[APP]World Wide KindleFire - Watch Amazon Video From Outside U.S - Kindle Fire Themes and Apps

New version is available on the market with CM7 support.
For those of you who don't know this app -
It is a perfect solution for those kindle fire users who doesn't live in USA.
It will lets you to watch Amazon Streaming Video as if you're connected from the U.S and even if your device is rooted.
Search "World Wide KindleFire" in the market.
Direct link to market

OTA Rootkeeper app is free and does the same thing as this. So, what does this do that is better?
With OTA you can temporarily unroot and watch amazon videos, then after u watch, press reroot and you are rooted again.

Yes but whenever you restore back to root, do a reboot. OTA RootKeeper is Awesome btw.
Sent from my Kindle Fire using xda premium

OTARoot keeper won't let you watch Amazon video if you're located outside of the U.S, And this is the whole point in this app.
It's not just unroot your device it also lets you watch amazon video no matter of where you're surfing from....

Does this app actually circumvent the root check, or does it unroot you just like OTA Rootkeeper?

I guess the basic unroot operation is the same like OTA, but it does avoid you from restarting the kindle fire or manually kill the amazon video process each time you want to watch a movie.

Working good here on CM7, good work.

i see that people from are saying that doesn't work...and don't see many reviews in the Android Market. Does it really work?

yes.
it works great!
it's just that some times the proxy servers are a bit slow and stuff and then you just need to go to the next one.

Seems like no servers available for days now.

Yea the servers are pretty loaded in the last two days.. but I'm still able to get working servers, which error do you get?

I get the following:
Failed on server validation. Try the next server.
Could not find any good server.
Seems like program might have lost root. Tried uninstalling both program and Superuser but cannot give it root again. Any tips?

try setting the super user automatic response to allow and then reinstall the app it might help...

Tried it.
Still same error as before.

what error are you getting?
are you positive that you get root permissions?
cause Amazon pushed a security update in the last weekend so you might have lost your root permissions on the device.
have you tried going to the next server?

I have root as all my other root apps gets root fine and works.
Tried till there's no more servers to test.

But when you start the app does it gets root permissions?
you see the toast notification "World Wide KindleFire has been granted SuperUser permissions" ?

So I can use this on cm7 to watch amazon video? Or is there a different way to watch prime video? I'm in the US.

I don't see that one.
Tried uninstalling and deleting data of the app and Superuser app but World Wide Kindle Fire never asks for root again for some reason.

New Market. http://market.android.com.
UPDATE: We can sign in now. When going to download an app it offers a list of what device to install it to. My only Android device is my G Tablet and the market lists it as NVIDIA VEGAn-Tab-V1.0.0.B5.1.
Technically an web-based app market should offer us an "full" app market, no? i'm sure every app is visible, i guess the question now is after we log in will the app market recognize our device and attempt to block certain apps from us, or would an app that doesn't show up on the Gtab just give us an app not found when we click on it from the Gtab browser?

Correct when trying to sign into market.android.com you get a invalid request both on the PC and Gtab and Phone.
They mentioned that when you select an app, it will list the available devices you can push it to, based off your registered devices features and OS.
I take this to mean that if you can't see it in the Market on your device.....your device want be listed as a choice to install for those apps on the web.
Oh..and this is typically for you to do from your home/work/public library computer.....browse the apps, select what you want and it installs to your phone. You still use the "Market" app on the devices (phones/tablets).

I wonder if this will be unusable for people with devices that aren't intended to have access to the Market like our beloved G Tabs. Will Google let you OTA install to a device that they think shouldn't be there?

If all the apps aren't showing up, just use the market hack. Go to the task manager, force stop and clear the browser cache and reboot.

Indycar Mobile APK for non verizon users?

as the tittle states im looking for the indycar mobile app, you can only find it on the market or have it texted to you but only if you have verizon. I do not so please help

Anyone with Verizon please help?

