Whats the point of having to flash the deodoxed ROM before the Supercharged ROM?
You only flash the stock rom if you don't have root if you do you can flash over to super charged with wipe data etc etc
I just do it just for a precaution and stability by flashing stock then supercharged

Because there are things that are needed from the stock deodexed ROM version, his supercharged does NOT wipe /system when you flash it, think of it like an "enhancement" ROM, on top the stock deodexed ROM. If you flash it over a straight stock ROM, you might have some oddities.

Thanks for the prompt response. I kinda thought that was the reason, however, a well framed question goes a long way...BTW, I'ma iphone convert, so its a learning curve with the lingo and such.
Did the entire process, successfully. Question, all my Motorola/Google apps force close. I've looked around and hadn't found a definitive answer. Is there a fix, or should I reflash?

Thanks for the advice. Ill try it again and see what happens, then update.
Still have the same issue. I only get the error in the supercharged rom. Kinda annoying, I may deal with it and try to check for a workaround. Any suggestions?

Start from a clean fresh install.... Go grab the fxz and rsd light, then flash the fxz to the phone, re-root and get the bootstrap on it, then flash the rooted deodexed rom, then flash the v4 on top of that, I am pretty sure you are having some odd issue, and it appears that the system wipe from bootstrap did not fully wipe your system. You are using the bootstrap and not safestrap right? If you are using safestrap, stop, and only use bootstrap. Like I said, start with the fxz and go from there.
Thanks, when I get a chance to reflash I'll post. I do remember when I would clean the cache it would give me an error about a path or something (but then it would say it was cleared) , that might be the issue. Oh, I'm only using the bootstrap.

It would give me that error as well, but it still went to wipe it correctly. Just try reflashing everything as Jim said, and don't forget to flash the Stock Deodexed ROM before you flash the SuperCharged ROM.
Flashed back to stock, then followed the steps. Still having the same problems. I'll stick to the deodexed rom for now...

Hello Everyone!
This is kinda sorta really late, but here is the flashable, rooted version of the latest stock rom update!
Flashing this will get you to 1.55.531.3, without the trouble of having to gain root permission again. Keep in mind that this rom will maintain everything that a stock rom would have, including the bloats. I will upload a version w/o bloat soon.
Report back if there's any problems!
Download DS_Mod_1.55.531.3 Here
02.07.12: I took out most of the bloatware in the debloated version. Download the debloated version here!
P.S. If flashing this caused your dog to have cancer, I am in no way responsible!
Omg omg omg <3
Does this support the new radio?
Yea, it's based from a device that was at the most recent OTA, with everything that comes with it.
Thanks to Daniel for bringing us forward - It's great to see people releasing all kinds of goodies for us to play with
Can you make a deodexed version? I'm a huge themer.
Do you think it would be a good idea to try flashing this on my non rooted mt4gs? Like putting it on my sd card and getting into recovery?

do you have the new radio already? this ROM was made to run with the new radio, but it will not install the radio. i am curious to see how this runs when people flash it with the old radio... (could run just fine, we've just never had the chance to see it done )
also you could flash the new radio, but this could be a problem if you decide to flash back to an older custom ROM, as people have reported random reboots with the new radio on the older ROMs.

that would be a really cool new way to root! probably won't work, as it likely won't pass the signature check in stock recovery. shouldn't hurt to try, it would probably just not let it flash.
I'll wait for the Bloat-free version.
Or can you just use the Bloater app to remove them?
Just scored this phone for my little brother. The little amount of ROMs in the 4G Slide community surprised me.
I want him to have a full experience so I'm going to flash this ROM, I don't like how every other ROM has things here and there not working - specifically no 1080p video.

Well, this is a zip, not a pd.img, so booting into recovery or fastboot wouldn't work anyways. OP, correct me if I'm wrong, but this is only for people with s-off, root and clockwork mod installed.
I can't wait for the debloated.
Are you going to be able to hide Kidzone and freeze the "Groups" section?

Unfortunately, yes. This is for people who are currently s-off who want to go back to the new version of stock without going through the trouble that's described here.
I'm getting constant reboots, not sure if due to the new Radio I flashed, or this ROM.

Try reflashing first. If that doesn't solve the issue, revert back to the original radio. I'm currently using this rom right now and I haven't had a reboot yet. Or maybe it's a YMMV thing

Here is the zip file to apply to the 2.3.5 fxz, to make RSDlite flash the FXZ files properly, from the ICS leak. The steps are the same as they were for the 2.3.6 fix. Just unzip these files over top of the original fxz files.
+++++++++++++++++++++++NOTE++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I have pulled these files, so that no else attempts to flash the fxz and brick thier phone. DO NOT ASK FOR THE FILES, I will not give them out knowing what happens to those on ICS that try to fxz back to GB.

How do you think I was able to flash that whole process 4 times... I built this yesterday afternoon, before I even started the process of testing the OTA out. the first time it would not boot, because the lbl file and the mbm were not loaded, and it is critical in this move back.... they have done something to the BL, to make flashing a little harder. I did a hex dump and a decompile of the new mbm file and it has a spot in it that looks like a check for correct lbl file being loaded from the fastboot flash.
The issue with the recovery is because it flashes a new recovery, and that was on the second time I had to flash the fxz, due to a bad root...

Did you use my patch to patch the 2.3.5 fxz for the ICS leak that I posted yesterday?
I am thinking the secret is using a script and not RSDlite. That is how I always restore my phone is with my own scripts, that I was getting ready to release before all this started.
Jim
So lastnight i was flashing my phone to cm9 from 10 because it was to buggy for me to use right now... I used the rom manager like i have before, i made a backup so i can have all my data when i go back to 10 in the future, but something went wrong during the flash and it aborted, I flashed it myself in recovery mode after that and now it just hangs on the boot menu, I have the same files I used before and they were working for a good week or so. I was still able to boot in recovery and download, so i flashed the stock firmware, both the new ics and gingerbread .tars with odin and still it hangs on the boot menu.. I try to do anything in recovery mode like delete data / format, and It also hangs with a little android dude and a blue circle spinning. Is this repairable still? If not can i reset my flash count so i can take it in to att?
Try reflashing your kernel

Also try re downloading the rom. Bad downloads are always the cause of my boot loops. Do u know how to check md5? If not, Google it.
Edit...
Also, to answer your specific question: I think it's prolly repairable by you, since it at least boots. Did u try pulling battery?
Search for how to reset flash counter. That info is def available. Although I don't think you'll need it if you perform a few basic troubleshoots.

Well 3.5 is pretty stable. I would do a reset, flash it again per OP instructions and let it settle. Do a factory reset, wipe cache and Dalvik and not a dirty flash.

I did that in the beginning. I have never done a dirty flash. Though on some roms, they can be buggy. I accept that, not complaining. I will consider reflash with a clean start.

Doubt if anyone has a fix because the ROM is not broken. I've used the last 3 builds and never had a problem. Download fresh and wipe and try again. I recommend starting with the included stock kernel. and oh yes, make sure you are on the correct modem firmware wince the ROM does not install that.
Bad download? Try downloading again.

Tried that. *Sigh* I think I am going to go to a different ROM, not having the Camera work is a dealbreaker. Whether it's ignorance on my part, or lack of documented resolutions for this problem that I have seen others have, I can't go this long without it.
Maybe flashing another ROM and coming back at a later time may solve the issue.
