its not ddkp4. Its actually ddkp2. U can upgrade it via odin. Kies update software is most stupid software.

I got the same message some days before the update was avaible in my country. You'll probably be able to upgrade your phone soon, just wait.

that cant be it ... the update has already been released and others have already updated

If you know how to flash...just flash DDKP2 using odin twice

I got the same problem. After waiting for months, I reflashed it with odin. So no other way except odin or samsung service center for us.

update through odin ... sammykies the most ever stupid flash program
odin is very easy

[Q] How to downgrade to official GS2 firmware so I can upgrade using Kies?

Hi,
I flashed my phone to the latest ICS firmware at the time, which was lp6 i think. I want to downgrade it to another official one, like the unbranded UK version so when it is released in UK I can upgrade it using kies.
I tried many firmwares but only 1 was had the ability to be upgraded via kies according to the firmware listo on sammobile.com, I tried it but Kies states Your Device Does Not Support Updating Via Kies.
So just to test, I downloaded the latest o2 ICS firmware, I still get the same message.
Anyone know what I can do so kies recognises it?
All help will be appreciated, and thanks.

[Q] Kies cant upgrade my tablet

Hi guys , first post here. I got a new note 10.1 and as soon as possible i conected it to my PC through kies too ser if jelly bean was already available for me. It wasnt ( here in Brazil cell upgrades take a while ) . A few weeks later, after installing some programs, kies does not even searches for firmwares. And if i manually asks it to look for firmware upgrades, it says my device does not support initializing. Ive already reinstalled it but the problem is still there. Kies recognizes and upgrades my Galaxy s2. The tablet is non rooted and i already uninstalled other launchers. I appreciate any comments.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1978840
A guide on how to reinstall stock firmware without flashing by using KIES
Unfortunetly when i get até this point " Just go up to the top bar and choose firmware upgrade and initialization." ( third image ) , Kies says* my device does not support initializing.
Go to Sammobile and download the software for your region, Download ODIN and flash with that.
Don't know how to use ODIN, use search... ODIN has been around since the 1st Android Samsung phone....

Ok, but i still have other questions:Will I void my warranty? Do I have a faulty unit? If I hard reset , will the result be the same? Tks in advance.

[Q] Upgrade 4.0.4 to 4.1.2?

Howdy. I've got a Relay that I'm using on T-Mobile, which got upgraded OTA to Android v4.1.2 . But I have another, seemingly identical Relay that used to be on T-Mobile but doesn't have a SIM that is stuck on 4.0.4 . I use it for non-phone functions over Wifi. Using the phone settings it refuses to upgrade, saying "The device is up to date." I tried using a Windows machine with Samsung Kies installed (and upgraded), but Kies says "your device current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies".
I'm not really interested in rooting the phone at this point. I just want to upgrade to Android v4.1.2 so I can have the same apps on both stock phones. Any ideas?

Has the phone been previously rooted or modified? Usually that's why Kies would refuse to upgrade one.
In any case you can manually update it. The files are sprinkled around in the forum.

The phone hasn't been previously rooted or modified.
Where can I find the instructions and files to manually update it?

samfirmware and odin are apps for installing a firmware from a desktop? I don't have to root the phone or anything? I can find a stock 4.1.2 firmware for the Relay?

www.samfirmware.com is a place you can download firmwares for any Samsung Rom.
Odin is the program used to flash .tar images. You'll need Odin to flash things like stock firmwares and bootloaders like ClockworkMod (CWM)

Note P905 cant update

Hello!
I just bought my new tablet and I wanted to make sure I have latest version for my device, but I got a message saying that my device has been modified, ok so then I installed kies and it told me I had the latest version avaliable, then I went into download mode and I saw system status:Custom, I tried to wipe both partitions but still the same problem.... I bought this tablet today feels very strange that my system is custom. On my note 3 it is says official
Are you using a MicroSD? If yes, take it out, then reboot and check again. It's a known bug.
Same on mine. No micro sd rebooted many times
Sent from my SM-P905 using Tapatalk
If you rooted you've tripped the knox security sistem and samsung won't update a rooted device. At least that's what Ithink happened on my device...

Hello
I have the same problem. Is custom but Knox is 0x0. I try everything, including Odin, but NO result. In Odin don't start the process, in Kies it shows that is the last firmware, and OTA "the device is modified".
This is a common issue with the SM P905 variant, I had the same problem myself. The only way to sort it out is to send it to Samsung for repairs or take it in to a service centre. I'm pretty sure all they'll be doing is reflashing the firmware but you might not want to void the warranty by doing it yourself.

Wait simply for the update via KIES or OTA. It will be available soon or is still available for a lot of countries.
Status will pass from modified to Official.
check this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2710004
Hi,
You first have to check if this particular update (not the stability update BUT this "modified status bug" update is available for your country.
Check it here http://live.samsung-updates.com/inde...device=SM-P905
Have a good Sunday.

what is [email protected]#2 mean?

Hi,
I'm very new to play around with the handphone firwmware.
I read a lot of articles and had tried some stock firmwares with Odin .
yet, i found some interest string/characters something like
2.6.35.7-N7000DXKL3-..... [email protected]#2
2.6.35.7-perf-...... [email protected]#1
at Kernal version section of "About phone".
This is my quetions:
1.What is those "[email protected]#1" mean for?
2. Are those genuine stock firmwares ?
3. If not, is it security safe to use? I'm worry about the security issue.
thanx

thanks for your reply.
hxxp://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-S5830
Region: XSO
from rapidgator
or visit here and choose rapidgator
hxxp://samsung-updates.com/details/22200/Galaxy_Ace/GT-S5830/XSO/S5830DXKT5.html
May i know how to determine it?
I knew the best way to get the stock firmware is backup from the temporarily update files of KIES .
yet , obviously KIES is not providing firmware update to some of the older model anymore. eg: GT-S5830.
my GT-S5830 came with FROYO, region: MM1 @2011.02 .
I changed the region to:XSO (the only csc KIES can recognize at sg),
it still refuse to update and show a popup warning : 'GT-S5830' does not support initialising.
so, i have to count on Odin .

Changing the region may cause malfunction.
Get your firmware from SamMobile.com
thanks . after comparing the hash, very sure the old one is genuine too.
btw, after updating to gingerbread v2.3.6 DXKT5(XSO) .
I found my Samsung GT-S5830 lost the ability to act as Mass Storage in PC/TV/Set-top-box.
although we can get around this problem in pc, by installing the latest samsung usb driver in each pc .
Just wonder if anybody ever solve this problem ?
or, Is it possible to solved this problem, if i revert back to have old firmware: Froyo,DXKC1
I can't try it yet , coz all download links i found on internet is dead.

Any CyanogenMod based custom rom will allow you to mount your sd card as mass storage