Sprint User - Sucessfully downloaded Indycar App from Market
If you have root, Install Market Enabler: This will allow you to temporarily set your phone to appear as a Verizon phone and download the Indycar App. Just did it and it works.
Description of Market Enabler:
"A SIM Tool application to change the SIM issuer code in the running system (not permanent, will be original after reboot or flight mode)
This application is ad supported, please see my other applications to get a donate key that will remove the ads ;-)
Precondition to use this tool is
- Rooted phone
- su app
- busybox"
Works for download the app but after the app seeks for Verizon network to authenticate.
Yeah, I've got a rooted Cliq that I downloaded the IndyCar App with, but it needs a Verizon data connection to enable the app. I think this is probably a similar check as my girlfriends Evo3D's NASCAR app, which needed a Sprint connection.
1. Any way to fool the app into authenticating?
2. Any way to transfer an authenticated app?
Perhaps someone with a verizon connection could create a backup after it authenticates the first time so that others can restore?
Would that work?

I did this by downloading and running the app on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus, then copying the backup to my Transformer Prime (non-Verizon). It bypassed the check, but alerted me that I was running a non-supported device and closed. I looks like not only does it do a network check, but also a device compatibility check. So no-go for me.

Hmm, that stinks. I 'downloaded' the app on my Dad's iPhone. It looks like it was just a web page that added an icon to his home screen. It was originally open in safari, and in the menu, there was an option to add the page to the homescreen. After that it seemed to work like a normal app. On the iPhone, it seems like it was just a link to a webpage.
I wonder how hard it'd be to decompile this thing and take out these checks?
Also, if you want to stream IMS radio from the webpage on an android, it looks like you need to set your useragent to the desktop. The streaming audio didn't work on racecontrol.indycar.com until I did that. I used Dolphin to change the user agent.
I would like to run it on my Galaxy nexus.
Zulucap - any chance you can share your backed-up app with me?
I have a backed up indycar mobile apk that installs gets threw the network check but fails because my device is not supported. If anyone has the knowledge to figure this out I would make it worth their while. Let me know and I can send the back up files.

if you have root change the name in the build.prop. use adb or ROM toolbox pro app, there is a setting called build.prop editor. pm me if it works. i would do this with netflix app back in the day. you have the find the name of the phone the backup came from, and change yours to that. ---this is how devs change the device name when you see a crazy ass phone name ex DARKSIDE Galaxy it is cap sensitive. ex. to get netflix on my nexus i would change Samsung to samsung. hope this helps
Did anyone ever get this to work? Would be nice for the 500!

It's easy enough to get it installed on a non-Verizon phone, but when you open the app, it still complains about not being on a Verizon network. I'm wondering if the initial load has to happen over a Verizon IP connection to "verify" the app. If that's the case, I wonder if you could launch it with a data connection shared via a Verizon hotspot? I guess if it can force the initial connection via the cell radio, this wouldn't work.
To install it on a non-Verizon device, you can go to the webpage play store and push it to your device.

[WIP] Google Play Movies (Without root check)

Just thought I'd start a thread on this and see if there's any interest. If there is, I'd like to get some people together to edit and post an *.apk . As things stand, VOODOO OTA Rootkeeper lets me temp-unroot to use Google Play Movies, but I miss the old Google Movies I had with the root check disabled.

I'm interested in this, super annoyed I can't take advantage of the 25 cent movie promo
Definitely interested. I'm using Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper but Play Movies crashes the second I try to watch or download a movie. Anyone else having this issue? I'm running a Verizon XOOM LTE rooted as well as a Galaxy Nexus LTE running CM9. The whole point of these apps is to allow media consumption on my wireless devices, so having to watch the movies on my laptop seems to defeat the purpose.
Thought Voodoo OTA don't work with Samsung devices?

