I started a new thread cause the other is unreadable...
REMEMBER: I don't have this device so i need you to get the CWM working and, if you are asking yourself why i'm doing this you have to know that vndlsm asked me to port it for the Galaxy-Y
This is the first attempt to get a permanent CWM recovery, and for now it's only for DXKL2 Firmware, maybe it can works also with other FW but i really don't know.
HOWTO:
- Flash the attached tar with odin ( PDA field);
BEFORE TEST IT FOLLOW THIS GUIDE TO BACKUP YOUR KERNEL!
NEW VERSION:
Since the odin version had some issue please try to install in recovery the zip version. Then report to me...
Haven't tested it as yet, but I guess single file flashing doesnt work for galaxy y..
will test and report.

I think that it'll works.. or at least i wish
nope.. fail always comes out
I am now trying(after backup as u instructed) on DXKL1 (non-stock rom)
Edit: fail.. as usual..
sgy cant really flash in 1 package :/
Ok, i really made a mistake... try now!
Done, waiting for it to power up.. seems stuck
Its stuck on logo :|
Is it specific for DXKL2
Darn.. I guess I bricked it..
Can get into download mode though.. but odin doesn't work.
now download mode gone too :/
Fixed.. phew!!
if u reflash to your stock rom will your kernel be repaired too?

Is there reason to expect that the error has been corrected? Hope so.

The recovery builder is now building version 6 of the recovery. The main changes are as follows:
Backups are much faster. 4-5x faster. (Bug fix due to excessive status updates of the UI and new backup technique)
Incremental backups are smaller. Way way smaller. Only 15-20MB each for each additional backup of a ROM. This is done using a new tool I wrote to dedupe the files between incremental backups to eliminate duplicates.
Here's a test build for maguro (Galaxy Nexus GSM):
http://download.clockworkmod.com/test/maguro-test-recovery.img
And the builder site:

Still in alpha, please test.

I made a build for defy(as attachment in this post).
It seems you have to press both vol up/down at the same time once so it says "Back menu button enabled".
Before you do that, the power-button will just show/hide the menu.

Touch-Version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28367524&postcount=11
Thanks for this, I ran out of thanks today.
Edit: U need to press the home button continously untill a msg comes "back menu button enabled". The power button for selection can work only after this.
I tried to restore with this recovery but it gave me error saying, "unable to format /data". Can somebody else test it. Maybe bcoz the recovery is still in alpha.
Great job ... i make a lot of backups while testing n jumping frm one rom to the next ... increased speeds are always welcome ....
Cool, thanks very much!!!

I don't know if it's an error with the ROM or if I made a mistake but I could not enter TWRP until reinstalling it after installing the zip.
The ROM itself boots without problems/FCs/errors.

maximus is basically the stock htc sense 5 android 4.2.2 rom we never officially got, i included performance and battery tweaks from my cm11s rom, think of this rom as the Android Revolution HD rom for the One S, smooth, stock, stable and great battery life
been trying to install this but i keep getting an error when installing in the recovery.
