Ill just leave this here and let everyone pick it apart. From what i have read on the site it looks pretty damn good.

attempting to install now.
Just tried to install it via Astro, and it wouldn't even let me select install, the option wasnt there. Hmmm, that's annoying it looks very nice. A possible rival to Ubermusic.
Says that it will only run in ICS. i got it installed however the API's of google's dont exist. So it cant be "sync'd" with google music. I dont have any music on my phone so i cant really test it but its running and looks nice.

Looks really nice and matches shnizlon's AOSP theme very well. I'm still sticking with HTC's music app for now but this seems ideal for those who use an alternative home launcher....Widgets are very nice!

Ah didnt see that, cheers. Im running 2.3.5 so that'd be why
Cheers, will give this a play. I can't understand why so many people are criticising the lack of cloud support when their using a phone capable of storing thousands of tracks though lol

Fine for me on ARHD 6.0.3, no fc.
Actually that's a lie, it's not fine.
It's FREAKING AWESOME.
Honestly? Who needs Beats with this beauty installed. More customisable than Beats, though I've obviously still got both,
Kudos to the team that came up with this one.

Do believe so, as it replaces the stock player.

So I've got this installed and I am getting a short buzz sound on every other track or so. If I rewind the track it doesn't play the buzz again (so I know its not my MP3s). Thoughts?

Tested on my Xperia Ray, with ICS custom ROM (JJ's Hybrid).
Works OK, except when choosing equalizer or effects. it forces to close. Also in some songs.
I got random crashes after using it awhile

Very good job, I like everything about it. I prefer black/darker themes but this one just works. No problems except for some reason Swapper will not start.Has worked all every other rom and themed version but it will not start th swap partition. Oh well, its not like I "need" it, just got used to having it on in case.
Again, good work.
2 hours later getting a few problems....
Swapper does not turn on swap partition.

As dumb as this may sound, I have to rely on someone else to try this method and report back. I'm "uptime" testing a Rom, and can't reboot. :-(
And also, 6 minutes and 23 seconds into Top Gear, and it just crashed on my phone...So it's officially not stable on my Rom either. :-(

Here's to wishful thinking!
Inspire 4g on CoreDroid 6.3 with latest LeeDroid Kernal. Sound but no video. Even though it's half functional, I'm just happy the app is finally out instead of them ***** footing around release dates. Soon enough we'll be golden.
I'm running leedroid 3.0.3 and I'm still getting the white screen of Doom
I just tried it in gingerbeast and it doesn't work. I shows a black screen for 13 seconds and then it does back to the movie list.

Is there such a thing as a resource monitor for Android? I ask this, because my room mate has the Captivate, and it works fine. Always. Maybe witha monitor of some sort, we could see what resources are being used on the Captivate -vs- the Inspire and kinda compare from there?
Obviously these are two different phones, but the general concept of functionality should not be too far off.

