Problem:
I have been literally bogged by this message in market "this app is not compatible with your device" message literally for every other app I frequently use. Nearly every app at some update or the other is starting to give this message, forcing me either search for the apk on net, or go through the painful process of setting dpi to 240, reboot, install, set back at 200, reboot.
Solution:
Last night, most unexpectedly I found the solution. Not sure how many use it, but based on the feedback on the app in app store, I thought maybe not many know about it.
Disclaimer: I am NOT marketing any app here. Am only sharing info 'cos it worked great for me.
1. Install the app "LCD Density Modder Pro" from market. There are two versions - free and paid. Install the paid one. Its only a dollar.
2. Set it to whatever DPI you want. You could do this within the app, or manually using root explorer.
3. Click on "market compatibility issues" button on the bottom part.
4. For Infuse 4G, select "HDPI - 240" in dropdown, and download modded market.
5. Install the downloaded modded market.
Till here, its all a walk in the park.
6. Clear market data.
7. Go to TiBu paid version, and freeze the market updater (this will stop market updating by itself).
8. Reboot.
I had to do this cos "freeze market updater" option did not work in the app.
Hiccup:
A little hiccup though, when I rebooted, it again came up with the issue. I don't know how. I went and cleared the market data, and opened market again, and this time it worked well.
I am not sure how it would go if market updater wasn't frozen. You might need to reapply the modded market after every reboot, and clear data. I am not sure of this part though. Plus I presume most of the guys (girls too) here have TiBu paid version.
Got a reply from the developer that he updated the app, and has an updated modded market that would never auto update itself. Problem solved.
This would take step 7 off from above steps.
Note: For anyone with any questions, let me clear up, I did this and this is working for me.
This would be nice but I have a custom market. I don't want the boring stock green one

You could simply theme the market in it, but wouldn't recommend distributing it 'cos it is a modded one sold with pro version of the app. And trust me, its a lot of pain killer. I am able to see all the apps in market now, even with my DPI at 200.

I have done the Market fix, am running TNT light 4.2 and when I try to find certain apps on the market either through the Market app or from Appbrain, I get either " No matches found" on Market or " the requested Item could not be found" on Appbrain. I am signed into both and am able to download some apps, but not others. I have done the fix using Titanium three times. I think I am missing something simple.
I never use the titanium fix. Just open up market, exit, go to settings > applications > system applications > Market clear cashe then force stop. Go to google services framework, clear data, force stop. exit out of settings. Open the market You should get an error when you open it up. Reboot your g tab. Allow it time to load and get an internet connection. You should have the full market. If you get an error again you may have to redo the steps. There have been times I have had to redo the steps two or three times. Follow the directions to the letter.
Thanks,
I did it without the Titanium fix and it works perfectly. Being new to the Droid world, this is very wierd compared to my WM days.
try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7l-nySibzeA
works everytime in my vegan5.1
sometimes, dont know why, i lose acess to all apps in market... i do that again and works all the time
Moved to general
I am pretty sure there is no such thing as 'full market' on the g-tablet. The fix, whether the titanium or regular fix gets you some apps. The mahimahi build.prop fix gets you even more apps (tv.com was always my standard.) But there are a bunch of apps that will not show... Firefox would be one for me. Now that the market is available on the web, all the apps are available, they just aren't available to be downloaded on g-tab.

Is there a documented way somewhere to, as an example, modify our build.prop file to look like a Galaxy Tab or Galaxy S phone? I have had a hell of a time side loading some apps that the market wont let me download normally (like Facebook) but that work fine on the tablet.
I think I have the market working fine for what I am "supposed" to be able to see and download (I can see TV.com as an app for example).
Would be nice though to just have access to everything and be able to choose what I want and if it doesn't work very well I can just uninstall it. Maybe that's wishful thinking, I don't know. Would love to be able to "spoof" my phone to be a Galaxy Tab, or S though and any help to that end would be greatly appreciated.
Ever since i followed the root procedure here, none of my installed apps show up under Market>My Apps. It searches for a second, then comes up empty. I can install apps just fine if i search>install. I've cleared the data under Settings>Applications>Market numerous times, uninstalled updates, etc. Any ideas? All the searches i've found just say to do what i've already done...
Wierd, mine show up just fine
Download and install ROM Toolbox and fix permissions
If that doesn't work try out the new version that was just released, seems to be a little better on mine. Hopefully you get it fixed

I must be blind, but I don't see fix permissions anywhere in rom toolbox. I've seen it in CWM and Rom Manager before though. I may try the new market if I feel froggy, but it's getting dangerously close to le zonk time for me.
I ran fix permissions from rom manager and tried the new market. No luck. I really don't wanna wipe this thing. It may have broken when I modified for wifi tethering. I can't remember when it started
Im on atrix 4g and it hasn't been working since 6pm today. Just blank screen and at 12 my market updated. On the new market when I go to my apps it says your apps will show here.

