Thus I wish there was spell and grammar check.

Does anyone know how to "select" text in the Docs app? As stupid as this sounds, I haven't figured out how to do it yet.
Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

Open the document, go into Edit mode and then double-tap into the text. You'll see something like two pins enclosing selected text. Use the "Ribbon" to copy/cut/paste.
Thanks!

Not sure that's possible with any of the current apps. They are very limited in their functionality; the devs don't seem to expect tablet users to do serious work :-|

Thanks for responding. I edited my document on my desktop as a DOCX with half inch margins, then sent it to my TF, opened it and saved it as a DOC. That did the trick. From now on, that will be my template.

You're very welcome! All these questions are important for me too
Polaris would be great if I was able to paste text into the app that was copied from other apps. It looks as though this was possible prior to 3.1, but is broken now. That's a pretty big requirement for me.

Polaris is terrible if you use Google Docs.
QuickOffice is the ONLY application that will let you freely edit Google Doc spreadsheets as if you were on a PC.
Otherwise Polaris is a nice app, if you don't use Google Docs. At all.

[Q] Android tablet as second monitor and to sign documents

I have seen a few apps to use your tablet as a second monitor, but I am also want to know if I could send a word doc or pdf to the tablet and have someone sign it with stylus or finger and then save it? It would save time and paper from printing the document out and then just scanning it in again. Plus it would just look cool.
Any Suggestions?
bump for a second look.
final bump
Bump because I'm interested too.

Did you ever find a solution to this?
I would be very interested if this can work via USB and not the wifi app solution.
Also if the tablet as a second monitor (USB connection) could use the stylus to interact with graphics programs for basic touchups. Rather than using a mouse or transferring the file to the tablet and using a app on the tablet.
No, but I need to take another look for new tech.

You may be able to accomplish this using these 2 apps:
Fill and Sign PDF Forms
Signature Capture
You may need to make a purchase. I have not used these apps myself, but check out this review:

This is the first app I've ever invested money into. When used along with 'Signature Capture', this becomes a powerful tool for field engineers like myself who rely on documentation to get payed. All the time, paper and ink I've saved makes this a winner! Please continue to update with more features. I have posted a feature request for global data binding- hope you can add that to your list! best pdf reader in market

So i want to know what is the best pdf reader in market. One feature I really want is one available on the i pad. This feature is where you can make a 3 by 3 matrix for a total of 9 pages. The reason I want this i have college textbooks on my kfire and when I want to locate something fast I can scroll 9 pages at a time instead of one. Anyone know of such an app?
I use EzPDF Reader, and its really cool because if you click on 'RECENT' it allows you to see all your documents like in iBooks, then open a specific document and click on Thumbnail view,
Hope it helps,

Best app for filling out PDF forms?

I work at Best Buy and part of our job is filling out a recommendation worksheet. I was thinking it would be cool to do this on a tablet instead of the traditional clip board and paper style approach. What is a good app for filling out PDFs?
This is the paper that I would need to fill out:

Here is a screenshot of the bottom half of your form using ezpdf and freehand input. The tool bar at the top allows you to highlight, add shapes and text and many other things, it's going very cheap on Google play right now as someone had mentioned above.
Check out the free Acrobat Reader. It does free hand writing, can change line thickness/color/opacity, add text notes, delete, etc.

I was looking for something that my clients could sign contracts with and after trying a half dozen applications, none of them would fill the form properly and allow signing...except Acrobat Reader. Thanks much.
For anyone else looking to use this for business, etc. Thickness modifying means the signature looks better and not "too thick" on the line. All text, dates and number fields worked as well where they didn't always on other apps...
I use signmypad for my electronics repair business. it works great and is simple to use. It is a paid app though but well worth the cost
