HDMI output? - HTC Inspire 4G

I am running absolution 3.3 and I have a Samsung HDMI output plug that came off the Samsung infuse... is there anything or app that I could use to get my phone to get this to work so I can use my phone on my Tv? Just a simple yes or no or a solution would be awesome...I searched and couldn't locate anything so I figured I'd post ..

The Inspire does not support HDMI output. There is an article on htcinspireforum.com that talks about doing DNLA streamiing but it does not go into detail.

HDMI/USB

I'm quite confused on the sensation ports.
Does it have a micro USB port or the HDMI port on the phone for charging?
Or does it have both?
has micro usb port. to do HDMI out you need to use an MHL dongle/cable/whatever

Also, does it charge your phone while plugged in to the TV?

It will with a MHL-enabled TV, or with a charger plugged into the MHL dongle.
If you a xbox or ps3 you can play movies, music, pictures off it to with regular usb wire.

On tmobiles website. Might get one later.
I have two MHL adapters, and soon a Sensation, will post up info about how well it works from the Sensation (brilliant with my SGSII).
Is there a cheaper way of doing it

Would the "GTMax Gold Plated High Speed Micro HDMI Male to Standard HDMI Male Cable For Archos 101 Internet Tablet BlackBerry PlayBook" from Amazon work properly with the HTC Sensation. Because so far it seems to be the cheapest cable on Amazon for the job
No mhl's on ebay

will this work?
no, there's no HDMI (micro or otherwise) port on the phone. Expansys seems to have a cheap aftermarket cable available that'll do the trick
Will do...

Sorry, should have linked to it on their site http://www.expansys-usa.com/expansys-mhl-to-hdmi-adapter-black-218572/
$16.99, adapts microUSB (male) to full-size HDMI (female), it's a "coming soon" product that doesn't seem to have an ETA.
So I got my mule adapter from tmobile....works great so far....must have the charger hooked up to the dongle for it to work....gonna play some movies and games wand will report back later

[Q]HML on AOSP

My question is at the end of this post.
Okay so I have a PS3 dual shock controller and I have it synced with my phone via Six axis(app from Android Market). I am now able to play game emulators quite comfortably with my fingers not in the way anymore. But then i had an idea to hook up my phone up to my HDTV, so I did via HML but it didn't work. I jumped on my computer and did a little bit of research and I found something that said that AOSP roms do not support HML which sucks because the Six axis app does not support most HTC roms and the Sensation is one of them.
Right now I am on CM7 alpha 10 and i was wondering if it was possible to get MHL support on AOSP roms?

Thank you for giving me an answer. I was sure HDMI was supported but then I realized I obviously do not have an HDMI port.

Well when I called to complain about the headphone jack dying they said there is no equitable replacement...my guess is they are basing off the Physical Keyboard...cause there is certainly phones on the same level as this.....

[Q] USB OTG

Is this possible on the Inspire? It has been implemented on the Desire.
I wasn't aware this had been achieved for the dhd as I have not seen any info on this. If it works for dhd though then it should also work for the inspire. Could you provide a link to the info on who got it working? Or on what Rom. I am curious as this has been an ongoing effort by many and no one that I'm aware of has achieved it.

I thought it was a clear no. You mistook sensation development for DHD. Its not currently possible and with the device age, devs have moved on. I wouldn't expect it to be done ever.

Does MHL support come from the ROM or kernel?

I just bought a MHL adapter for my brother for Christmas, I haven't tested it yet. I was just wondering if the support for MHL is in the ROM or kernel. And if you know if paranoid android had the capability. I talked to Dragunkorr about it and he didn't know about MHL so he's going to look into adding support into his roms. But will that even work? Or is it something in the kernel? Thanks.
P.S. MHL is HDMI out.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
AFAIK it is mostly in the kernel. But the rom could/should have a say as well.
I'm on viperS 1.5.2, which has the option of turning off mhl support completely. Now I'm not sure if it is done from the rom side alone, I do know the kernel supports it.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
Interesting. Okay. Well I'll find out tomorrow if my kernel supports it then. Thanks.
