Dear XDA users, I installed CM 9.0.0 on my Xperia Neo and it works great.
Only the camera isn't working and users reported the stock browser was freezing
Well, I came across this app from XDA member Appelflap and my stock browser is working perfectly
The app was originally developped for the Google Samsung Galaxy Nexus S, but it works on the Neo. probably also on the other Xperia models. The download link is below the screenshots in the original thread
Here is the link for the original thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1423588
Edit: it works great, but in landscape mode I have the screen issues known for the rom.

Thanks installed ok, but as I'm from the uk I don't see anymore options on my Acer a500 here! Tried setting my location to US in my profile on google, still could not get an invite to the beta, seems we have to wait ! Grrrr!
Working fine here on Galaxy S2, works very similar to the HC version - still no way to clear a playlist though.

Me neither.
How do you get rid of the pre-beta version that's been floating around these forums recently? I deleted /system/app/Music.apk, cleared cache and dalvik-cache, rebooted, and it's still saying "Application already exists".

I'd like you to port the ICS soft keys to Gingerbread also. I didn't even bother looking past the comment from Sahibunlimited referring to compiling because has much more knowledge regarding android than I. I did note however that the author of the article states that he backported it, and the blogspot is German, and your location is in Germany so perhaps you could email and ask him if he could share a flashable for the ICS soft buttons. In the meantime I am attaching an apk of an older free version of Syndicate Apps ICS launcher that you can try out. It's kind of slow compared to the newest version but I just don't like to be without the soft buttons. Hopefully CM9 for X10 will have a Camera and Theme Chooser soon and we can move on with soft buttons enabled.

I just bought the student bundle got home and rooted my phone. I flashed and AOKP rom and a jellybean and the keyboard docking station would not work with either one. I went back to stock recovery and found the keyboard drivers and the keyboard worked. Is there anyway to fix it to where the keyboard would work on a custom rom ? I love my gadgets and like the various roms that are built.
I think the problem is proprietary drivers that not yet implemented to cm or aokp as source code for them not avaliable yet either wait till we get them or workaround appear as alternative drivers or multiboot with stock and cm or aokp

You can use custom, just not AOKP, AOSP, CM9/10, I'm on romswell for the very same reason

I was seriously searching for this! I just got it today and was trying to figure out why it wasn't working as I didn't try it on stock before i switched to cm10. So basically it doesn't work if you have cm10 installed?
It won't work on aosp/ aokp/cm9/10. Only stock based roms.

Try stock debloated rom or debloat it yourself via app as titanium backup but make a nandroid backup first
Sent from my GT-P5100 using xda app-developers app
I also bought the Student Bundle (a great deal) and did the same thing you did. Metallice's ROM mostly works with the keyboard (I think everything except the App Drawer key works) and you can get that here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1681317
I ultimately rooted it and used ROM Toolbox to uninstall the bloatware. Unfortunately there is no overclocking kernel - there's a thread for a kernel for 4.0.3 but the developer sold the device and the kernel hasn't been updated yet. If anyone figures out how to get the dock working with custom ROMs, post it here!
Same ish happened to me today. I was all ready to type some lengthy email and was like "Wtf!" I thought maybe the KB had to be charged. After realizing that wasn't the case, is why I'm here. Just like everyone else, little peved because stock sucks! Lol

Which one do you use? Screenies look cool, but I think I flashed rc1 and didn't like it. No Google now or JB launcher look so I switched back. Plus the themes link is dead :/

AOKP JB ROM now supports Student Edition Keytboards!
Get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1841177
I have been using this now for a day or so, and it is an awesome ROM. Jelly Bean based.
The keyboard works for the most part, but for right now here is what works and what doesn't:
Internet - Works
Mail - Works
Lock Screen - Works
Volume keys - Works
Menu Key - Works
All numerical and letter keys - Works
Search key - Works
Home - Not Working
App key - Not Working
Brightness keys - Not Working
The devolper adds:
"I also sent this to codeworkx as well, so the CM10 folks should see the keyboard working soon."

Wrong topic! --> Q&A
You are using stock ics now right?
I recommended the CM Roms because stable and fast.
The CM9 (ICS) works well in the tablet.
The CM10 (JB) really near the perfect. I prefer this, I no have problem with this ROMS, (just some little problem with the autobrightness and some problem with navigation buttons, i hope it will solve soon)
I not tired yet AOKP, i think works well also.
As posted above, questions should be posted in Q&A forums, not Development forums.

I tried the cm10 but the home page is not on portrait mode or cant be rotated?. And there is no playstore, otherwise I would like it. Is it the same with cm9?

I prefer the stock ROM coz it has mini apps & bunch other functionality.
CM9 is good, designed for tablet, but no better (in terms of functionality) than Stock Rom
CM10 is not ready yet, the nightly is just plain ugly.

Yes i prefer cm10 for tablet rotation try setting/display/rotation and tick all options
You could try also a launcher as nova, apex, holo or go launcher hd and check setting of the launcher to enable rotation
Also read reports about aokp working goooood in this tab 3113
I prefer custom roms as no bloatware and nearly zero bugs in this tab and speed increase , i use now cm10 and go launcher hd and so happy
Regarding store not found, i think you forget to flash google apps, if in cm10 try gapp jb, if in cm9 try gapps ics from www.teamhacksung.org

Hello to xda community!
Recently I found some nice system uis for my device but there was all for ics and I'm running jb 4.1.2. Also, I have searched for guides but there was about "how to port apps to ics from jb " completely different from what I actually want! :banghead: So, I decided to open a new thread and use my best English. I don't want to port the app for me, I want to teach me how to do it myself. I would like to learn how to port from hdpi to mdpi, too.
My device is Sony Ericsson Xperia mini ( st15i) cm aka smultron.
