[Q] Change/delete carrier name from lockscreen? - T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

I was wondering if someone could help me delete the t-mobile from the lockscreen. I want to use the aosp lockscreen but on stock based sense roms the carrier name text overlaps the status bar just a little bit and looks funky.

You can do it on AOSPish but not on a stock ROM
Typed by ---- oh wait! I'm schizophrenic!

Can it be done on.bulletproof? That's what ROM I'm currently running

I haven't found a way to take it off the lock screen, but you can take it off the status bar when you have the status bar pulled down. There is an option for it in the UOT kitchen. I know that isn't what you asked for, but I put that out there for anyone else who may be interested.

Black notification bar froyo

Is it possible to get a black notification bar on the froyo rom yet?
No. Not now. FroYo has not "deodexed" files.
When FroYo comes to AOSP, it will be "deodexed" and then we can get it.
It is so: You can change with metamorph every single png in your ROM. Thats possible with FroYo, but then you have a black clock on a black statusbar.
If you wanna do that, click on my "Desire Statusbar" in my signature and download the version for cyanogens ROM.
But then it's black on black.
OK Thanks, thats what I thought but figured it was worth asking cause a few threads I read people flashing a desire/black bar and they did not mention its black on black...
Thanks for the information
you could also use GrayBarFroYo as a temporary solution until froyo AOSP is released and we could change font colors in the status bar.
i use a black background. i guess there is no transparent status bar working for froyo yet, is there? even if so, i guess my clock would then blend in with my black background and not be visible. hmmm. i want froyo but waiting for a way to get rid of that white status bar!

There is a Transparent Title Bar download located in Myn's Rom, but I don't know if it will work on a different rom. Give it a shot and post results.

It worked but it left the black around the icons. Thanks for the effort
I'm not a developer or even close to one, but I messed around with some of the files from Smooth or something like that and was able to get a transparent notification bar and added an Android logo to it as well. It works with LP also. The only thing is that you have to hide the notification bar, then show it back to make it work. Not the greatest, but it worked for me. Needs to be flashed. Maybe someone can tweak it some more...

I flashed smooth sense icons do you think it will take with this flash?
I honestly don't know, but I would think it would. I only changed some of the images in the folders.

Do you think its possible just make the clear bar and thats it??
I was able to achieve the clear notification bar by using this link for the Super Circle battery mod. (I still can't post links so just google it.) The site is for the battery mod along with a few others, such as the clear notification bar. I had no hand in making the tool, or site, at all. The only problem for me is I too still have the black around the signal icon and a few others. I added the transparency to the icons but no luck. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the subject.

Are you using Launcher Pro? I read somewhere its a limitation of LP. If you are using stock Rosie, it should work.

AOSP lockscreen etc with 3.70?

Has anyone found a zip that works to remove the sense lockscreen on 3.70 yet? Also curious about the no clock mod as whenever I try to flash the old one the phone just goes into a boot loop. Also a clear taskbar would be nice. I use LP and I hate having that black taskbar at the top and hiding the taskbar is annoying when I need to pull down the curtain.
Calkulin is usually the man for making the flashable zips to remove Sense, though I dont think he has made one yet for 3.70. I am sure that he and many others know how, they just havent done it yet to my knowledge. There are plenty of roms out right now with the AOSP lockscreen on 3.70 though. Virus is one of them and his newest rom is AWESOME!! Check out all of Virus' newest stuff here http://infectedrom.com/forum/forum.php
Calks remove HTC lockscreen can be found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=785271
another option is to locate htclockscreen.apk and rename it .bak thats the method i chose and works perfect on burnt droid. all of calks options on that page are 3.70 based. also the slate theme adds some cool features like power notification drop down, and battery percentage can be found here

hope this helps man

How do you mod a CM7 notification bar?

I have a rooted Motorola Triumph running CM7
I dislike the default notification bar. I'd like one that looks a little more like a actual bar, not just a black square.
Do I need to make one myself, and if so, how is that done, or can I flash other notification bar mods designed for other phones?
I have no desire for a complete mod, all I want to change is the notification bar.
Hey man go to this page here and there you can mod anything you want from your phone like status bar battery icon and more
you just have to upload the required files and youre good to go!

[Q] CyanogenMod nightly for N5 4.4.2 doesn't have transparent status bar and nav bar?

I installed the last Nightly of CyanogenMod, and there was an issue with the nav bar and status bar. In Android 4.4.2. and all of the screenshots I've seen of CM on Nexus 5s, I've never seen an issue with someone not having the transparent status bar and nav bar. Is there a way I can fix this, or do I need to install the Snapshot instead? Thanks.
Also, to install any ROMs, I've only booted into a custom recovery. I've never completely installed a custom recovery, as I had some problems with it not letting me mount to USB-OTG. If someone knows how to fix this too, please help.

Regarding the status bar, I really have no idea, but I have some experience with CM-based roms on a different device, and I would suggest that you look in the build.prop file and see if ro.config.low_ram is set to "true". If it is set that way, change it to "false". That may enable the parts of the framework that include the transparent status bar.

I meant to mention that besides it not being transparent, it had the normal 4.3 black background, however, the black background has a smaller margin and the icons at the top were at the VERY bottom of the margin on that box.

Are you using apex? I had this problem and icouldn't figure out why. turns out it was the CM11 Wallpapers. Try using a different wallpaper. It will be fully transparent. That fixed it for me anyway. Goodluck.

Ah, I see. I do not use Apex either, I freaking love GEL and will not get rid of it. When I get home, I'll reflash Cyanogen with the CM installer and I'll fix this. Thanks very much, buddy.
I got it all fixed now. I'm probably not keeping CM11, as I've found some ROMs on here that look really good.

Maybe it was their wallpaper selection.
Unfortunately, alot of the wallpapers on the selection are not big enough to crop well to the screen... That is why it looks like they aren't translucent
And the CM11 installer is, unfortunately one of the reasons for that as well, its made to work across multiple devices, including ones not with softkeys...
