Hi everyone...
So, I flashed stock JPQ and fugumod. Now, I'd like to have CWM, but I can't find any standalone version.
Anyone has idea? And I really don't want other kernel... Thanks
Noone?
Can it maybe be extracted from kernel?

Nope, it doesn't work. At least not for me. Maybe it has problems with JPQ.
"JPQ and fugumod"...
and a CWM
CWM is clockworkmod? right?
Or am I misunderstaning something?
Why dont you just install a G3 kernel?
CWM included

I did try other kernels. But only fugumod and kyorakernel provide such speed and battery life. As kyorakernel is still wip i'm using fugumod...

well, the older G3 1.9 performance (froyo) runs also at 800Mhz by default
has cwm implemented
if you like to use another kernel than the stock one...
my second mobile ran stable with the kernel mentioned above and stock XXJPU
I could give a +1 for that combination.

I really tried many versions of G3mod. I wasn't satisfied at all. Only Nightly build (from hillbeast) had some results...
G3mod is known as battery drain kernel as now on kyrillos v10 beta even high voltage 1.3 kernel battery last forever (2 days on heavy use)

Did you find any solution about this, I would now that, becosue I have the same problem.
I have XXJPS installed on my i5800.
Use the link uploaded by deepash on page 1 but instead of using the installer, move the file names recovery (on its own, not recovery.sh or anything. JUST 'RECOVERY') to your SD card. Then using an app such as root explorer, move it to /system/bin/. This did the trick for me when the installer wouldn't work. BTW, Hillbeast told me this method

Who else would tell you... His knowledge is so big like he made g3 and all coding of it.
But I solved the problem by using astrum from moikop which has pretty nice rz recovery...

The is a version of Astrum that has CWM as well if you want to use that and i wouldn't overdo it with the praise to Hillbeast but he has made an awesome ROM.

Hi Kyrillos, all
Forgive me - but I can't find where on your install guide / FAQ you've shown how to install your ROM for the real starter. I'm not totally stupid and I've used Odin to install samfirmware stock Roms am now ready for your hard work and ready to donate!!
Part 1? Part 2? assume you need to join somehow.
How do you install the updates, e.g to 9.3?, assuming you haven't actually got a "one package" 9.3 version?
What is G3MOD? why and how should you install it?
etc - reallly searched and really can't find these most basic of answers
Cheers dude - B

Moderator Message
There is a support thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058071
Everytime you flash a new stock rom you have to root it, install busybox, get the better graphics driver, flash FeaModRecovery and so on.
This can take a lot of time.
So I had the idea of making an All in One Package (AIO) for this which is flashable via stock recovery.
You "need" this AIO-Package only if you want to use a stock rom. The most Custom Roms already include this.
This AIO-Package includes:
Code:
Root
Busybox
Better Graphics Driver
Stock Kernel with init.d and custom bootanimation
FeaModRecovery 1.4 by manveru0 [only in v1]
DOWNLOAD
v1.1
Rapidshare
Mediafire
v1
http://www.multiupload.com/1KMB6IMJQB
http://www.mediafire.com/?lsxsaoyan4q4l1m
INSTALLATION
1. Download the zip file and put it on your internal SD-Card
2. Power off the phone
3. Now you have to go in RecoveryMode:
- Press Vol+ and Power Button
- as soon as the "SAMSUNG" appears release both buttons after 2 seconds
- as soon as the "Android out of the Box" appears, press the Menu button.
4. Use Volume buttons to choose apply update from sdcard in Recovery Menu.[Press Home-Button]
5. Navigate to AIO_Package_v1.zip [Press Home Button]
6. Restart your phone
Changelog
Code:
v1.1
- new Kernel 2.6.35.7-perf [email protected] #1
- better init.d support (will be executed at the end of the init.rc file)
- removed FeaModRecovery, because of Rebooting-in-Recovery-Issues
Flash v1.2 via Odin is the safest method for everyone
Extra:
includes Galaxy Nexus bootanimation.
How-To change the bootanimation:
1. Search for a bootanimation.zip/sanim.zip on google/xda
2. Have a look in the zipfile especially desc.txt:
Be sure that the resolution in desc.txt is 480 800
3. Now you have to replace the sanim.zip in /system/media/ with the one you choose. Be sure that your file is named sanim.zip too.
Therefore you can use a fileexplorer with rootaccess (like RootExplorer) or do it via adb.
Nice package, this one is definitely needed after flashing most roms
wow..thats it!!
so much easier tools for beginner..
thanks..
EDIT : as the download link is not there yet, the title should be "release soon". i'm pretty sure u dont want to answer such a question "where is download link?"
regards,
Download is now in the first post. Just tested it with a new flash of XXKPU and everything worked as it should.
So enjoy it
This should be stickied ! thanks a lot