I had the same problem with my Samsung captivate. I had to use the app brain market to push all the updates. I'll go check my atrix 2, hopefully I'm not once again plagued with that bug.
Ok so i wiped everything (after backing up of course), and am trying again.
1) Works unrooted, fresh out of the box. "My Apps" shows a few apps i have paid for but not installed.
2) Market updates itself, now "My Apps" empty.
3) Double checked, installed Angry Birds, backed out and still nothing.
Thoughts? Also, last night I tried the latest Market that was posted on Androidpolice and it did the same thing. I do NOT want to use Appbrain.

looks like i'm not alone...
UPDATE: Exchanged phone at lunch today, still same thing after the new market updates.
Hmm, I've been on the Market a few times and i'm still on v3.1.5....not complaining, just an observation. I dunno man, sounds kinda funky to me.
Go to settings. Manage applications. Find market and press uninstall updates. Fixed the market problems for me

i had this problem on a certain rom on my x10. clearing cache AND data in settings > apps > market worked for me. you may need to also clear cache partition or dalvik cache as well to make it work.
try using this to clear cache, clear dalvik after clearing data and cache from market under settings. reboot. see if that helps.

a few days ago I was using Titanium Backup to unlink my apps from the android market that I had gotten from other markets so that the market would stop trying to install updates for those apps and when I did this I looked at MY APPS in the market it is now only showing a 2 boxes. 1 reads browse apps and the other browse games. It also says apps and games owned by this account will appear here. Iv'e tried using the market Dr. on TB but it won't fix it. I also tried to force close the market and wiping the data and uninstalling any market updates. I'm hoping I don't have to reset the phone completely. I've also tried fixing the permissions and rebooting into recovery. Any help would be much appreciated. Samsung Galaxy s 4g
I had this issue once before. I fixed it by logging on to market.android.com and when I did I noticed that my apps were missing from there to. I then logged off of the website and then back on and like magic all of my apps were back. I wont garuntee this as a fix but it did work for me

im having the EXACT same problem... and i even tried a full wipe and fresh install of my rom, and all 200+ apps fresh from market to restore ANY broken market links. still no dice. im on sprints epic 4g touch, found this post on google looking for info lol
i use rom toolbox pro.. no problems here
I used Titanium Backup to uninstall something called the "Market Feedback Agent". I then wiped my cache and dalvik cache and rebooted my phone. My apps showed up in the market after I did this.

EDIT
Just download this App Market Fixer by Kstudio from Android Market.
Use it to scan for offending Apps, Note that it requires active data connection. What it basically does is compare your Apps database with the online Android Market Database and then single out the offending Apps. Presently, the only solution it offers is to uninstall the Apps from your Phone which for me is unacceptable because most of them are Samsung Core System Apps like Videos, Galllery etc, you don't wanna lose your System Apps.
When the scan finish just take note of the offending Apps, it would help to write them down. Do not use their Fix tool because it will delete the Apps from your Phone or if you use REMOVE MARKET LINKS ONLY those Apps will give you FORCE CLOSE afterwards. The best option is go to Titanium Backup --> Batch --> Detach User & System Apps from Market --> Deselect all --> NOW SELECT ONLY THE OFFENDING APPS --> Run the Batch Operation --> Reboot.
After this go back to Android Market and all your Apps will be there. If It didn't work the first time, redo the whole process, maybe you missed one App.
This has 99.9% success and I believe it will work for you.
ADDITION
For those of us that Schedule Backups with TB, you have to do some tweaks to your Preferences if not; after such backups, the whole problem will come back again. This is all you have to do:
Go to Preferences --> Deselect MARKET LINK (When backing up an app, save its Market Link. Requires SQlite).
Be aware that this might happen again if you upgrade ROM or restore whole system with TB Backup, but with such Tool at hand, all it takes is less 3 minutes to fix.
Hope this is helpful
Thank you! I'll not sure exactly what I did that fixed it, but somewhere between using Market Fixer and uninstall/re-installing some apps it working again.
Note to self: stop playing with Market Doctor in TB for no good reason.
Hi
Excuse me for being somehow off topic, I'd want the opposite.
I have a few apps (Youtube & windows theme for Go launcher for example) that I hate their updates and I'd like them to not appear on market update list.
If someond knows how to do this, please PM or send a link.
I searched and couldn't find anything. 10x.

