Hi,
Setup is the app that runs when you first boot up on a fresh install(same with wizard?)
Taking out Twitter may cause synching issues.
Not sure about o2.
The rest looks superfluous.
Have you ever considered ROM CLEANER ?

Hi,
There is no shame in asking.
Patric , craack and Dude are really helpful.
Essentially ,get ROMCleaner_user.txt and open it with Notepad++.
Put a "#" in front of everything you want to keep.

ahh champion thanks mate, so if i flashed it it would make a list of everything installed on my phone then i would go throught it and put # in frount of whatever i wanted to keep, see thats the part i get lost at.

Hi,
Not quite.
There are 3 parts to this process.
1.put
Folder Creator v1.3
Backup Tool v1.3
on your sd card and run them.
This will create the folders you need, and back up the apps you already have on your phone.
2.Open the ROMCleaner_user.txt with notepad++ and do the business with the "#"
You only have to do this once.
It takes a little while, but worth it in the long run.
3.Put the edited ROMCleaner_user.txt in the Rom Cleaner folder on your sd card,
and put ROM Cleaner v3.4 on your sd card as well.
4.Flash the new ROM.
5.Run ROM Cleaner v3.4 BEFORE it reboots
6.Reboot and enjoy a phone with very little [email protected] on it.

cool so i will have to start from scratch with rom or could i just backup current rom and do the process from that.

Hi,
Before you start this process, make sure you have a nandroid backup .
Although each line of the ROMCleaner_user.txt does have an explanation alongside it,mistakes can be made.
It took me a few goes to get it right
But well worth it in the end.

ok. i will have a check with clear temp. did not explore the newer version as i prefer to us sktools..
but i will still prefer standalone htc twitter cache cleaner
I tried cleartemp and it did not work, every time i update twitter it causes sense to crash.
Been working fine for weeks and suddenly i have a problem. Im in the process of chatting to HTC to resolve, unless someone can suggest where to look??

i have the same problem, please help
It's simple... when you know it
First go to settings and turn off Sence.
Now go with explorer to device\temp\twitEng
Empty the folders Cache and Db.
Turn Sence back on, and your done.
On the Twitter tab you have to sign in again.
Sometimes when you sign in again, it keeps asking you to sign in.
When this is the case, do a soft reset and everything works.
Good luck
Hey guys just a heads up that the Twitter API has been having issues for the past few days causing the tab to crash sense.
LOL,
Yh i managed to figure out the procedure myself last night but didnt have time to post it here
@Chris, just remember to show all files if using File explorer and that you may need to rename a file to anything you want temporily as it will not delete/corrupted, you should then be able to delete the last file. If your using total comm. then shouldnt be a problem.
@Zelendel - yh figured there had been a problem, but hy HD wouldnt work even after Twitters API issue had been resolved, but clearing all files worked
Of course if you wanted you could change the custom files in cleartemp to do this for you, but hey it only took a min or two, so why bother lol.
Now it would be good if HTC did a hotfix that regularly deleted these files as it will of course happen again depending on usage, but hey....
Case resolved.

Nice, I'll take a look
I already do some downloads...its like market lool
how do i get into htchub? i tried but it keeps telling me "unable to download catalog. tap to try again"
It did that to me also on Darkstone's Beta2 ... .but works just fine on mdeejay's latest 3.3a build
Same here. How did you get this to work?
i too would like to know how u got it to work. i have darkstones build which is great..just wish i could get into the hub..although, i did manage to download your wallpapers and ringtones onto my phone using the tether. if i can't get this to work i may have to download the other desire hd build.
i'm uaing mdeejay 3.3a
is it possible to pull some desire hd apps?
i did end up using mdeejay. i just downloaded it on the same card i had darkstones on. i figured i'd experiment because i never had two builds on one card.i always wiped it clean of the previous build b4 applying the new one but it worked flawlessly. i didn't want to get rid of darkstones just in case i had trouble with mdeejay's build..and then had to re-download darkstones... but so far so good and yup, the hub is working !
Don't worry about having to download the build again. Copy and paste all the files from your SD card to your laptop or whatever (create a folder called desire HD dstone configured or whatever) then you can transfer them straight back if you don't like the new build...simples

