I have done the Market fix, am running TNT light 4.2 and when I try to find certain apps on the market either through the Market app or from Appbrain, I get either " No matches found" on Market or " the requested Item could not be found" on Appbrain. I am signed into both and am able to download some apps, but not others. I have done the fix using Titanium three times. I think I am missing something simple.
I never use the titanium fix. Just open up market, exit, go to settings > applications > system applications > Market clear cashe then force stop. Go to google services framework, clear data, force stop. exit out of settings. Open the market You should get an error when you open it up. Reboot your g tab. Allow it time to load and get an internet connection. You should have the full market. If you get an error again you may have to redo the steps. There have been times I have had to redo the steps two or three times. Follow the directions to the letter.
Thanks,
I did it without the Titanium fix and it works perfectly. Being new to the Droid world, this is very wierd compared to my WM days.
try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7l-nySibzeA
works everytime in my vegan5.1
sometimes, dont know why, i lose acess to all apps in market... i do that again and works all the time

I am pretty sure there is no such thing as 'full market' on the g-tablet. The fix, whether the titanium or regular fix gets you some apps. The mahimahi build.prop fix gets you even more apps (tv.com was always my standard.) But there are a bunch of apps that will not show... Firefox would be one for me. Now that the market is available on the web, all the apps are available, they just aren't available to be downloaded on g-tab.

Is there a documented way somewhere to, as an example, modify our build.prop file to look like a Galaxy Tab or Galaxy S phone? I have had a hell of a time side loading some apps that the market wont let me download normally (like Facebook) but that work fine on the tablet.
I think I have the market working fine for what I am "supposed" to be able to see and download (I can see TV.com as an app for example).
Would be nice though to just have access to everything and be able to choose what I want and if it doesn't work very well I can just uninstall it. Maybe that's wishful thinking, I don't know. Would love to be able to "spoof" my phone to be a Galaxy Tab, or S though and any help to that end would be greatly appreciated.

so i just reflashed my phone yet again trying out a new rom.
so i got it all setup, and first ting i did was goto the market to redownload all my apps. when i first opened the market, up top there were the three usual choices. apps, games, and downloads.
downlaods had listed all my apps that were previously installed, so i was like cool, no need for a nandroid backup. the only nandroid backup i have is for a 2.2 install, i didnt want to install that over a 2.1 update1 rom.
anyways, i started downloading all my apps that were listed then all the sudden the app store closed. now all i get at the top choices are apps games and sprint. theres a listing of BS apps in there, and when i push the menu key and click downloads, all thats there is what i had downloaded so far with seemingly no way to redownload the rest of the stuff that was listed.
where did my top bar downloads button go? i didnt accept an update to market or anything like that so how could it just change like that? how do i get the normal market back on my phone without the sprint crap??? sprint pisses me off some times.
sorry if this is some amatuer question, but a search of the forums didnt reveal too much to me, i dont know if this is a common "problem" (well, its a problem to me because i didnt authorize the changes to my system), or if this is just one of the quirks of android phones i am going to have to put up with.
Wrong section for this question. There is a thread in apps and theme section about this. Its an update from Sprint/Google just hit menu and choose Downloads from there.
right. but what your not getting is the list of all apps downloaded on my account dont show up once the sprint update installs. how do i prevent the update, or revert back? this is why i posted this, i need to know how to undo an update of an application, which as far as i see, this section is about apps and themes. just because i have 7 posts under my belt doesnt call for thread nazi behavior.
I've installed tntlite 2.04 and everything is working smooth. Did the market hack using titanium backup and am able to most applications, including the big ones like Pandora, angry birds, mint, etc. that were missing before so I know the hack was successful. That being said, I am still not able to find specific applications and am not sure why. Specifically I am looking for bluetooth gps. I can find a damn license file in my search, but nothing else turns up. I've gone about this multiple ways with same results.
So my questions is whether anybody else is able to see bluetooth gps applications and if so, what in the hell am I doing wrong? If not, does anybody have a link for the apk. The application is now free from what I can tell, just need to get the apk to attempt to sideload.
The Gtab build.prop uses "test-keys" instead of "release-keys", most likely because it's not an officially supported Android device.
Some apps will not show up for test-key systems, only for release-keys.
These type apps you need to side-load or find on the developers website or such.
I had stumbled upon that somewhere else and was wondering if that was the case. Thanks for the clarification. So, without official google backing you are stuck with test key systems without full access to marketplace... total bummer!
I also noticed that if you can find a market link on the web somewhere it will come up and let you install through the market. Just my experience.
Not sure if that's true. You can see all apps on AppBrain but when you hit the market link or install it'll only work if you have access.
it's possible to install the bluetooth gps program on the gtab, this is how i did it:
download the program throu market on a mobile phone, backup with titanium backup, restore the program on the gtab.
Simple
Hello,
For some reason with my Thunderbolt the apps in the market are not being backed up and re-installing themselves. On my Droid X whenever I would flash a ROM and go into market, all the previously installed apps would be queued up and re-install themselves. So naturally when I got the TB I was expecting this to happen, which it didn’t. I went ahead and re-installed all the apps for a couple days before I had a chance to go through the somewhat lengthy process of rooting. Well, got around to rooting last night and hoping that the apps would back themselves up now thinking maybe they would only re-install on the same device I flashed a ROM with no luck. Anyone have an idea of what could preventing this from happening on this phone?
When I look on market.android.com it shows the apps installed so I can’t re-install them from the comfort of the web. Any ideas?
Thanks
I had this problem before too. What I did was go into Settings - Applications, and find "Market". I then cleared the cache and the data. I cycled power to the phone and the next time I went into the Market app it added all my previously purchased and free apps correctly. Hope this helps!

