Hi Kyrillos, all
Forgive me - but I can't find where on your install guide / FAQ you've shown how to install your ROM for the real starter. I'm not totally stupid and I've used Odin to install samfirmware stock Roms am now ready for your hard work and ready to donate!!
Part 1? Part 2? assume you need to join somehow.
How do you install the updates, e.g to 9.3?, assuming you haven't actually got a "one package" 9.3 version?
What is G3MOD? why and how should you install it?
etc - reallly searched and really can't find these most basic of answers
Cheers dude - B

There is a support thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058071

Everytime you flash a new stock rom you have to root it, install busybox, get the better graphics driver, flash FeaModRecovery and so on.
This can take a lot of time.
So I had the idea of making an All in One Package (AIO) for this which is flashable via stock recovery.
You "need" this AIO-Package only if you want to use a stock rom. The most Custom Roms already include this.
This AIO-Package includes:
Code:
Root
Busybox
Better Graphics Driver
Stock Kernel with init.d and custom bootanimation
FeaModRecovery 1.4 by manveru0 [only in v1]
DOWNLOAD
v1.1
Rapidshare
Mediafire
v1
http://www.multiupload.com/1KMB6IMJQB
http://www.mediafire.com/?lsxsaoyan4q4l1m
INSTALLATION
1. Download the zip file and put it on your internal SD-Card
2. Power off the phone
3. Now you have to go in RecoveryMode:
- Press Vol+ and Power Button
- as soon as the "SAMSUNG" appears release both buttons after 2 seconds
- as soon as the "Android out of the Box" appears, press the Menu button.
4. Use Volume buttons to choose apply update from sdcard in Recovery Menu.[Press Home-Button]
5. Navigate to AIO_Package_v1.zip [Press Home Button]
6. Restart your phone
Changelog
Code:
v1.1
- new Kernel 2.6.35.7-perf [email protected] #1
- better init.d support (will be executed at the end of the init.rc file)
- removed FeaModRecovery, because of Rebooting-in-Recovery-Issues
Flash v1.2 via Odin is the safest method for everyone
Extra:
includes Galaxy Nexus bootanimation.
How-To change the bootanimation:
1. Search for a bootanimation.zip/sanim.zip on google/xda
2. Have a look in the zipfile especially desc.txt:
Be sure that the resolution in desc.txt is 480 800
3. Now you have to replace the sanim.zip in /system/media/ with the one you choose. Be sure that your file is named sanim.zip too.
Therefore you can use a fileexplorer with rootaccess (like RootExplorer) or do it via adb.
Nice package, this one is definitely needed after flashing most roms
wow..thats it!!
so much easier tools for beginner..
thanks..
EDIT : as the download link is not there yet, the title should be "release soon". i'm pretty sure u dont want to answer such a question "where is download link?"
regards,
Download is now in the first post. Just tested it with a new flash of XXKPU and everything worked as it should.
So enjoy it
This should be stickied ! thanks a lot

Should work. But you could UnRoot your ROM first with the UnRoot package by KeksKlip and then flash this AIO-Package
If you want to backup your ROM as it is now you need to flash FeaModRecovery first. Then you can do a full BackUp of your existing ROM.
But If you only want to able to do a BackUp in near future the AIO-Package is also including FeaModRecovery so after you flash it you can also do a BackUp.
So its up to you. Hope I understood you right and this helped you.
Thanks man i got it

its a collection of all the mods and stock kernel with init.d support (not facore_phoenix kernel). You have to flash any stock kernel 1st.
hi guys i have 2 questions!
1) is there a ics theme compatible with kyrillos rom jpu 9.4 oc?
2)is there a possibility to make bln work??? (maybe stupid. i saw some files at g3mod kernel like lights.so and i was wondering if???)
every answer is acceptable!!!!
1) you found here a ICS based theme. Search for anothers in Themes section
2) ya it's that. Go to G3MOD thread here and search..if you read that you should found this:
g3mod said:
How to: BLN
This is only "needed" if you have a i5801 | i5800L or any other Galaxy 3 model with back button lights and want BLN in it.
How to install:
First, download the lights.GT-I5800.so file from google code. Then execute this commands:
adb remount (or if this doesn't work: mount -o remount,rw /dev/stl6 /system)
adb rm /system/lib/hw/lights*
adb push [Location of this file] /system/lib/hw
After that, reboot and now you have BLN working

well, the older G3 1.9 performance (froyo) runs also at 800Mhz by default
has cwm implemented
if you like to use another kernel than the stock one...
my second mobile ran stable with the kernel mentioned above and stock XXJPU
I could give a +1 for that combination.

