Baseband 26.13.04.19_M on ICS 4.0.3 is my current setup.
Anyone have any recommendations yet as to what Radio yields the best results?

This topic, regardless of the ROM, has been covered more times then it should have. Radio results vary widely from user to user. What is best for one person is not the same for another. The best way to find what radio gives the best results would be to test them for yourself.
So you don't have any recommendations then?

My recommendation is to try them out...its nearly impossible to recommend a great overall radio since the results vary from user to user and location to location. 4.30 is the most result radio release I believe and from what I'm seeing with newer released ROMs this is the radio of choice but to be honest that's based on the RIL they cooked in and not so much based on the "best" radio out there since, like I've said, there is virtually no way to say which is the best. I've seen you've released a ROM, if 4.30 is the best radio you have, use that one...assuming you're running your own ROM..everyone else can either jump on board or try different radios out for themselves.

I'm running the latest honeysense on my inspire. I was reading about flashing different radios and changing the clock speed. What are the benefits from these modifications and where can i find a good guide on how to do it?

Well, there's a lot of info regarding over/underclocking. Searching will provide you with probably more than you'll know what to do with.
As applies to the ROM you're running, the best and most relevant discussion would likely be in the honeysense ROM thread itself.
I know browsing through pages of posts doesn't sound appealing, but it really is a good idea when it comes to this stuff, to get a feel for what others have been doing in this area with that particular ROM.
Now, as far as radios, often times there'll be a radio recommended for a rom, that recommendation could be the result of any number of things.
The stock OTA radio often ends up working the most reliably across a lot of roms. If you're not experiencing any issues with signal quality/data speeds, there really isn't any need to mess with it.
Even after flashing a new ROM, if performance in these areas seems to be degraded compared to your previous ROM, this can often times be addressed by making sure the RIL of the ROM is matched with your radio.
RILs change with each new ROM flash, radios do not. So a mismatch is a common occurrence and can cause radio performance issues, yet is easily remedied by flashing the appropriate RIL.
The inspire only radio thread has all the radio/rils/recommendations/instructions you need...over in the dev section.

RE: Overclocking the CPU
I think this is about the most elegant solution....I'm a CPU guy...so maybe overly weird I do not want some "App" running my over/underclock...This works...and 52 steps should be enough to figure out what works for you in conjunction with something like Llama to toggle the other stuff...JMHO....It is available on a few ROM's now i believe....run adb command though n actually see what clock steps are available: for some reason my cpu is missing a common speed step :-o. . bad qualcom bad
Edit: ooops the link:

Thanks for the replies guys. I've gotten through about 300 pages of the honey ROM thread. Very tedious and confusing LOL.

That's really relative to where you are. I have heard most say the latest radio is great but remember to match the RIL file. Personally I have been getting more constant speed readings with the newest radio.
However I have heard that people have success with just older radio. So if the current radio you have works and happy with your current speed, then I wouldn't touch it. But you can try it out and always revert back if you don't like it .
Found a ROM I'm happy with. Energy 2.08 base 3.5 Sense rom.
I'm wondering what the best radio to use in the UK would be? I updated to the 10.58 radio ages ago and wouldn't risk going back to 10.56. Noticed today I'm only getting 3 bars of signal in a strong coverage area. T-Mobile. Use to get constant 5 bars easily so I'm wondering if its just a ROM and radio mismatch?

Hi,
The best radio is the one that works.
If you used to get a better signal with 10.56,then that is the best one for you.
You have to try a few radios before you find the right one,and test it on various ROMS.
You will eventually find the best combination of ROM/radio.
I'm getting confused with RILs too. Do they get applied when flashing a custom ROM? Because I've never updated those since using the gingerbread RUU months ago. I swear this stuff was more straightforward on the old Desire.

The RIL (Radio Interface Library) can be very important, it might just be that the RIL you are using has all the right instructions in it anyway for the radio you are using, I suggest you always flash the correct RIL for the Radio you are using.
Guides - ROMs - Kernels - Radios & RILs - MODs
I'm looking for a good custom Rom for my htc sensation . I have root access via revolutionary and can flash using clockworkmod recovery.
I tried Revolution HD but only got error messages.
I ned a custom rom that will
1st be smooth and stable with all features working
2nd Improve battery life
3rd Improve overall performance
I Don't need to have a rom with Sense, but would like to keep the ability to see new messages on the lock screen. None of the other lock screen features are that important to me . I also like having the ability to link contacts to facebook contacts. These are the only sense features I need to keep so if they are available on a non sense rom I'd be open to try it.
All suggestions are helpful and welcome.
Thank you
It is very subjective and all ROMs will meet what you ask for compared to stock...
really you need to do your research..all ROMs are here in each thread...

I use ARHD and am very happy with it but its up to you...Gingerbread...beta ICS...custom.
I suggest try a few - once you have changed a few times process becomes painless. Also titanium backup (for apps only) helps - but keep a nandroid backup of your current rooted ROM so u can always get back to where you are now.
Really its research research on XDA and trail an error....
I have tried all these Roms on XDA for the sensation that have been released in the last 4 or 5 months.
I have to say the Energy Rom sounds like what your looking for. NRGZ28 is not running ICS on his latest release, I believe because there's to many issues
NRGZ28's Energy is always my main Rom because of the stability.

Thanks for this. My research has led me to energy as well. Downloading now. will let you know how it goes...
Had my sensation xe for a couple of wks now and had tried out a few roms, so far I like ELEGANCIA GB rom the best, it's stable, everything is working, and their skins team is amazing, looks darn good. Battery life is dependent on too many factors (usage, radio, kernels, etc).

Now I'm confused about which radio firmware to use. I have a z710 model which works with att 3 and 4 g bands while remaining on an unlimited non smartphone plan. Would changing radio firmware effect this in any way? Since each rom comes with a radio wouldn't this be a determining factor?

Your radio will just adjust how well you communicate with the towers. It is just the hardware broadcasting interface as well as the RILs (Radio Interface Layer) which tells your phone how to communicate from the hardware to the radio.
So it will not affect your plan at all.
What radio should I use for best WiFi

Thats a ridiculous question to ask.
You need to give more info, Your current radio version, Your location, Your ROM and so on...
generally speaking newer released radios have better signal strengths, But this isnt always the case.