The room mate and I are gonna try to crack this case tonight! The plan is very stupid, but whatever. haha.
The basic principle of functionality should be equal clean across the board. It has to be the lack of a file or files that is preventing this. The hardware itself is VERY capable of working. This leads use to our conclusion...
I already had drmprovider.apk in my system folder, but did not have drmua.apk.
Tried adding this file and no dice.
Basically, if I already have the file, it will remain untouched. Anything else will be merged in, until it either works, or crashes the phone. I DO NOT SUGGEST OTHERS TRY THIS. I personally don't care, because I have insurance, under warranty, etc.
If we make any progress I will keep you all informed. And well...If I brick my phone, then I'll see you all in a few days. haha
I am looking for a music player with a good graphical equalizer. I have yet to find one that works without flaws...
(Running MIUI ROM)
MIUI stock music player:
Sounds good, equalizer is satisfactory, but you can't tell it what folder to pull music from. It just reads the whole phone. It has a setting that you specify minimum file size for, but that's crap. Should be able to just tell it where to find music and only load that music... It also skips/cuts off etc A LOT!
PlayerPro:
This player has a really crappy equalizer. The only positive I can think of about this app is the ability to use SRS enhancement in HTC phones that have it. This one skips/cuts out music more than any other app I have tried. No matter what happens, screen turns off, like 5-20 rapid cutouts. Quality of playback is poor. Accessing certain features are a pain and needs to be able to be accessed from Menu button while in the player, not just the main screen. But the cutouts for anything happening to the phone, browsing for the next song, volume up/down. Minimizing, screen on off. Huge/a lot of cutouts in playback.
PowerAMP:
This was probably one of the better apps. Great equalizer, very direct navigation to whatever you need. But this player also suffers from the cutouts when locking/unlocking or interacting with the phone. This app does have that Buffer setting, but even set to huge (725ms) it still suffers from these cutouts. And the update that came out today.. well that just screwed it up even more...
UberMusic:
Smooth, looks pretty, can tell it's a complete rip from Zune so I know how to navigate it at least. Cutouts while navigating the phone weren't nearly as bad, or didn't happen. The problem with this app is that it doens't have an equalizer. I googled, and found out that Fede (many may know him from that scam app LPP) promised to implement an equalizer. That same dev also promised a re-write of LPP be the end of 2010 and look where LPP is at.. completely abandoned for this music app. With that history I won't buy his music app until the equalizer is implemented. But based on what he's shown with LPP I don't see that happening for 932750923 years.
WinAmp:
Loved it on my computers since middle school... But for the phone, the cut-outs are almost as bad as PlayerPro, and it also has a pretty crappy equalizer.
Anybody else know of a good/smooth music app, with no cutouts in music playback and a good equalizer?
Thanks!

have you tried any of those one a Non MIUI rom? Reason I ask is that there is APP issues with any and all CM based roms including MIUI. Main reasin I ask is I do not have this problem with any of the music apps you mentioned, short of the MIUI as I have never used it and never will.
I only used LeeDroid prior to flashing MIUI and the stock (Sense) player did everything I needed it to without problems.
I guess it's possible this is a MIUI problem. Such a shame... smoothest/fastest and most customizeable ROM I've ever had on a phone.

I use powerAMP and have used prolly every rom made for the inspire. With a few exceptions. I don't have your issues. ./shrug
As for Your Miui claim, You have only used Leedriod and Miui. You may want to check out a few other roms. You claim fastest smoothest and have only tried two things.
Thats alot like claiming MCdonalds is the best berger when you have only tried MCdonalds and Burgerking.
Truthfully there are alot of burgers out there and you would be "missing" out.
FYI MIUI is not the fastest/smoothest.....lol
I used many ROMs on other devices. Tried MIUI back then and it was also the smoothest for me there, just couldn't deal with the facebook issues, the camera issues, the GPS issues etc etc it had at the time.
Can you recommend another ROM that's as small and fast/smooth as MIUI?

If the reason really is due to MIUI being based on CM7, then I think this ROM would give me the same result, no?
I'm willing to give it a shot this weekend though. I don't see any screen shots in the thread for the ROM though, (and no place holders like I get from blocked content [at work, ha ha] like other pictures) could you post an SS of the notification pull down? I am currently using whats in my sig. And I don't have the issues you are having. With the music player. (power Amp)
Its also better, IMHO then MIUI. Its got just as many if not more customization options and you don't have to look at an IPHONE want-to-be interface.
I Also found Gingerbeast to be great and then Ninja. Granted I only like AOSP roms for the most part.
I have never had GPS or Facebook issues on any rom I have used. Can't say about the camera apps as I am not into pictures. Don't use it at all.
Thanks tweaked.
So music playback is smooth/continues even when you lock/unlock or launch an app etc?

Sir, Download and flash Absolution. You will be amazed.
The pull down does not have the 2nd page for toggles. But you can add as many toggles as you like to the top.
I just tested it and it does not Glitch when I lock and unlock the phone. Even on Bluetooth.
All this tho and I bet the issue isn't the rom you are using. You prolly just need a full reset. I have found that sometimes I just have to Completely Wipe the phone and then install from scratch to get rid of little annoyances that pop up. I used Miui for about 2 weeks and never noticed what you are experiencing.

