Hi all, INCREDIBLE forum. Have learned a LOT here over the years.
First time poster.
I rooted my thunderbolt a few months ago and it has been incredible...
Recently, my Sirius XM app will not work regardless of the ROM I flash to.
Wifi, just fine, but in a solid 4g or 3g area=nothing, just "no data connection."
No issues with any other streaming apps (slacker, netflix).
I've searched high and low for a fix, found nothing, and HATE using the Sirius XM flash site to listen...
Anyone have any ideas?

Which ROM are you running? I'm on Skyraider and the app works well most of the time for me.

I've used the sirius app since it came out. I've flashed many roms and have never had that issue. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling. I listen to it from 7 am to 5 pm Mon -Fri.

I am also currently on skyraider, though it has done the same thing on many other roms also.
I've installed and re installed the app quite a few times on all roms, even cleared out backups of the sirius app, not that it would matter much ...
I'll keep plugging away, sounds like it isn't a widespread issue with the sirius app, but something in my tbolt.

Sirius/xm radio is a farse! I bought a lifetime plan and can get the service on my laptop/player but when it comes to my android mobile phone they expect me pay a monthly fee!! I will stick to pandora and the other free services. Sirius/xm can bite me!!!

that stinks...seems like lifetime subs would get internet radio automatically....
I found a rom that is actually letting the sirius xm app work consistently, every time, liquid NonSense v1.0.... bizarre. The only rom so far that it works on every time.
OK... It wasn't the rom, it was the ad blocker in ROM toolbox that was killing sirius... I had been turning ad block on early after a roms installation, didn't even think that would do it.... Ad block on, no sirius. Ad block off, works fine.

Anyone else having issues with pandora freezing/crashing constantly?

Works perfectly fine for me, since I've gotten the phone and on every firmware i've used since then and since rooting.
What instances does it crash? Are you running a stock evo?
I have also had a problem with it crashing/freezing a few times. Not doing anything out of the ordinary and it just happens. Most of the time it will be running by itself. Doesnt happen enough to me for me to take the time to fix it.
Pandora seems to be stable on mine... Ran it for about six hours yesterday

stable for me as well i use it for all my music listening
Mine has been stable since they updated it a week ago or so. But it still seems to crash/freeze every once in a while, but only when its lost data and comes back.

Pandora runs excelent!
mine crashes my phone if its not charging while its playing....
It seems to happen with low signal (either Wifi or cell). Otherwise its stable and functional. FWIW, Slacker Radio does a similar thing. Slacker is less stable than Pandora for me.

Same issue I'm having, sometiems the screen will go black and android will ask me if I want to force it to close. Others it will jsut stop responding and I can't do anything.
I don't think Pandora crashed on me even once on my iPhone.
I've also noticed that Pandora goes crazy in the background trying to stream stuff even if it's been paused for a long period of time.
Load up alogcat and see.

It does it to me even if it is the in the forefront, and was a great 4g or 3G signal.

It may be causing some really bad battery drain because of it's inability to background properly.
If the connection is bad for any reason whatsoever it tends to give issues.
Pandora in general seems to be a memory hog.
If you want another (free) app, try Slacker.
Let me put it this way, I have a premium Pandora account and I still use Slacker on my Evo.
I don't like (what I saw) of Slacker on their website, but the mobile app is awesome.
Also, if you don't mind paying Grooveshark looks to be very good.
Only problem is it's for paying customers, which I am considering trying out - it looks that good!

pandora has been fine for me. only issue i get is as i move around from 3g to 4g it's not always seemless for pandora.

Same problem, I was in a non 3g/4g area, so it was regular tower bandwidth. I think it happens a lot when you have very low signal.
I rooted my Inspire about 2 weeks ago. Everything was working great until yesterday. I got a call and the other person could not hear me. Then when I tried to go online (FB, Twitter, email) it would not make a network connection. i could not even send a text message. I tried rebooting the phone, and still could not be heard by other people.
Today, same thing! What could be wrong? I'm very new to this whole rooting thing, maybe I need to put my phone back to stock? I want to be able to get rid of the AT&T fluff and use the wi-fi hotspot.