I dont think the market does an automatic backup. And the history it keeps is sketchy at best, it looses alot of apps i had installed. Appbrain would be a better option, it doesnt autoreinstall, but will let you do batch installs. Even better would be a true backup app like Titanium backup, it backs up your apps and assosiated data. But with your current setup, you can tell the market to install the app again, it will work, even if it thinks it is already installed.
a few days ago I was using Titanium Backup to unlink my apps from the android market that I had gotten from other markets so that the market would stop trying to install updates for those apps and when I did this I looked at MY APPS in the market it is now only showing a 2 boxes. 1 reads browse apps and the other browse games. It also says apps and games owned by this account will appear here. Iv'e tried using the market Dr. on TB but it won't fix it. I also tried to force close the market and wiping the data and uninstalling any market updates. I'm hoping I don't have to reset the phone completely. I've also tried fixing the permissions and rebooting into recovery. Any help would be much appreciated. Samsung Galaxy s 4g
I had this issue once before. I fixed it by logging on to market.android.com and when I did I noticed that my apps were missing from there to. I then logged off of the website and then back on and like magic all of my apps were back. I wont garuntee this as a fix but it did work for me

im having the EXACT same problem... and i even tried a full wipe and fresh install of my rom, and all 200+ apps fresh from market to restore ANY broken market links. still no dice. im on sprints epic 4g touch, found this post on google looking for info lol
i use rom toolbox pro.. no problems here
I used Titanium Backup to uninstall something called the "Market Feedback Agent". I then wiped my cache and dalvik cache and rebooted my phone. My apps showed up in the market after I did this.

EDIT
Just download this App Market Fixer by Kstudio from Android Market.
Use it to scan for offending Apps, Note that it requires active data connection. What it basically does is compare your Apps database with the online Android Market Database and then single out the offending Apps. Presently, the only solution it offers is to uninstall the Apps from your Phone which for me is unacceptable because most of them are Samsung Core System Apps like Videos, Galllery etc, you don't wanna lose your System Apps.
When the scan finish just take note of the offending Apps, it would help to write them down. Do not use their Fix tool because it will delete the Apps from your Phone or if you use REMOVE MARKET LINKS ONLY those Apps will give you FORCE CLOSE afterwards. The best option is go to Titanium Backup --> Batch --> Detach User & System Apps from Market --> Deselect all --> NOW SELECT ONLY THE OFFENDING APPS --> Run the Batch Operation --> Reboot.
After this go back to Android Market and all your Apps will be there. If It didn't work the first time, redo the whole process, maybe you missed one App.
This has 99.9% success and I believe it will work for you.
ADDITION
For those of us that Schedule Backups with TB, you have to do some tweaks to your Preferences if not; after such backups, the whole problem will come back again. This is all you have to do:
Go to Preferences --> Deselect MARKET LINK (When backing up an app, save its Market Link. Requires SQlite).
Be aware that this might happen again if you upgrade ROM or restore whole system with TB Backup, but with such Tool at hand, all it takes is less 3 minutes to fix.
Hope this is helpful
Thank you! I'll not sure exactly what I did that fixed it, but somewhere between using Market Fixer and uninstall/re-installing some apps it working again.
Note to self: stop playing with Market Doctor in TB for no good reason.
Hi
Excuse me for being somehow off topic, I'd want the opposite.
I have a few apps (Youtube & windows theme for Go launcher for example) that I hate their updates and I'd like them to not appear on market update list.
If someond knows how to do this, please PM or send a link.
I searched and couldn't find anything. 10x.

In Titanium Backup - Market Doctor will break market links.
Any free solution?

I do not know if this is normal, but if I install app from web, it will not download the app into my tablet immediatelly. Instead, I have to open market on my tab, then the download starts. Moreover, after installing the app I often also get a message in the notification area saying, that the application is already installed... I think, that it worked before on background without the need to start the google play. I disabled several apps, none of them should be related to market. Any idea?

Seems to depend on the connection to the Google servers -- I've seen this sometimes, but other times the install went through without a hitch. I wouldn't worry about it, it's a bit hit or miss.
