Is there a way to disable the CRT off effect present in the Sky ICS ROM and others?
Also, what about the spinner - the spinning progress indicator you see throughout the OS - I just don't like the way it looks. Is there any way to replace that?
Thanks!
Hey,
I have no idea how to do this, but you would probably have to learn how to cook roms and change the internals, unless you can get a dev to create you a cwm flashable zip to fix these things for you.
sorry I could not be of more help

CRT-OFF is in framework-res.apk, you would have to decompile it with apktool and, change the values and then build it. I am doing a diff between my framework-res.apk and the one which changes CRT-OFF and cannot find where it is for the life of me.

Has anyone found a zip that works to remove the sense lockscreen on 3.70 yet? Also curious about the no clock mod as whenever I try to flash the old one the phone just goes into a boot loop. Also a clear taskbar would be nice. I use LP and I hate having that black taskbar at the top and hiding the taskbar is annoying when I need to pull down the curtain.
Calkulin is usually the man for making the flashable zips to remove Sense, though I dont think he has made one yet for 3.70. I am sure that he and many others know how, they just havent done it yet to my knowledge. There are plenty of roms out right now with the AOSP lockscreen on 3.70 though. Virus is one of them and his newest rom is AWESOME!! Check out all of Virus' newest stuff here http://infectedrom.com/forum/forum.php
Calks remove HTC lockscreen can be found here

another option is to locate htclockscreen.apk and rename it .bak thats the method i chose and works perfect on burnt droid. all of calks options on that page are 3.70 based. also the slate theme adds some cool features like power notification drop down, and battery percentage can be found here

hope this helps man

Hey guys, id like to add some toggles into the notification bar, like TouchWIZ does or cyanogen has. So i dont have any idea where to do something like that.
thisisnotanexternallinkandidonthave8posts://st.gsmarena.com/vv/reviewsimg/samsung-i9000-galaxy-s/review/sshots1/gsmarena_014.jpg
.. not allowed to add inside
Is the notification bar written in java or a part of the system?
Can anyone give me a track where to start.

I'm no expert but I believe the images for the notification bar are contained within the framework-res.apk in /system/framework. As for the toggles, that my sense would be that it would take a lot of editing as your basically adding a functionality where there was none before. Why not just flash CyanogenMod or Bionix and have them without the extra work?
i like the clear standard rom of google and their updating rythm i dont want to flash a custom rom on my phone..
Hnn so i have to work it out seems to be hard
Although the stock Honeycomb theme is generally a huge improvement on previous, couldn't resist tweaking it further.
This is based on the framework-res.apk from HC 3.0.1, not sure if it will work on 3.1 or not.
This theme is heavily based on Hatman41's blue theme, and includes all his themed apps:
GalleryNew3DGoogle
GoogleQuickSearchBox
Launcher2
Music2
Settings
SystemUI
VoiceSearch
Gmail
Marketplace
My additions:
Replaced system/clock font with the Ubuntu font
Changed battery icon to animated version - now reports battery in 1% increments
Changed button styles unpressed and pressed (see Titanium screenshot)
Changed dropdown menu boxes unpressed and selected (see SetCPU screenshot)
Some system icons changed
Future plans:
Further "blue-ification" planned - copy/paste bar, menu highlights, radio buttons etc
Planning to change battery icon number text from white to match the clock colour
Looking into adding the Gingerbread CRT-off animation
Change system progress bars from yellow to blue (as seen in Titanium Backup screenshot)
Open to suggestions...
Installation:
Copy .zip to microSD
Boot into CWM
Nandroid
Flash .zip

Darn....ahh well...I realy love what you have done to the framework-res...Do you mind if I use some of the png's that are not in my theme? Will have to wait for them release the GB Source in order for me to do the exl edits on 3.1.

No problem...especially considering I based my whole theme on yours!
Share and share alike eh?
Can you tell me what xml edits specifically you made in order to get the circular battery to work?

Hey, sorry, just saw your PM.
Have attached the edited xmls from my framework and the stock one so you can compare.
Basically, put the desired pngs in drawable-xlarge-mdpi.
For the battery level, just edit the xml to point to each of the 100 pngs (the % is part of the png).
As for charging icons, I edited the xml to point to the charging pngs. To get it to animate, for each charge level I edited the xml to display all the previous pngs for a shorter duration prior to the current level. Not sure if that makes sense, but should make sense if you compare the xml files side by side!
Had help with working this out from some threads over on the Xoom subforum, just can't remember which one...
Thanks...I have it in my two blue themes now...not sure if i am going to add it to my other colors or not....

Just wondered if anyone had tried my framework on a Transformer docked with the keyboard. Would be interested on feedback whether it causes any problems?
Hello,
Is there a way to change the status bar to a transparant one without having to flash some kind of tweaks?
I kina like my phone setup as it is right now (VI401 with nova prime) and have a hidden toggle to hide the statusbar on my homescreen.
The bar stay's visible at the lockscreen, whilst the info is verry handy, the black bar covers some of my wallpaper, and i don't like it this way.
Would it be possible to change the PNG file(s) with a transparant one at some location? Where would that/these locations be?
I'n quit new to android, and have no developpers skills. Finding correct dirs and making my own PNG files is no pob for me.
Cheers,
adam

Hey folks, so I'm running the AOKP JB milestone on my HOX and I've been noodling around with themes, finding that changes aren't coming through... In fact, when I first downloaded a theme, it somehow temporarily switched my wallpaper to the default Sense wallpaper (for which there was no image file of on my phone) Anyway I don't really get any changes besides statusbar color changes and toggle changes when I switch wallpapers... anyone have any idea why?
I'm running black and cyan (found in themes and apps section) and it works great and looks awesome. Some themes don't change much just look at what it is suppose to change. Try uber jelly in the market to see if your icons change. You are choosing a theme under settings> theme chooser right?
Also once installed and applied, reboot.
