Which method should I use to root? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Received my Galaxy S2 Skrocket last week and absolutely. Really fast, and the screen is absolutely amazing. I have been lurking on the forums looking at all the different methods in rooting. The phone shipped with 2.3.5 and kernel version 2.3.6. Haven't been able to do an OTA update either to 2.3.6 so I am just thinking about rooting. Anyone know which one I should use?
Root | CWM | ODIN | SGH-I727 and SGH I727R Skyrocket?
Root [ACS] Skyrocket Easy Root - Windows/Mac/Linux
SuperOneClick v2.3.1 (using zergRush)
S2 Roto v1.5.1 - One click root and UnRoot solution for all Samsung Devices
or DoomLords Easy Rooting Toolkit
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

IF its 2.3.5 do one click root its the best.

I agree. Super One Click is the best. Easiest.
And my custom rom counter hasn't gone up whatsoever... even though I'm flashing roms at least 3 times per day... o-o

+1 on using SuperOneCLick.

Thanks everyone. Super one click got it done . Already enjoying titanium backup is there anything I should do right after I root the skyrocket?

Know a little bit about android, use to have a tmobile mytouch 3g around a year, ago absolutely hated it and gave android a try on a better nicer phone and I fell in love with android. Also does the skyrocket have an unlocked boot rom or no? Have seen mixed answers.

Vivid is really awesome. I'm running his Rom right now and when his update is out in a few days I'm gonna use that as a base. We got alpha cm9 once that gets beta then cm7 is next . Once those are released I'm jumping on it for MIUI and MIUI 4.0

I believe one of the recent prl updates lost 3G data when roaming. Only reason I see to swap prl, at least for me..

Well with sprint they have 2 separate PRL lines, being able to go to the business prl or an older national one is pretty nice. Especially since sprint roaming currently sucks

So I'm about to buy a GS4g and have some basic questions
-Can I use the ROMs available for the Vibrant on this phone . I notice there isn't much of a selection here on the development forum ...
-If for some reason I decide to stick with stock what version of gingerbread is the last official release ?
- Does Google Chat work with the FFC?
Thanks in advance guys and happy new year

- No, the Vibrant ROMs will brick your phone if you try to use them. There are some really good ROMs in the Development section here...Octane, Valhalla, and others.

Running stock and unrooted until T-mo/Samsung release ICS for this phone.
I rooted my previous phone (Exhibit 4G) and got rid of the T-mo bloat, can't wait to do the same for this phone. Only reason I haven't rooted is I worry something may interfere with the OTA update whenever it's released.

HA! Me too! On both counts! Got rid of the exhibit and got the blaze instead. Never got voicemails on that undeveloped thing. It's too bad as besides the voicemail issue I had it was a solid phone.
You should be able to get an OTA update even rooted with CWM (it is still the stock rom after all) - but you may end up needing to download the zip and do it yourself. It shouldn't be too hard to find the zip here on XDA for the stock release once it's out. I actually prefer doing it that way- it's faster -as with other devices I've owned the OTA update wouldn't go through until 3-4 days after its release (sensation 4g, streak 7). I have rooted and got CWM on my phone and removed the bloat and LOVE IT.
Coming from a 1st gen Exhibit 4G makes me thankful that so many great devs are actively developing for our Blaze. Thank you!
I still come to wonder.. What happened to the guy who was building a ROM before the blaze even released.?

Old Good Roms

I'm trying to find some of the old good ROMs and all links seem to be down. Namely I was hoping to find TDJ's darkside sense, faux123's orangeglacier, and any of the gingerbread sense ROMs that were stable. I went back to Royal Ginger a while back and while I love it for the most part, but the camera feels like it uses about 20 pixels to create an image.
Does anyone have these stashed away that could maybe upload them to a file sharing site for me?
I would greatly appreciate it.
Orical might have them. PM him. Also, you might try Insert Coin. It's a pretty good GB Sense ROM. I never had a single issue with it.
