Hi everyone!
Got this Miphone A3 yesterday, and I been searching like a fool after information about this damn phone but it ain't a easy thing to find.
But hey, what do you expect from a cloned iphone
So here's my question:
Anyone sitting on a Miphone and have you done anything with it, most imporant for everything, ROOTED?
Phone info on the phone:
Model number:
A8
Where I bought it, it said A3 on the site (mobino1), same on the battery.
But instead of the iPhone Ui it has the Android Ui pretty sweet that it didnt have the iPhone Ui.
Firmware:
1.5
Don't have Android Market app, but everything looks like Android, also works to install . apk apps tried to install apps from 1.6+ but doesn't work.
Kernel:
2.6.25
Build number:
Linkworld Project .0002_A.1_01r_100129
Been looking for that build number for a while now, don't have any info at all on that one.
Hope some1 here has some info, would be a blessing for me!
EDIT:
I found my way into what i think is the recovery mode, came up a where is said enter flash mode put in usb cable, with red background. Then when i did that, the screen turn blue saying "Enter Flash mode, Begin to flash image..."
Been reading a lot, and i never came up with that kind of "bootloader" just saying that
hope some1 could give me some tips
hi, one of the stores provided firmware from A3, I do not know how fresh. ussd queries are unsuccessful, after ussd calls to hang up. In flash mode turns pressing the upper side volume buttons and switch.
depositfilescom/files/0po3pwcu6 - miphone A3 rom
thanks for that one!
flashed my phone, worked! but it wasnt the same version. this one was with the iphone ui (using ahome)
Model number:
A3
Build number: A3 Project.0001_18r_100411
Seems like my 3G connection does not work with this version. ussd, unsuccessful on this version too, same with previous version.
I was wondering, tried to open the one.bin (flash image) but cannot extract it. Any way to extract the image and try to reconfigure the build?
the phone using "tavor platform" flashing software, anyone know anything about tavor platform?
still trying 2 modify the rom I have, no luck so far.
I do also have this phone from mobino1...
how do you try to modify the firmware you have?
Regards,
xift
miphone a3
I too am with the same problem I have software for Tavor flashing but without success for updated the firmware is in a single bin file without being able to extract and modify
if anyone knows how do to then updated

I been trying to extract the .bin file MagicIso can read the file using it "missing files" but can't read the files when extracted. Trying to find a program that could read the rom file, have you done anything to update the phone? Do you have a rom file, if so could you upload it pls?
tried to get the firmware from mobino1 but they just ignore mig those bastards.

Do you want to flash your phone with the .bin file you already have or do you want to know how to update the phone to android 1.6+?
To flash your phone with tavor flashing software, you need to run the flash program in XP and press "volume up" and "power" on the phone to get to flash mode, then plug in the usb with the flash program open, and it automatically flash the phone.
About updating the phone to a newer version of android I have not a solution.
I been trying to, get info on the hardware so I could try to cook a own rom with at least android 2.0
Cheers
sorry i don't have the firmware as a rom file either...
and these mobino1 bastards ignore me too ^^
although they admitted they could contact the developers...
new firmware would be nice... or at least the current firmware.
I did not downgrade it yet and I think I won't do that.
Another problem could be that the bootloader only runs signed firmware image (just guessing).
I know how to flash I want is a newer room the problem these Chinese are not then updated dependent on us for a updated
(question) has a possibility to use, one firmware and change to a bin file to MiPhone a3

