Hey guys, id like to add some toggles into the notification bar, like TouchWIZ does or cyanogen has. So i dont have any idea where to do something like that.

.. not allowed to add inside
Is the notification bar written in java or a part of the system?
Can anyone give me a track where to start.

I'm no expert but I believe the images for the notification bar are contained within the framework-res.apk in /system/framework. As for the toggles, that my sense would be that it would take a lot of editing as your basically adding a functionality where there was none before. Why not just flash CyanogenMod or Bionix and have them without the extra work?
i like the clear standard rom of google and their updating rythm i dont want to flash a custom rom on my phone..
Hnn so i have to work it out seems to be hard

the biggest thing i want to know with home++ is does it allow me to keep my live wallpapers?
If you want to change your status bar and not have to install any alternatives, then you will need to edit framework-res.apk.
For all the status bar icons, look for framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/stat_xxxx.png and framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/status_xxx.9.png.
All of the .9.png's will need to have guidelines added to them after editing them, and they will need to be compiled in eclipse.

No, it don't. A slim version, launcher+ does however

It all depends on which images your are editing. I think that most of the status bar images should be fine as long as you keep them simple since android will just be stretching that image. Like a solid color or a simple vertical gradient should work. You have to worry more about editing/compiling them once you start to mess with buttons and widgets layouts.
How do you change the color of the text in the status bar (eg. the time) ?
i too would like to know this
So I suppose there's no simple way
to double the status bar size then?
(+ all icons size equally doubled)
Grateful for all input...

Stock clear taskbar by Rujelus on first page. If you are themed this will revert lockscreen, notification window etc
--
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can make a flashable clear/100% transparent taskbar and clear/100% transparent sense bottom bar launcher.
Ideally, the bottom bar launcher would be something like
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=385691&d=1282488980
in burst's plurstaralpha theme, which is transparent but with visible interactive buttons
The taskbar would be similar to riptide's current
http://www.johnwishon.com/themes/riptide9.png
In similar threads i've seen at least half a dozen people ask for these things, so i wouldn't be alone in using these.
Anyone who can help, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I've been wanting JUST a clear taskbar for a while now. I don't want 4 million changes in a theme package, it's always one or two things I want. Wish they'd do a lot more splitting up of the mods so you can pick and choose what all you want.
I really want the clear bottom bar launcher. And the 3d app drawer.
What would it take to get all the devs together to create a Theme Kitchen?
Or maybe just the top 5 devs or something. Because there are some really nice themes out there, and like jlechner says, the ability to pick and choose parts out of themes would be really nice.

Going to try something, my method won't be flashable but it might work...
Kitchen definitely would be nice though.

you can get that stuff using launcher pro. but you want to keep the htc sense also right?
pretty sure konikub made one, as I have flashed it. I dont know if I have the zip but im pretty sure if you searched konikubs posts you will find what you are looking for. Here is his 2.2 theme post, not sure if its in here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=746689
EDIT: I have something called DC-FRESH_AloysiusClearTaskbar-signed, search the forum for it if that is what you are looking for
Here you go, this is completely stock except the two things that you wanted. As far as making a kitchen, I have no clue on that.
RUJELUS22_Clear.zip
How do I remove this? I flashed it and it looks horrible. It's messed up when I swype down to see my notifications. I'm using Fresh 3.1.0.1

Reapply whatever previous theme you had to replace the framework-res package that made these changes i think.
It looks good, and I do appreciate the work you put into this Rujelus, thank you
unfortunately, since I had manup's theming, it reverted my clear lockscreen, clear notification bar, clear calendar widget back to stock and left black bordering around some of the smooth revolution battery, signal etc icons.
I thought framework theming was seperate lines that were added/removed but looks like its more complicated than i thought : /

Like I said this is completely default except the 2 edits. These edits are just pictures inside framework-res and com.htc.resources there is no way that I know of to add something like this to the theme you already using unless you do the edits to the files that you are using right now. When you do an update.zip it will replace the whole file not just the edited parts.
Oh : (
Thank you for your efforts

so what two files did you edit?
I have a rooted Motorola Triumph running CM7
I dislike the default notification bar. I'd like one that looks a little more like a actual bar, not just a black square.
Do I need to make one myself, and if so, how is that done, or can I flash other notification bar mods designed for other phones?
I have no desire for a complete mod, all I want to change is the notification bar.
Hey man go to this page here and there you can mod anything you want from your phone like status bar battery icon and more
you just have to upload the required files and youre good to go!

Hello,
Is there a way to change the status bar to a transparant one without having to flash some kind of tweaks?
I kina like my phone setup as it is right now (VI401 with nova prime) and have a hidden toggle to hide the statusbar on my homescreen.
The bar stay's visible at the lockscreen, whilst the info is verry handy, the black bar covers some of my wallpaper, and i don't like it this way.
Would it be possible to change the PNG file(s) with a transparant one at some location? Where would that/these locations be?
I'n quit new to android, and have no developpers skills. Finding correct dirs and making my own PNG files is no pob for me.
Cheers,
adam

Hi,
ICS is fully supported.
Did all my battery % mods for ICS 3.6 in there.
thanks a lot!
will try to cook me an transparant status bar!
regards,
I was wondering if someone could help me delete the t-mobile from the lockscreen. I want to use the aosp lockscreen but on stock based sense roms the carrier name text overlaps the status bar just a little bit and looks funky.
You can do it on AOSPish but not on a stock ROM
Typed by ---- oh wait! I'm schizophrenic!
Can it be done on.bulletproof? That's what ROM I'm currently running

I haven't found a way to take it off the lock screen, but you can take it off the status bar when you have the status bar pulled down. There is an option for it in the UOT kitchen. I know that isn't what you asked for, but I put that out there for anyone else who may be interested.
