[Q] USB OTG - HTC Inspire 4G

Is this possible on the Inspire? It has been implemented on the Desire.

I wasn't aware this had been achieved for the dhd as I have not seen any info on this. If it works for dhd though then it should also work for the inspire. Could you provide a link to the info on who got it working? Or on what Rom. I am curious as this has been an ongoing effort by many and no one that I'm aware of has achieved it.

I'm sorry, it was the sensation.

I thought it was a clear no. You mistook sensation development for DHD. Its not currently possible and with the device age, devs have moved on. I wouldn't expect it to be done ever.

sorry, I'm not an HTC guy, just looking into it for a friend.
Thanks for the info.

No worries.

Eventually it will have CyanogenMod on it.
I understand that the G2x has vanilla Android. I just like the bigger better screen of the HTC. I could do without Sense, after having the Nexus S.
The bootloader on the device is currently locked. HTC is going to unlock it eventually, and then we'll see what happens.

And the g2x is far from AOSP. I have it, trust me, it looks stock but underneath it's full of LGE's crappy framework and coding.

As soon as I read the OP, I thought to myself, "Oh, no...dear God...spare this person's life for he knows not what he posts!".
Haha.
And yes, a quick search using our BFF Google would have given you the apk to download
Actually I saw the original thread before. No need for sarcasm, but thank you.

Just out of curiosity, if you already knew how to achieve Netflix on your Sensation, what was the post for? Not trying to be difficult, just wanting to understand the logic.

I'm sure it will be made obvious when it's available. No need for users to keep posting CM7 threads every week.

You won't. We're working on overlay stuff now. I'm recording a new video tonight as per Bumblebee's (another CM7 dev) request.

Port rom

How do i port a rom? N i looked n looked n noting useful. Thanks
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
First off. You need good grammar and spelling, no more of the abbreviating stuff. Second off there is no sure fire way to "port a Rom" you will have to go to chef central on here and read for hours then compile your own cm7 build. Once you can do that you can work off that.

There is a couple stickies in android chef central that you can take a look through to get yourself familiarized with whats necessary to get started. I would definatly recommend setting up android kitchen on ubuntu if its possible for ya.

For starters if you want to just do a straight port, you could port miui from the DHD. It's the easiest one

lol the DHD and Desire Z?
well first and most noticeable is that the Desire Z (Tmobile G2) has a hardware keyboard. the next thing, is that the screen is wayyy smaller than that of the DHD. then there are the more inner things. the Desire Z has a 800 MHz CPU, while DHD sports a 1 GHz (like us). and also, the Desire Z has very little RAM, can't remember off the top of my head, but it's a lot less than the DHD or the MT4G.
but while the devices are different, it's still mildly easy to port a Desire Z ROM to the MT4G...

Mildly? The first ROM i ever ported was a MexdroidMod version using DSIXDA's Kitchen. It took like 20 minutes. I had an issue with the keyboard and dropped a gingerbread keyboard apk in to fix it. That was the ONLY issue I ran into.
I call that mega easy.

Good attempt, but I saw more horrible questions than this one.
Nevertheless, don't stop trying! I'll support your effort.
I think he doesn't know what Google search is! I have a 10 year old daughter that knows how to find everything this guy has asked... and she is flashing her phone more than I do know!