If they just told me straight up, we just sell the phone, we don't have any contact what so ever with the manufacture or developers I would accept it. But this just pissed me off.
I've been asking around on other sites that sells the phone, waiting on answers from them. Hopefully they are more friendly.
Don't downgrade, that was a mistake for me (the rom file azat182 nicely posted).
I tried something yesterday, made a own .bin file with android 2.1 but the flash program wouldn't start with it (parse ini error) so I tricked the flash program that it would flash the one.bin (azat182) rom file.
After it opened I replaced the .bin file with mine. Everything seems to work fine, did every step it should like, root system etc finished 100% when I tried to turn the phone on I couldn't, maybe it didn't know were the power "button" source came from.
The android source was made for an other phone, so I wasn't surprised.
Plugged the usb back in, and luckily the phone connected somehow with the computer so I flash it with the (azat182) rom and I'm back at square -1
but now I think, if I could find out the hardware/drivers on this damn phone it would work to cook a own rom using that method.
Cheers
Oh hey, someone else with one of these phones. I've been messing with mine for a while, started out with the A8 rom (from fastcardtech), and have flashed the A3 rom to the device. I've noticed that the gps works a lot better in the A3 rom than the A8, so it's not much of a downgrade, imo. Recently I've made some headway with an android 2.1 port to the device.
Anyway, this device isn't hard to root. If you adb into it, you can get root from the device by remounting /system as RW and pushing a fixed su binary to /system/bin, or wherever it goes, it's been a while
The MTD partitioning in the Miphone's rom is a big giant mess. The rom is split into 25 partitions, the kernel isn't in boot.img like it's supposed to be, neither are the kernel parameters.
The bootloader is dumb, it doesn't check for signed images. The A3 image and A8 image are both engineering builds.
wow you seem to know a lot about it...
does 3g work for you in the a3 rom? also gps doesn't work for me in a8... so a3 could be a possibility if 3g worked.
how did you adb your phone? I could not connect... the driver just didn't show a phone. although I changed the vendor ids etc...
could you write a short tutorial of some sort? would be nice!
if you are root, couldn't you make a backup of your firmware?
is there a downloadable a8 rom at fastcardtech?
regards, xift
I haven't been able to get 3g working, just edge. I don't think the 3g will work in the US, as none of the carriers will work with just wcdma2100, but I'm no expert on the subject. I've had reasonably good luck with the gps with an app called Maverick, but I don't have a data plan currently, so no agps. With gps alone, it takes about a minute or so in an open area to acquire a lock.
For ADB, there's a driver in the android sdk, but don't bother with it. Instead, the phone's going to show up as a rndis/ethernet gadget. For windows, drivers for this can be found at webos-internals.org/wiki/USBnet_networking_setup, just the .inf is all you'll need; MacOS and Linux will just see the ethernet gadget. Once that's installed, the phone will show up on the PC side as a network interface that will need an IP address; I've been using 169.254.231.10 and subnet 255.255.255.0. Once your network interface is configured, you should be able to run adb connect 169.254.231.168:5555, assuming you've got your android sdk tool set up already. From there, you can adb shell in and poke around. Once you get an adb shell, you'll have a root prompt, but to get 'rooted' so that other android apps can make use of it, you'll want to run adb remount to remount /system as RW, then copy a working version of su over to the phone. I think superuser whitelist comes with one.
I don't usually go to that much trouble, as I end up cycling between the A3 firmware and my Eclair build a lot, and the A3 rom is jacked up to where it's a pain to get a terminal emulator running on it. Adb from my desktop seems to get the most mileage.
Fastcardtech didn't have any useful information about recovery firmware that they had, a release date for an android 2.1 rom, information on the manufacturer, anything.
Wow thanks a lot... I tried with the sdk driver.
port 5555 seemed blocked there although it was obviously responding (took much longer than other ports). Thanks for your help - I'll try that one.
Could you upload your eclaire build?
I don't have much time at the moment because of my bachelor's thesis. But I'd like to see that and maybe I could help a bit. Although I do not have any experience with mobile devices etc.
You may need to mess with the usb debugging option. After flashing to the a3 rom, it's enabled. I remember it being the same between the a8 and a3 roms.
At some point, yeah, I'll my eclair build up. I'd like to at least get bluetooth, gsm and wifi going again before I do. I don't have a rom that you'd be able to flash currently; more like a big pile of build scripts, and install scripts for the android system and ramdisk.
yeah I understand that. You could open a google code project or something.
nice to know that there is somebody working on this.
usb debugging is enabled by default. I'll just have to try again.
thanks for your help so far.
file inf
I not have disk only cd and dvd when I will install the drive without the disk says no drive found I save the file as usbnet-pre.inf
if anyone can help me pls
well I also had problems installing the driver in windows ...
It always said something like "No driver found at that location".
You could try on linux though... It worked like a charm for me.
I'm root now
@nsigma is there anything I could provide you from the a8 image?

