I am having a weird problem. I tried connecting my Gnex to my parrot bluetooth car kit, but by mistake entered a wrong pin. Now the parrot keep showing up as a paired device, even though when I tried to pair initially it said pairing unsuccessful. I have tried to unpair it like 1000s of times, but it doesn't do anything and it keeps showing up as paired.
Anyone seen such a problem, or know how I can fix this?
Thanks a bunch !!

Is there an apps that auto enforce pair on detect?
It seem my jabra 500 on my car hardly ever auto pair up as soon i enter range.
Seems like an odd question... pairing and connecting are two seperate things... once paired, you don't have to pair again, then connection will happen automatically when you're in range... I would think about replacing your jabra, as it seems to me that it doesn't work...
that, or re-flash your x10, as it's probably just not working properly.
Android seems hopeless and connecting automatically after pairing. Never got it to do it, not with any device of any sort.
Hi.
Have read around the forum a little, and haven't found much info in regard to the problem I'm having...
Am currently using the Opensensation Rom from 13/05/2012...
I am unable to connect bluetooth to my car's handsfree bluetooth audio... I tried connecting it to a blackberry and my laptop, and worked fine. However, it connected in a different way to normal. Normally, I've had it ask for pin number, and put in the default 0000. However, on the blackberry, it came up saying something along the lines of "device trying to connect, number 2837346". On the phone, it said "ensure the number on other phone is 2837346" or whatever.
When I connect to the bluetooth in car, it says "Couldn't pair with Ford Audio because of an incorrect PIN or passkey". But, as said, it doesn't ask me to enter the passkey...
So, any ideas of what the problem is, or how I can solve it? Tried changing the radio to see if that would help, but no difference...
Please help me get this sorted. Need the handsfree for phone, and only just got this phone... All other phones previously have worked.
Well, it appears that this is a problem with the ROM itself, as using another ROM (Revelation HD 6.6.4 XE), and it pairs fine with my car bluetooth...
Hi everyone,
has anyone experienced problem with blue-tooth pairing on the Nexus 5. My problem basically is that every time i jump in the car i receive a BT pairing request. EVERY TIME! it sound like it is not saving the pairings... Didn't have that problem with my Galaxy S2. Im this close on returning the phone... problem after problem... Blue-tooth, Camera, crappy Speaker, Low Volume, screen colors. phone reboots, software crashes... geezz! sorry that was me venting...!!
im running completely stock firmware other than root...
I've paired my phone with two cars. On the first, the car requested contacts and history and I said no. This was asked about 3 or 4 times. Hasn't asked since.
When I paired with the second car, I continued to get the request for history/contacts...but from the first car's bluetooth ID. Over and over and over. Haven't gone back to see if it still happens though.
EDIT for UPDATE:
Just tried second car again and problem solved. As for your problem, have you looked at the car bluetooth settings?
Has anybody else had trouble getting the Z3 to pair with your car's head unit? I have an Alpine CD player with bluetooth which paired fine with my Galaxy S4 but won't connect to the Z3. It fails because of an incorrect pin. However, the phone never prompts me to enter a pin. I've read that this is a known issue with Sony devices where they hard code the pin in as 0000 so if the device you're trying to pair with has it set to 1234 for example it will just fail. I've tried several suggestions such as trying to share a contact to the cd player via bluetooth to force the pairing as well as a couple of apps that try to pair with the device but they all seem to use the system's bluetooth pairing app.
Anybody else having this problem or know of a workaround/solution?
Thanks
Iam not sure if my situation is quiet the same but My bluetooth works fine when transferring pictures but recently tried to play music through bluetooth and although both devices paired up , They dont stay connected? It connects and then disconnects within a second or two!!
I found the solution to my issue in case it helps anybody else. With Alpine (perhaps others) you can only have 3 devices paired at once. My old phones were still stored so I had to clear them. So really it was just a case of terrible error messages. The head unit just said "Failed" when it didn't connect and the phone said incorrect password or pin so neither were helpful.
I recently upgraded my AT&T Note 8 to Android 9 (Pie).
All has been good until a few days ago my phone lost its Bluetooth connection to my car.
I attempted to pair the two together again, several times, but failed. The point of failure was when the car asked for verification of the Bluetooth passcode which never showed up on the phone.
The car can see the phone, and the phone can see the car. But the passcode never shows up on the phone.
So I tried pairing with my desktop computer, which also requires a passcode, and it fails there in just the same way as the car...no passcode shows on the phone.
I have no problem pairing devices that don't ask for passcodes, like BT headphones and speakers.
To remedy the issue, I have tried clearing BT cache/data, and I even tried clearing the phones cache partition...no good.
My current firmware version is N950USQS6DSG6. Do you think upgrading to N950USQU6DSH3 will fix the issue? Or is there some simple setting that I am missing? Perhaps a developer setting?
Thanks for any help you can give.