Missing apps in your market app?
Try this! It worked for me. Been through a few reboots already and it's still working.
All credit goes to user darkstarsinner from Rootzwiki!
Go to rootzwiki...com then /topic/14596-fix-android-market-my-apps/
So right up front I would like to point out that this may not work for everybody. But I know it has worked for me.
If your Android Market "My Apps" section is always blank it would appear that it is actually a database issue. If you are rooted this is easy enough to fix.
A couple of things you will need:
JRUMMY's ROM TOOLBOX (note: this is a paid app, please support our devs)
Root Explorer (You may use another explorer however I have noted that not all will show what the files and/or file contents)
Step 1: Open ROM TOOLBOX and go to "BATCH" by going to "APP MANAGER" then clicking your softkey menu button and selecting "BATCH"
Step 2: Slide back one page to reach the "MARKET LINK" page
Step 3: Remove all market links
Step 4: Reboot your phone
Step 5: Open ROOT EXPLORER and find your way to "/data/data/com.android.vending/databases"
Step 6: Delete the "market_assets.db"
Step 7: Reboot your phone
Step 8: Once Phone is booted return to the "MARKET LINKS" page we used to delete all link in ROM TOOLBOX
Step 9: Click "LINK USER APPS" EDIT: I have found that linking ALL system apps may put you back into the same issue. Until we can figure out what system apps cause this only link the ones you see in your app drawer!!
Step 10: Reboot again for safe measure
Step 11: Some report that you should download a free app then uninstall it. You can if you want to but I didn't.
Step 12: Open your Market and go to "MY APPS"
Your Apps should all be there. If not run it again. What have you got to lose?
I hope this helps you all. I currently have use of "MY APPS" and all of my updatable Apps within!!!

I've had this problem for almost two months. I have tried ALL of the different fixes that people have suggested. Deleting things, using Appbrain, install/uninstall Blackmarket, adding links, breaking links.
For a long time I was sure it was linked to the ROM I was using. The last few Hyperdroid ROMs have been missing CSC folder, and possibly it was linked to this.
For a long time I had a Nandriod backup of Hyperdroid V3 where 'my apps' worked, and after testing the latest release from the Hyperdroid team I would go back to my 'working' image.
Recently I downloaded a pirated version of Navigon, and since then 'my apps' has failed to work on any version or image I run, even the (V3 Hyperdroid) one that was working before.
So sadly I must conclude that the missing myapps is NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR PHONE, and everything to do with the google servers. Once you have been 'blacklisted' it is impossible to restore that part of the market process. I still don't see what relevance it has, as it doesn't stop you from buying apps, and if you search your app you can still update it. So a pointless problem from the Google team, of course, why didn't I think of that earlier.
Update: After logging in to a 'vanilla' SG2 straight out of a shop, and using the Market on a clean phone, I can now log into my Hyperdroid rom and see my apps.
So not phone related, but loggiing in from a 'clean' phone resets the error.
SOLVED!!!
I put together a small app aiming to solve this problem. It works on my Atrix and I think same fix *should* work for Atrix 2. Can anyone who has this problrm try the app for me and see if it fixes the problem?

So what is it about the com.motorola.contacts... app that causes the problem?

It works
I am running the Droid X with CM7 and lost the "My Apps" section in the market, too. As like so many out there to no avail were the other fixes, but this one has been successful so far without having to redo it again and again. I don't have to limit to 98 apps or use App Brain for updates. I did however have to clear the market data after I ran the the market fixer and things have been fine since. I was also able to reinstall the 29 applications identified as the problem and have had no further problems. Thank you K Lee you have been a God send. This seems like such a small thing but major. Can't thank you enough.
Hi,
half a year ago I had a "HYBRID" called Rom installed on my Phone. This Rom had several premium apps (aka warez) with them. Accidently, I tried to update some of them back then.
The Rom didn't last long on my phone but now I have problems because of that update-try it seems.
The App "Tapatalk" is marked as paid in my Google Apps section. If i click "Install" it says "Error 403" (not authenticated I guess).
There is no way to remove the app from my App Section it seems. I tried requesting a refund, describing my problem but only thing I got back was a mail telling me that it is a free app?!
Anyone has an idea how i can remove this app from my list so I can buy it?
I had no problems buying other apps so far (Root Explorer and PowerAmp just yesterday), its just this Tapatalk app.
Thanks for your help!
regards
From what I have read it looks like you will not be able to remove it from your list. Did you try clearing the cache and data for the android market app?
Had this problem myself before.
only way I got around it was to freeze market updater, Downgrade to an old market, one of the original greeny ones. 2. something. Then unlink the app from the market. I then choose to buy the app. Then unfreeze your market updater and let it update or flash a new market.
You will need to reboot after most of those steps.
This should hopefully help as it did for me.
Yes. I also have tried a workaround with market fixer that i have found (clear google service framework, delete links, reboot and such stuff).
The app is also marked as "paid" on the Google Website (https://play.google.com/store/search?q=tapatalk&c=apps)
Thanks StephenC82. I will try that!
I've the same problem, but my paid apps were all downloaded for free on GetJar -_-'
I've sent a bug report, they contacted me and after one thousand emails (where they asked me to reset the phone twice etc) they told me that they're working on it and I've just to wait for news from them...
Good luck bro, sadly we're in the same boat
The market thing didnt do the trick, but this topic helped!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1547134
The Javascript code did nothing, but inspecting the element + changing the value to "false" helped. I clicked "purchased" again and it asked me for the payment informations. After that i was able to download the app via the normal play market on my phone
Glad you got it worked out.
Greatttttttttt