For some reason I can't get my Polaris to run the latest Android version (i.e. Froyo).
1. Downloaded latest kernel (polaimg-panel3-320-froyo-07-07-10.nbh)
2. Downloaded last build (Incubus26Jc's Super FroYo RLS10)
3. Put last build (.tar or .tgz file) on SD card in directory /andboot
4. Flashed by using NBH file together with RUU Update Utility
Now it gets tricky:
a) or the system reboots, vibrates twice, I see a red and blue line and then a black screen and nothing;
b) or the system reboots, I get the Android installation menu after pressing middle button, install, but after soft reset I get a "No such file found" kind of system error
Can someone help me getting Android on my old Polaris? Thanks!

Same for me with polaimg-panel3-320, but it works great with polaimg-panel1-320-24-05-10.nbh
Thanks! Got it working with the older NBH file. Not completely flawless, but it works!
Don't use the old polaris panel 1 nbh, instead download the latest and then use this utility to change it to panel 1.

Thanks!!! Got it working with the latest NBH files! Great!!!
Hey, Could anybody unswer me on two questions.
1. why we have to change from panel3 to panel1 in this nbh file?
2. what is that mean panel3 or 1? why DZO do this type of the nbh (with panel3 i mean)?
thanks a lot, ithin it will helps not only me but everyone in future who didn't know about this modification

The panel type depends on revision of your polaris, more specifically the make of the lcd panel, see here. I just tried every panel until I found one that works, I use panel 1.
Thanks a lot, but could you please answer me again. How i will know what kind of LCD panel in my Polaris and which number i should use?
these parameters is placed in my start-up file for the haret launcher
#alloctest 0x2000
set RAMSIZE 0x08000000
set MTYPE 1723
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "board-htcpolaris.panel_type=1 pm.sleep_mode=1 mddi.width=240 mddi.height=320 no_console_suspend clock-7x00.mddi=0xa51 hw3d.version=1"
boot
can i use panel type from here?
i have opened this polaimg-panel3-320-froyo-07-07-10.nbh file in NBH editor and saw that the HW3D is set in Eclair. Should i change this to Froyo or left as is?
Thanks a lot for the conception)))
pannel type 1...
Did I brick my Polaris?
Well, it makes me laugh looking at the last post dated back July 2010 but I decide to post anyway because I feel somebody might have passed through my problems and might help.
Following indications on this forum:
1. I downloaded:
- Kernel: polaimg-panel3-240x320-2.6.32-froyo-09-09-10_21.nbh
- Last build: Incubus26Jc's Super FroYo RLS16 All Languages
2. Put last build (androidinstall.tgz) on SD card in directory /andboot
3. Used RUU Update Utility to flash the nbh file
Everything when smoothly. When it reboots, it vibrates, "Smart Mobility" message shows up, vibrates twice and then a blank screen is displayed.
Going through this forum I think I might have used the wrong type of panel and should have used Panel 1 instead of 3. So I downloaded Windows NBH Editor and managed to change the nbh into Panel 1. Then I shall try again.
This time my Windows 7 is unable to recognize my Polaris and all it can see is a new Disk Drive with no ADB device displayed. So I installed PdaNet302.exe to implement the USB driver for HTC Android Phone but it still cannot see my device and the process aborted.
What worries me is that one step of the process requested to change a setting on the Polaris (On your phone, click Settings > Applications > Development and make sure USB Debugging is on.). Obviously I can't do that as the screen is completely white!
I believe if I can manage to have my PC talking with my device then the problem will be fixed with the panel1-based flash. But every attempt to install the USB driver for Android Phone regularly fails on my PC.
All that time the Polaris remains with the lighted blank screen and there is no way to turn it off as the on/off switch refuses to work.
Shall I buy a new phone? Thanks for your help.
Did you try flashing the phone with a regular oficial HTC rom? just try it. Put the phone in the boot mode (press camera button and another one, dont recall which one) It will change to the tri color screen. Then connect it and try it.
Also there is a modified nbh rom which includes nothing, just the tool to recover your rom. Do a search to the forum.
I recently tried to install on my Polaris and it went really wrong. And finally could recover. The file is called ROMUpdateUtility_task29. I will erase everything on the phone but later you will be able to recover it
Form that point no more experiments. Polaris was made to work with Windows Mobile. It's really unstable, video camera is useless. And so on.
PC Carvalhon rom and I can use my phone as I want.
regards.