Well, MIUI is based on CM7; I'm having this exact problem with CM7 (latest build). As a matter of fact, I've always had this issue, and it's very annoying. I also have a problem with the sound cutting to mono when listening on a headset, and it's highly irritating, because the only way to fix it is to unplug and replug the headphones.
I wonder if a full clean wipe will fix this. I'm really thinking about giving it a shot, but the issue is that I'm going to be stuck with one of two options: either a Sense ROM or a CM7 ROM. I really love CM7, and have no other issues with it than this, so I'm wondering if it is indeed worth it to switch to a Sense based ROM.
I know I won't be going back to sense.
Think I'll just gu buy an MP3 player if it comes down to that.

Nice, but I probably wont install as its another cyanogenmod base rom, which means broken movie player (where the sound and video goes messed up half way through)
Edit : Well, I might flash to do a review of it, I'm trying to get through all htc g1 roms, and give them scores.
If your planing on doing a list of rom reviews get in touch with frankdrey, he and I were starting that as well but gave up for the time being. As for cm based roms I don't have the issue on the g1, on the few I tested for video streaming. Can't recall which ones I ever had issues like that on

Hmmm, well that's strange, absolutely every rom that is cm based for me has this issue.
Its like when then video reaches a certain point, the video restarts but the sound keeps going.
Ok, I will get in touch with him. I was going to make videos for every rom, as I know that when people want to get a rom they always would like to see a video of it but sometimes can't. I know how annoying that can be. So maybe instead of me making a channel on my own we could all get together and make channel for the 3 of us, then we could all upload videos of certain roms and rate them.

Download link is working for me but @blaster44 man you should change the text color cuz is hard to read the text and background are almost the same color
Its always nice to see any development re the magic (thanks for all your work) so had to try this rom.
Easy install and nice features. I've installed ics theme and am now having reboots and launcher fc's unfortunately.
Sent from my HTC Magic using XDA App
Gracias,ya encontre el link de descarga!!
downloaded and flashed.it is beautiful, but i wonder whether the apps could be installed to sd-ext.
Thanks for this great rom but I got a problem. It's laggy while scrolling between home screens, any ideas ? I've tried changing scrolling speed in ADWsettings but no luck.
And I think Play Store is too much for G1, it's slow and fc sometimes.
Everything else is fine, really fast and smooth
Edit: Enable "use 16bit transparency" in CM settings should fix it Now it's perfect !!
sooo about those audio enhancements supposedly put into the apparently most popular kernel for the Evo Shift...
are they supposed to do ANYTHING WHATSOEVER?
heres the list of roms ive been through
XPERIAnceZen (currently using), JellyBelly, Motoblur'd, ShiftyBastard
Now XPERIAnce, JellyBelly and Motoblur'd use the same kernel, Strapped365's custom kernel, while ShiftyBastard has a different one (if I recall)
The roms sporting strapped's kernel boast audio enhancements built into the kernel, as does Shifty.
Motoblur'd claims to have XLoud, ClearAudio+ and Noozxoide. Nothing works. Noozy and Noozxoide both quit before they open. Even tried putting them in \system\app as suggested on its thread. DSP Manager does nothing.
Same problem with JellyBelly and XPERIAnce.
ShiftyBastard's Noozy and Noozxoide enhancements work amazingly! but the rom is god awful on performance and have had some issues with apps not opening, particularly games like Dead Space, Beat Hazard and Air Attack.
My question is how do i get the enhancements to cooperate if they are built into the first 3 roms or how do I get ShiftyBastard to play nicely with my apps?
Where does it state that the kernel is responsible for these?