Did you find any solution about this, I would now that, becosue I have the same problem.
I have XXJPS installed on my i5800.
Use the link uploaded by deepash on page 1 but instead of using the installer, move the file names recovery (on its own, not recovery.sh or anything. JUST 'RECOVERY') to your SD card. Then using an app such as root explorer, move it to /system/bin/. This did the trick for me when the installer wouldn't work. BTW, Hillbeast told me this method

How to revert back to stock kernel?
AnTuTu benchmark shows only 480MHz. Scores dropped from 3009 to 2840. OC is not working.
1.) OC is working fine, but battery gets drained like anything when GPRS is ON.... even when MAX 614 MHz is fixed.
2.) This Kernel does not support HAVS/ SVS sysfs so that one can undervolt it.
Please check if these 2 issues can be resolved.
I am going to try this. But can anyone tell me how is the battery performance. ?
No issue with me... i use internet all the time and full brightness and by battery drains like normal.... don't know about oc i dont use it....

This thread is made to compile everything based on JB from flashing to rooting to general problems.
Let everyone experience Jellybean the way Google meant us to! To view anything, just click on the item name!
FOR GT-i9070
The first step to start off with JB is to flash stock Samsung XXLQB ROM. You can download this ROM from samsung-updates.com
Next is using the Windows software ODIN to flash the stock ROM. AFter this follow the steps in order to get a custom KERNEL adn then a custom ROM on your device
1.Rooting
This is the only current root available for S Advance on Jellybean! all others are for GingerBread ! do not use them!!.
link:*
-> Root(credits: shaaan)
To flash this file root.zip , enter stock android recovery using Home + Power + Vol UP buttons together when the @Samsung Galaxy S Advance boot screen is shown. Then in recovery, select install from sdcard and select the file root.vip.
Your phone is now rooted! The next step is flashing a CUSTOM KERNEL to get a custom recovery on your device( CWM or TWRP)
2.Custom Recovery
-> Temporary CWM (shaaan)
-> Permanent CWM/TWRP are integrated in THUNDERZAP kernel(varun.chitre15), Siri Kernel (Adi_Pat) and CoCore-E (cocafe)!
3. JB Kernels
=>Notice: If you find it difficult to flash kernels, use this Terminal Kernel software for Windows!(credits: Chry_Gigio)
or you can use UNIVERSAL KERNEL FLASHER app by frapeti!
1) Sammy default kernel (credits:frapeti)!
2) Thunderzap Kernel (credits: varun.chitre15)
3) Siri Kernel (credits: Adi_Pat)
4) CoCore-E (credits: cocafe)
Note::CoCore-E is also flashable via recovery mode(CWM or TWRP)!
Now that you have a Custom Recovery on the phone, you can flash every existing custom ROM through it!
4.ROMs
=>Note: If you donot know how to flash Stock ROMS via ODIN, check out this TUTORIAL by shaaan.
Also, do not flash any other ROM other than STOCK Samsung through ODIN as it will increase the Binary Counter and cause unnecessary headache to reset it to zero!
Use CWM instead!
Now flashing via CWM/TWRP:
-> Enter recovery mode and select install from sdcard then select the zip file of the rom that you downloaded (if in CWM you can choose from internal and external sdcard) and select the file. The ROM will flash for an average of 5 mins.
-> After ROM has finished flashing, wipe data by factory reset and wipe cache.
Done!
You have successfully flashed a custom ROM!

IF ANYTHING HERE IS INCORRECT, or i forgot anything, please tell me I will update it!!
This GUIDE is ONLY for threads and post related to JellyBean to help avoid confusion between what is meant for which version of the OS and to organise the JB THREADS! Suggestions to add new threads or sections in the guide are welcome!
I have put a good amount of effort into this so,if this helped u, HIT THANKS! it will motivate me to keep regularly updating the post!