A second life for my Polaris
Kafkacell,
1. Following your suggestions, I successfully started the bootloader (camera touch while reset), the 3-colour screen appeared, Windows 7 recognised the device. I then flashed the offcicial RUU_Polaris_HKCSL_WWE_3.19.831.3_radio_sign_25.85.30.07_1.59.42.15_Ship and everything successfully completed. With enormous pleasure I see again my Polaris back to activity. Thanks for giving my Polaris a second life.
2. Back to Feb 2009, I flashed a pcarvalho eXtreme ROM. I don't recall any longer the version of this ROM but it was very stable and never ever crashed. Recently I downloaded and flashed most recent ROMs. From that moment on, I have no peace. It crashed 2, 3 times a week. Now I wish I could go back to the old version but couldn't find it. Perhaps pcarvalho removed them to save space? May I ask you which pcarvalho eXtreme ROM version do you currently run. Thanks.
Im currently running 29022 version (latest update from PCCarvalho).
Notes:
UPDATE:
29022 is up
this is a fix release...sound issues should be gone...had to remove htc volume control is it still has issues...fixes minor gfx glitches...updated to lastest and probably final leak version of wm6.5.3 (29022)...will from now on work on unresolved issues and finalize rom...this will still take some time due to work...
updated physics engine and utask app by ultrashot...my thanks to him...
patched htc album to novsync, faster scrolling once cache is made...
removed no longer supported apps (my phone and marketplace)...if u need them install via cab...
Here is the link for the rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15707730&postcount=8079
it was posted on July of this year, and so far it runs great. The trick is to not install a lot of apps in your main memory. Do it on your SD card. Also a hard reset is a must to avoid all kind of problems.
regards and glad you have your phone back to life
Like i've posted in the setup thread from Liquid, this setup is the best i've tried until now, the only one that make missing call an old history in fact
Another better than ever pola 100 nand / nand setup
Download rom (5.5 version - 6 doesn't work with polaris kernel) : Scoot CyanogenMod (RLS5.5) [16.03.2011] and put it on your sdcard in a directory named andboot (at the root level)
with atool download the latest 2.6.32 kernel, modify it as desired
flash your unlocked phone following this tutorial or use atool scripting ability
update needed : none
work : everything except camera !!!! very smooth and very reliable(no missed call for 1 week, that's a revolution) and not so bad battery life
finally, development kernel seems to be not so far from "ready to production" status, with even better nand stability
we're waiting rom update and next krazykilla's kernel with polaris support, for a better stability and ability tu put data on ext4 partition
Thank you to scooter, liquid nr2jt and all androidhtccrew for their tuff work
Nand is not perfect and run corruption sometime that crash your setup : use the nand startup "backup/restore" data ability after you have configured your rom and favorite applications, to avoid loss of everything : it will create a 256Mb image of nand memory in your SD card /andboot directory that you can restore later in case of crash.
you can increment this backup later if you are happy with future modification of your rom
TIPS : noticed that setup as it is is good enough, people at cyanogenmod know their business
- Tip 1 : in atool, you can try to increase advanced battery capacity to improve accuracy because N2jrt has noticed battery calculation is not good and there's a correction factor of 1.6 to apply (i put 1900 but you can increase to 2200 in theory)
- Tip 2 : you can download Roguetool from the market to overclock your phone
- Tip 3 : try the app named killerauto from the market, it does a very good job with very comprehensive settings to free your ram in real time (and increase battery life)
- Tip 4 : In cynogenmod parameters/performance : check the "keep home in memory option" and activate compcache (10%) to get better result - i don't activate JIT
- Tip 5 : i've noticed that's the battery widget is cause of some trouble sometime, you can get rid of it in this case
what's next
- make polaris' atool development kernel compatible with release 6 : thx to scooter and liquid by advance
- Make crazykilla kernel with ext4 support available for polaris (release from his #54 thread doesn't work for me) or maybe unified every kernel to get the best one
crazykilla's kernel is a usual kernel without the polaris support compiled, i don't know why the #54 version don't work and i can't test it anymore (my polaris has a toasted nand).