Should work. But you could UnRoot your ROM first with the UnRoot package by KeksKlip and then flash this AIO-Package
If you want to backup your ROM as it is now you need to flash FeaModRecovery first. Then you can do a full BackUp of your existing ROM.
But If you only want to able to do a BackUp in near future the AIO-Package is also including FeaModRecovery so after you flash it you can also do a BackUp.
So its up to you. Hope I understood you right and this helped you.
Thanks man i got it

and it's only a language patch..NOT the whole ROM.
It's a good job on your part, though. I think you've been asking for Arabic support for a few months now. I was going to suggest you pull the files from Doctorz ROM and just modded for your own use in the past.
But you made this easier for other new users who wants arabic but wants to run Zeus.
I wanted to install this rom since it was released but it hasnt arabic support
I kept waiting until I decided to do it my self
and posted it for everyone needed it not to use bad roms just for arabic letters

If I read your scripts correctly, it is generic that technically should work for most other ROMs as well. If you have some time, why don't you tested on Numasx, Bionix or a few others ROMs also and post your find for other Arabic users?

ok guys I need a bit of suggestion here.
I extracted kernel from tj's cm7.2 RC 0 and thought to post it in dev section as it is very smooth and Oc is upto 844 mhz but the problem is can I really post an kernel from a rom posted in forum other than xda?I know we can't post rom but does that mean kernels also?
please guys need your views about this and yeah the kernel is working fine and I even have flashable zip which can be flashed over any cm7.2 rom you are on
just some problem with wifi which can solved.you can even set frequencies from cyanogenmod settings.
I'm no expert on this matter..even I wanted Sir Tj's kernel on some ROM's. The problem is as you can see, he barely or doesn't visit this forum already.. Maybe asking him a permission might do the trick. So all I'm gonna say is: a Big NO..talk to him first..Then release the hounds if he's ok with that. n_n
Yeah.... you need permission from Tj
Just req at his forum....
There is no such rule. It's just unethical.
As long as you have permission from the Dev it's ok...

ok so looking at suggestions I think that we all need to ask for his permission in his forum so that he post his kernel himself on xda.he rarely comes to xda.
this is gonna be very difficult as he is try to promote his forum and will try to avoid his work here
so I need help from all of you.
please be serious as this kernel is very stable.
Do you want use that kernel for your self?
I think you can download his rom and
take that kernel for your self. But to post it i think you must to get permission from owner

Make a folder with boot.img and meta-inf taken from any fit's kernels Zip file.
Make a zip and flash via cwm
Sent from my GT-S5670 using XDA
just boot.img and meta-inf folder from rom witch kernel i want, and make zip? done that but system dont boot, stuck android
What I did was I downloaded cm7 kernel by squadzone and then replaced the boot.img and then flashed.it worked but wifi erro
meta-inf folder it just an updater script wich is for flashing trough recovery
i just cant make system boot when i flash boot image from one rom to another, for example, ported emanonv5 i flashed andro-id boot image, system stuck at samsung logo, or in cm 7 5.6 i flash cm 7 from ty.style boot image, system stuck again, wont boot. i do something wrong?
Yeah man the whole idea of using different boot.img for diffrent roms is wrong.
You could only use the specific boot.img made with that rom.
I was able to use tj's boot.img with vish's rom because both are cm 7.2 but still complication occured with wifi.
Conclusion:not ant boot.img can be used with any rom.it will simply not boot.
i prefer all cm roms as they r awsum
Based on LH2
Pre-rooted
No yellow triangle at boot (means no custom kernel or recovery included, it's your choice! That way if you want root and warranty you can! Just don't forget to keep a copy of your stock rom)

Flash with odin. It will not increase custom download count!
The kernel should be flashed trough cwm (if installed or not odin will not replace it). You can also flash it trough the terminal or adb.
No apps added, just a clean rom. Don't ask to include apps.
If you need/want an app get some kind of root explorer and add it yourself.
The usual disclaimer applies. Use at your own risk.
You are encouraged to use this as your base rom and cook things into it.

It's not tested. It's deodexed and optimized so it might not work, I've uploaded the stock keyboard too in case you want it. Anyway I hate touchwiz way more than stock gingerbread so don't expect many touchwiz things to last forever in this rom.
i had use this rom & switch back to stock rom with odin coz i didn't find any difference in it...just delete some stock application..we can delete in with root explorer & link2sd...come with some another idea bro...speed is same as stock rom...some games r lagging in this ROM...
Please dont mind...just a feedback as user
Games lag because of the crappy cpu and gpu.I'm still in exams so I don't have many time to add features. The real feature would be an stock ics rom for this phone. Even the cheap live walkman has ics, samsung on the other hand doesn't care about it's users.
u r right bro...it should have stock ics rom...