i suppose it doesn't >_< i may be under misinformation that audio tweaks are set by the kernel. actually i may have misread the JellyBelly V6 notes
***Note: If you are wanting to use a third party music app please use another version, it probably won't work on v6. There are a lot of audio mods in v6.***

is it a build.prop tweak perhaps? i tried installing the Pimp My Beats audio mod and it mentions adding the mod to the build.prop. im no developer at all, though i have had quite a few ideas for overall performance and visual appeal. these may be of my own preference towards the og HTC Sense and Rosie tweaks in MicRunny roms. maybe i should read up more on development processes if i wish to join the club ^_^
anyway, is there anything that can be done with my situation? is this a recurring problem or are there actually no enhancements working?
any help and insights whatsoever? ive returned to my favorite Supreme Sense rom and might stick with it if there really isnt anything i can do. but i do love the ICS and JB roms available to us. as i cant physically ask in dev section just yet, im really hopeful somebody can point me in the right direction.
also if anyone would like to post what DOES exactly control the audio mods (libs and such or the like) please let me know. id like to do some poking
MotoBlur'd was untested by me (bad idea) I still need to fix it. I have gotten about three people that say the same thing as you (all phones are different)... There is a lot more to audio mods than just the build.prop lines.... Try flashing this on a 4.0+ AOSP ROM:http://db.tt/nPFqNEj0 If this doesn't work you probably have a hardware problem.
It depends on what audio mod you are talking about as to the files needed. But the link above is all the files needed for the audio mod on MotoBlur'd.
And as BigSplit said none of these are in the kernel... All in /system.
thanks ill give those files a go.
not really sure if its a hardware issue as im not having problems with the Supreme Sense DSP manager or the HTC Dolby/SRS/EQ. but like you said, each phone is different. either way ill report back later on this when i have a free minute. i work at a repair shop so i basically get to play with my phone and others all day ^_^ is there anywhere i can look around in the system folders to test a few tweak theories out?

That is a combination of three different audio mods, so those are the most common folders and files tweaked. Hope that helps.

Wait DSP Manager is in MotoBlur'd? Delete it! Crap that's why it doesn't work and why Noozy is FCing. Dang, I'm gonna try and fix that ROM tomorrow... I really screwed up on that ROM, my fault for releasing without testing.:banghead:

HA! looks like im helpin the community already ^_^ lol jk. yw for the find tho bilgerryan
so because im a glutton for my own failings im about to flash a slightly modded version of your Motoblur'd to one of my own shifts. basically i removed dsp manager and libcyanogen-dsp.so, moved noozy and the motoblurd theme apk and edited the audio_effects.conf file. ill post back my results for ya
fyi noozy and noozxoide still dont open
while it didnt hurt anything, nothing gained either. if you want someone to test out the fix, assuming you find it, count me first in line. your rom is awesome and super smooth regardless if the audio tweaks work or not
one more thing...i noticed the Sony Xloud references also applied in your rom, though there doesnt appear to be an option for it in the music effects section. any chance there may be an issue there somewhere as well?

The lib is still needed, the DSP Manager app is all that needs removed
Bro just flash awesome beats, clear audio+, and bravia 2. I've done it on countless ROMs and a few devices including my shift, original evo, HP Touchpad, Nexus 7, and mums Acer Iconia a100.
It always adds to the sound and makes the equalizer work.

Bro none of those installs made a lick of difference. though i must admit using TWRP to install Awesome Beats was actually pretty...awesome *knee slap* why dont more zip installers have there own interface for installing?!
U mean aroma installer? More don't have them because its alot of extra effort for little/no reward unless u want to make some things optional

which is exactly why i personally think the effort is more than worth it! think of the possibilities! with a bit more development in the roms you can allow people to use a preferred music app, install different tweaks and apps while negating others from being installed all together. customization, isnt that what custom roms are all about?
Well from your other thread it sounds like your audio enhancement problem may be hardware related.

not sure if it is. ill have to pop one of the boards from my other Shifts and verify.
Now which option do I use in Aroma to flash Awesome Beats to newSense? i tried Stock base but it didnt display the icon for Awesome Beats in my App Drawer.

I've never used the Aroma installer version... I've always used Team AC!D's version. Or Pimp My ROM...those are both simple flashable zips