Blinking screen
I've tried it with my XDA Orbit II and all I get is the white blinking screen after running haret. It's written in the man that it takes a lot of time, so I left it and went to sleep When I woke up, the screen was still blinking the same way and had to remove the battery to reboot. WM booted fine, there were files system.img and data.img created on the microsdcard of the size of 300mb (I don't want to flash it on NAND as it is my first attempt to install new software on phone). I tried Froyo, now trying Eclair and after an hour it looks the same. What might be wrong? Should I try stable kernel or other setups?

i don't know such setup sorry, i work on nand only to get real speed
I don't want to try flashing on NAND until I find a setup that would satisfy me and work well as I would in practice lose the phone for some time while trying to make it work. So far I've succesfully installed this, but I can't make the PIN code work. I tried to disable it in WM in phone settings, but when I do it, it requires me to enter the PIN, and doesn't accept it, just as Android does :/ Does the PIN code problem occurs in NAND installation as well?
this setup is really not ready. i tried so many times and it always hangs and at the end you'd be reinstalling the system back. I'm sticking back to the Not-So-Super-Froyo setup and has since found it to be very very stable although no camera and no GPS working on it. Just a bit of tip to all those who try and occasionally reinstall, after you have found a good stable setup, install your basic favorite apps and games, then get reboot the phone, access the Android Boot Menu and choose Backup Data on the choices. The system will save your stable setup on an image file on your sdcard. So anytime you have a system crash, you can just choose to Restore Data from the Boot Menu. Saves you a lot of installation.

what kernel do you use ? i use liquid's 2.6.25 + kernel update
I finally follow your advise and came back to "not so super" and begin to use the "backup data" function...
The best setup so far
I've tried deactivating in WM, but that doesn't work as I've written above. I also tried to disable PIN using my friend's LG AT&T and it didn't work either so I guess I have to try some PC software or go to my service provider and ask them to do it. Thanks for replies.