___---WIDGETS---___
*[DigitalClock.apk] Digital Clock
*[StatusSwitch.apk] Status Switch widget
*[RecentCalls.apk] Recent Calls Widget
*[Search Widget] Googel Search Widget (i do not recomend, un tested)
___---Apps i suggest you don't remove---___

*dialler
*Msging
*places / latitude (its built into maps, u need maps)
*sim toolkit (this can be removed BUT i do not recomend it as some service providers have other apps on the sim card you may need, SO UNLESS YOU KNOW for sure you have never used the sim-toolkit, i recomend leaving it there. [SIM ToolKit 2.1update1]
___---Lost?---___
First you need to root so go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824788
Then install Titanium Backup (i suggest you use this method over root explorer)
http://www.appbrain.com/app/titanium-backup-%E2%98%85-root/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
Or root explorer
http://www.appbrain.com/app/root-explorer-(file-manager)/com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer
Titanium Backup will allow you to Backup/Uninstall and Re-install all of these files, If you have the donate version you can "freeze" an App to see if it breaks the system, and so if you encounter any issues you unfreeze,
OR in root explorer travel to System/app
and make sure you click [Mount RW]
cool anything else dont be afraid to ask, but remember search first!

so it would be really good if u post them in detail..
with full name of application as seen in titanium..
Why would you remove the email client?
Well for most the gmail app will suffice. If you remove the email app you wont be able to click a contacts email address in the phone book and expect it to open an app

[Q] Finally made the jump to CM7 201 from stock 2.3.3, have a few questions

don't know why I waited so long... but here are a few questions I have:
1) it doesnt seem like I have google video chat I thought it came in 2.3.4? I might have restored the old talk binary from my titanium backup in which case do u guys know where I can get the apk?
2) under settings, status, about my phone number is showing as unknown. Did I screw up something?
3) it looks like the clock app bundled with cm7 only carries simple ringtones for the alarm, is there a way to put in some melodies?
4) my work email exchange account puts a restriction whereby I need a security pin on every unlock anyway to get around that?
5) Noticed that the 4G icon is only showing H, is that the same?
thanks CM7 fTW!!!

1) If you go on the cyanogenmod.com website, you should be able to find it along with Google apps. It's a separate download and will need to be flashed separately.
2) No mess up. Just put it back in.
3) You can simply put a folder hierarchy in your internal or external memory like this and put any alarm tones in the folder. It'll show up when you want to select an alarm. It should look like this:
ringtones/alarms/alarm1.ogg
4) No idea, sorry.
5) Same thing, no worries.
thx!

Infuse stock notes *solved see page 2*

When rooting and going with a custom rom I lost my notes app that came on the phone. Is there a addon that i can put on that will restore my notes that i backed up on before the switch?
If you made a nandroid you can just take it from there manually.
Though its best you just use something like evernote that syncs to the cloud so you don't have to deal with that in ze futur.
i did back up the nandroid. is there a how to on that i just want to get all my data?
probably somewhere but it'd be easier to restore it then backup your apps with titanium backup so you have it for any rom you flash.
if you don't have it already its free

ok i went to the back up and its at the samsung screen and fell few vibrates and seems like its reboots to samsung screen and does it over and over doing same thing.
I replaced all stock apps with custom apps:
Gallery - QuickPic
Video Player - mVideo Player
Audio Player - Folder Player
Calendar - Calendroid
Notes - Color Note
Calculator - Realcalc
Browser - Dolphin Mini
I deleted all the stock apps, and set up two tasks in TiBu to backup all new apps, and all apps with changed data every night. I backup these to dropbox every day or two. This keeps data intact, and also helps eliminate customize each of these apps between ROMs.