Well, I was able to temp-unroot with VOODOO OTA Rootkeeper, and Google Play Movies launched without a hitch and didn't display the root warning. I haven't tried to rent/view a movie yet, but all seems to be in working order. However, as I said in my previous post, I really just want the root check disabled. Before updating, I had a version of Google Movies with root check disabled and I loved it! I just want the updated Google Play Movies with the same modification. I really hope someone with some know-how gets a chance to look at this thread. I'd like to see a modded *.apk before the end of the week. There are a lot of great rental deals on the Play Store that I would love to take advantage of on my Galaxy Note's gorgeous 5.3" HD Super AMOLED display.
I'll see what I can do about getting this thread temporarily moved to "Development."

Saying "I'd like to see an apk by the end of the week" isn't the proper way to ask. This isn't a problemonly Notes suffer, this is an Android problem, have you searched xda already? When I said I'd like to see an *.apk by the end of the week, it wasn't intended to be taken as a push for someone to mod an *.apk for us. I really did just mean that I'd like to see an *.apk by the end of the week. There are a lot of really great deals on the Android Mar.... ahem... Play Store right now and it would be a shame if a bunch of people weren't able to take advantage of those deals and enjoy those movies simply because their devices were rooted. I would really like to see this problem solved. And yes, at the time of the OP, I had searched extensively for an updated *.apk with root check disabled... to no avail.
To address your other concern, I was able to temp-unroot and restore root without any ill effects. If there are any issues with busybox, I haven't noticed any of them yet. If there is something specific for which you'd like me to test, I'd be happy to give it a shot. Just let me know.

If you're able to backup and restore apps in titanium backup OK then you should be good. Or try giving/denying permissions with SuperUser to a new root app. If that's working good you're good
Unfortunately Google knows it loses business by restricting rentals but...think of it. Rooted phones have yhe aability to capture and copy movies. It will never happen by Google's hand

spectrum tv app will not run on rooted tf700t

So I have had my tf700t since about Jan and immediately rooted and installed 7.1.2 with custom recovery. installed spectrum tv app and it worked ok. The vid was always a little choppy.
recently the app gives me an error saying it will not work with a rooted device. ugh. I probably use that app more than almost any other as its nice way to check the guide. other than going back to stock what are my options? by the way, I have tried installing the app from the apk directly to the tablet and same issue.
Update: so now the app runs but will not display the video, and present same error message regarding device rooted. I guess I can live with this as I said before, I don;t typically watch shows on my tablet as the video is a little too choppy to watch which is a drag. But at least I can scroll the channel guide
Install an older version of the app and do not update
thanks, I will give it a try. very annoying when trying to navigate the lineup and every station that I select I get the "this app doesn't work if your rooted" pop up.
I use a app called Disable Service cn.wq.disableservice. Disable all background services, wipe cache and it works. This app also is good for disabling apps that force you to update the app. Older apps do work if the app cannot determine that it is outdated.

App that allows root permissions without root?

Hello,
I was browsing around XDA the other day. I stumbled across the name of an app with a GitHub page. I am trying to remember the name of the app and cannot. It said it would allow root apps to function without actually rooting your phone. Does anyone happen to know what it is called?
I have a Pixel 4xl. I can and have rooted it before. However, even though I hid Magisks and excluded a app for a real casino I got banned. They tried to say it was because I was not able to be geolocated. However, the app confirmed with a message stating my phone was rooted.
I would like to be able to run AdAway without having to allow it to work via VPN. I already have a VPN which I use when I am not playing one of my online casinos. There are also a few more root apps I like. I would like to use them without any worry.
Thank you,
Rocky

Pixel 4xl I ended up finding the app. It was Shizuku. I did not get a change to read all about it when I first heard about it. The page I was viewing almost made it sound like a magisk replacement. Then, my phone died and I couldn't remember what it was called.
I wish there was an app or something that will allow this permissions for apps that need them to work better. However, remain undetectable at the same time. That would be great. There are a few root apps I love to install. However, root is not as popular as it once was to me at least.
that app allows running as adb shell, no root access can be provided.