yeah that's why i try other roms today (i'm in a rom rush ) to see if situation is better with backup trick
i saw the great nr2jt say in a topic that he save is data every morning to prevent its loss
that's why i give another try with scoot 5.5 with liquid's 2.6.32
Hey liquid do something for us to use 6 release
post 1 updated
After numerous builds+kernels, loads of frustration (and the inevitable revert to wm for a while) I think I like this setup. Simplicity at its best, Scoot CyanogenMod (RLS5.5) and latest 2.6.32 from atools as per 1st post. Just re-purposed the camera button as 'home'. Even my headset works, albeit intermittently.
Which settings for ATools for pola200?
Hi,
i tried to install this rom on my german pola200. But on the Linux Bootscreen the text is scrolling down and sayes that it installs the rom. But than it scrolls down error messages.
I tried this for houres but it shows no final error or something. The Text is scrolling on and on.
So i think that i used the wrong settings in atool. I used this tutorial to set up atool: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/androidhtc/wiki/HowToInstallWithAtoolsNand
What settings should been used?:
- What version to select?: Donut, Eclair or Froyo?
- Best settings for sd-card-partition? I used first partition 3 gb fat32, second partition 1 gb ext2.
- where should i install system and data? Both on second sd-partition? Or should there be a third partition? (the first time i tried to install the system on intern memory but install runs out of space)
Can you please explain the right settings in atool?
best version is froyo.
to choose sd-card partition, you must have your sdcard PREPARED beforehand. Atool does not partition your sdcard for you. As of what to use to partition your sdcard you can search it at google. (im sorry im a little bit short on time now). choose NAND on both system and DATA.
atools has sd partioner inside so you can repart sd card (boot script editor Y), but the sdcard must have only one partition on it (fat32).
i stand corrected thanks l1qu1d.
Hello.
I´m new owner of Xoom "refurbished by motorola" bought on Don´tRetail.
With serie rom, updated by OTA to 3.2, all run perfectly. Enough smooth and run, but Quadrant give me a poor results (1700 points).
After unlock, flash recovery clothwork (3.2.0.0 rc4), I flash tiamat roms (2.0, updated 2.01, and later 2.1 hammerhead).
In all this scenaries, when just flash the new rom, work correctly, but when I installa any application...oh oh...
...when I press power button to suspend it, after eight second Xoom automatic reboot.
I back to stock status (reflash serie rom, serie recovery...all serie) and xoom work correctly.
when I reflash to use another time Tiamat´s rom...here is the problem...when I installed any application, if I suspend Xoom reboot automatically after eight second.
If I plug xoom to pc, and in "cmd terminal" I made:
adb logcat
I can suspend xoom without it reboot.
I tried to elevate minimal frecuencyes in setcpu, but same results.
I tried to do a logcat > logcat.txt in terminal emulator, and suspend the xoom...same result...reboot after eight second.
Any sygestions for I can use Tiamat roms???? With stock rom I have 1700 point in quadrant...with Tiamat without overclock (my xoom don´t let me overclock ) I have 2800 points.
A lot of thanks....Im so frustrated
Ok, I am just asking this to make sure I am 100% clear with this story.
Everytime you do an image with no apps and you shut down, the Xoom doesn't restart, but when you download applications it does... If this is so, I would suggest that you list the applications that you put on your tablet when it does restart, because to me, it sounds like it is an application that is bugging out on the Xoom.
Android systems are set up to force a restart if there are too many system resources being chewed up by applications that are a "High Priority" status and this causes a system resource lock up, and unfortunately, the only way to fix that is to force restart the system. IF it is a app that is doing it, all you need to do is make sure that app is not running to allow it to do so. Good ways of finding out is to use Titanium Backup (Marketplace) to freeze the apps (but that is only for a paid version...) or as someone else just previously suggested in another forum post is Autorun Manager where it allows you to freeze applications from starting up.
I would also suggest that you use the LogCat function in the SDK Tools that is stored in DDMS (aka ddms.bat located in the SDK TOOLS Section). This little program will allow you to do LogCat on your computer as well as save the log as a txt to upload to us (or for easy copy and paste) and as well as allows you to take screen shots and so forth. This might help you out finding the problem too as well as help us
So could you please give us these details to help you out even more?
Is this a Wi-fi only or 3g model that you bought?
Current Rom and Kernel (if I am wrong on the next two posts)
~Guess on Rom is: 2.1 hammerhead
~Guess on Kernal is: (I did not see where you said what the current Kernel was...)
Current Application List that Forces the Xoom to kill itself and reboot, even if it is just one... it might allow us to help you obtain a compatibility issue (if others are having the trouble with the same applications)
You had this trouble after you flashed the new ROMs, are the correct version? (aka Wi-fi only vs 3g romsm, cause there are 3g roms for Tiamat)
Did you clear the cache before and/or after you put the new ROMs on?
I hope we can get this resolved as soon as possible for you!

