I noticed on opensource.samsung.com that there are 2 .zips that are available to download,
SCH-I510 Opensource.zip <---- EE4B
SCH-I510 Opensource.zip <----??
SCH-I510-VZW Opensource.zip <---EP4D
one clearly says its ep4d but the other one doesn't say anything and it has the same title as the one before it that says ee4b
did you guys already look into those files, i know there was a release you guys saw but i could never find out if those were it as they do not show release dates so i dont know if any of those are recent, i have read that the kernel source samsung released was not working, might they have released something else here?
Could be the one before EE4. You would have to wait for imnuts or jt's input.

The non-labeled one is for ED1/ED2, the original firmware from the device.

Maybe. I heard though you can use a modded cm7 somehow. Except its hard.
no kernel = dead in the water
Ha well for noob builders like me can use this to our advantage if we ever get a kernel.

You're right, your ported roms are much better than ICS.
Multitasking alone is enough reason to get ics, you don't have to belittle it just because we have no developers working on it

The Rom that Raver started had 4 bugs left in it, two of those have been fixed ( WiFi, ringtones ) the other two bugs I am not worried about ( haptic, video) The fixed version will not be released as it is out-of-date. The work on porting the newest GB MIUI build has begun and when that one is somewhat stable it will be release for testing and so on and so on. There are never any stupid questions, just repetitive ones.

Is it true that the official ICS for the Skyrocket is out via Kies? I don't want to go through all the trouble to figure out how to update using Kies with SpoofFW (which isn't working, no Product Code) and all that if it's not really out.
But if it is out, is it somewhere that I can install it using Odin? I'm not able to find it anywhere.
I've not tried it, but will Kies work if I flash 2.3.5? It's saying my phone isn't supported as it is. I'm guessing because it's rooted.
Suggestions? I'm running Embryo 4.0.4 right now and it's pretty good but I wanted to check out the official release.
No
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
It is not out yet, but it is likely that it will be pushed out by Kies because that's how the I777 was updated. Don't stop checking if you got an unrooted 2.3.5 or 2.3.6.

I looked at some threads and came across old stuff. I find stuff on the web that says it's out, but I don't feel like reverting back to an old version of droid just to check.
Here's a couple of places I've found that says it's out.

But I may be mistaken here. Unless there's a difference between the Skyrocket and the standard S2. I thought the only difference was the clock speed. I thought the ROMs I have installed were for the S2 and Skyrocket. Hmmm
It isnt out for the Skyrocket yet just the Galaxy S II.. we are still unaware when and how the update will be done :/