You could try wiping data and etc in recovery, then reflash the rom again. If the problem still occurs, flash a different rom

Try wiping dalvik and normal catche, it has worked for me in the past when my roms start doing weird stuff.

Actually just spoke to a co-worker that was having the same exact issue. He called Tech Support and they sent him to the ATT store for a new phone. His phone wasn't rooted and was only 2 weeks old. The guys from the store are in my building today, so I will go have a chat with them!

Fring always log me out when the phone is on Idle or display lock.
Has anybody here experience the same thing?
Its just annoying that everytime I unlock the phone display thats the time that Fring logs me in and I have no autotask killer installed on my phone
Sometimes it logs me out sometimes it doesn't eventhough Im always connected to wifi or 4G.
It should be ALWAYS running on the background. Any workaround on this? I just want to keep t running on background......

Same problem with me, but not because of Idle or display block. It just says I signed in from another device, and sings out after minute of signing on. It really sucks. And this new feature Playground also drives me crazy.
I guess it started right after updating. And the reason is this new feature, because it needs severe packet exchange.
For now, reinstalling of fring works for me, but I don't think it will stay long.
In General, this new update was awful. Some of my friends say that they saw me online when I actually was offline and also after asking me they realized that my account is used by different person. That's pretty sucks . Also I see in my list of people names which I never saw and never added. In add-ons it appears that some of accounts are singed in even I erased my account info.
If any of you guys have such problems, please, write. If it is not unique case. I prefer delete my account for a while because it seems fring team made some mess in a new update.

Fring has a new update. They revert back to classic fring. Playground is a separate app now.
Still logs me out from intermittently...
As for the unknown friends. I just delete them. I'm still a Fring user their VoIP is amazing...

I only Tried Skype and call centric. So far fring has the least drop calls/ lost connection.. the only issue is, it logs me out intermittently
Interesting, on my Sensation, it stays logged in (though can't connect through wifi at the London office so it obviously uses a blocked port, just keeps trying in the background until I leave the office and it picks up 3G)
My fiancee has my old HD2 running a Sensation ROM and her's logs her out after a while.

Today, when I opened market it switched back to my local with only free stuff. I thought like: ok, I'll just set it back like I always do, but when I set it back, it was still the same. I tried, updating both gapps and Unlocker, clearing data and cashe, rebooting, but none worked. Anyone experienced anything like this before?

just had an interesting observation today, though
normally only free apps show up in google play in my country, no paid apps at all.
tried market unlocker again today, although it said operator not changed. i was actually able to see paid apps in the store as well as in my app list.
however I did not go further and try to buy something new, nor did i update any of my existing paid apps as there was none available.
Same here. I use 3 apps like this, all don't work anymore. Google did something.

On ICS and Play store 4.0.25 is not working
I have been tethering on T-Mobile for some time and haven't had any issues. Now all of the sudden, they are blocking tethering for me. I am on DU 4.4.4. What can I do besides switch ROMs?
I don't think ROMs have anything to do with your tethering issues. Perhaps glitched out on your current ROM.

No I just realized that it still works with my laptop but if I try to tether on my ps3 or 4 and I open a browser, it displays a message about paying for tethering and that its blocked. How did tmo catch on with psn but not my laptop?
That's weird. I have Xbox one and can't replicate the problem you are having. Youtube plays fine, can play online games and browser searches without hiccups. I don't see why PlayStation might be an exception, I think you might want to check on your APN and perhaps reflash your ROM. Just back up your current one and see if new flash makes any difference. If not just recover back. I am almost certain that reflash will fix your problem automatically.
Oh I forgot to mention that I am also a T-Mobile user.