to get DDMS if you do not have it yet, please go here -- http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html -- and you will be able to get step by step walk through to get the SDK. You will need to launch in Terminal/Command Prompt (depending on the Computer Operating System that you use.)
Firts...a lot of thanks for your answer.
With original-stock rom all work all right. My machines arrived with 3.1 Honeycomb, and via OTA updated to 3.2 (HTJ85B).
With this roms, all work correctly. I installed a lot aplications and work allright. I root this rom, and all are working well.
If I try to install any rom from Tiamat, doing previous wipe, the rom runs perfect. I install Titanium to reinstall all my aplications, and all work well. I can work about hours without problems...but with this roms (with all tiamat´s kernel and launpad kernel...) in the moment I suspend, after 8 or 9 second the tablet reboot automatically.
I tried to do a clean install, and only install one aplication, like flash player...and all are ok. After it, install another one, and after it another...but at tirth or fourth there is the problem another time...and tried with diferent aplications. Sometimes the problem go after install flasplayer, sometimes after install RepliGo, sometimes after install dolphinHd...
The more stranger thing is that if a plug the tablet to pc, and make a "adb logcat"...if I suspend de tablet...no problem, no reboot.
It´s possible that mi gpu aren´t righ? I say this because I guess that when the system go suspend, the gpu frecuencies go down (or gpu voltajes) and this made machine reboot... and it´s possible with tiamat´s kernel voltajes and/or frecuencies GPU are diferent than in stock rom.
It´s possible flash a tiamat rom without customiced kernel??? If I could try a tiamat with stock kernel, or with gpu without variation in voltajes or frecuencies.
NOTE: sorry for my english

I would actually ask if you have your wifi set to go off when the screen is off. This is a known issue...unless the wifi sleep policy is set to Never, the Xoom may reboot when the screen is off. It could be as simple as that.
Oh oh...so many probes that I don´t Know if I change wifi policy or not
But I remember dont change this between flash and install all apks.
At this weekend I´ll probe it and say you, now I need stable tablet to work.
A lot of thanks.

You can set it under wifi in Settings--->Networks...
Good luck!
Is there any way to install linux distribution aside from android onto my TF101, dual boot if possible, with not-so-many-bugs?
I tried x3maniac's way of installing it, however, I had 1.35GB available disk space (which ****** sucks), and I couldn't even load pages in Chromium, so basically, it was no use. After apt-getting codeblocks, i couldn't save a .cpp file lol.
Thank you in advance.
You can get an app called complete Linux installer from the market. Thing is, you need a kernel that supports loop devices, and it runs on TOP of android. That's the best I've seen

For x3maniac's you need to run 'sudo resize2fs /dev/mmcblk0p8' in the terminal after installing to resize the partition to ~5gb, the chromium issue has also been fixed with the new kernels and they are also overclocked. The only problem is that x3maniac's kernels have problems with the system freezing.
NoDiskNoFun's net-install was very stable especially with jhinta's kernel, the only problem I had with it was that the boot time would take 1-2 minutes extra if the system couldn't connect to a known wifi network. The major thing is that you wont be able to complete the install without a wifi connection (has to download several hundred megabytes of packages to setup).
lilstevie's 11.10 image while stable, was fairly slow, lacked hardware acceleration and couldnt report battery levels (only from the terminal).
NoDiskNoFun's ubuntu would probably be the most stable and the fastest for you, x3maniac's still has it's issues.

Hey Mn5612,
I've installed x3maniac's tubuntu, and while I do really like it and appreciate all of his work, I have heard that NoDiskNoFun's net-install had many advantages in terms of customization and stability. I flashed his img over my recovery partition, and everything was fine, booted into setup, but then I can't get the wifi to connect to complete the installation. I am running open WEP
Nothing comes up when I do a scan, status is "Could not get status from wpa_supplicant," and when I manually try to add values I get "Failed to enable network in wpa_supplicant configuration." So I go through setup, and nothing downloads while I'm completing all of the steps.
I tried using v0.5 where the install is primarily in terminal, tried all of the WEP options, then I tried tethering my phone with all of the different encryptions, then left it as an open hotspot, nothing, no detection, no connection.
I've looked all over the forums and at general llinux forums for solutions, but no one seems to have quite the same problem, or their solution is not feasible on this distro or someone working in windows. I have a very basic knowledge of linux, I mainly run a windows box, but I always like to learn more. In any case, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hey,
I had the same question about a year ago. I looked around and found this thread from lilstevie. It will guide you to install a dual boot setup between a nvflashable ROM of your choice and Ubuntu. I had it running very well with no major issues, but of course there will be some bugs. Heck, Linux often has bugs even on a normal PC platform. I remember flash player was probably the biggest issue, but I'm sure there are ways to get it working. If I remember correctly I think I gave Ubuntu 8gb and I gave Prime 3.2 whatever was left out of the 32gb tablet.
